CHAPTER 103

Book:Stepbrothers Punish Me Every Night Published:2025-3-17

Mia’s POV
“Your girl?” the bully asked as the four brothers approached.
Everyone watching gathered around, surprised.
Maybe my relief was short-lived.
Why couldn’t they just come help me without announcing to everyone that I was their girl?
What makes them think that delusion would ever happen in this lifetime?
Not after everything they did to me.
“I think you heard us clearly, Alpha Kent,” Xavier replied. “We just said she was our girl. And how dare you bully her?”
I nudged Daisy to move back with me as we watched the scene unfold.
Maybe we should just get away from here.
I don’t care if they kill each other.
“Alpha Xavier, Alpha Nathan, Alpha Sean, and Alpha Rolex-the four invincible, powerful brothers, famous in the werewolf world-you’re telling me this girl belongs to all of you?” Kent scoffed.
“I don’t belong to anyone!” I snapped.
But he didn’t take me seriously.
He ignored me and continued facing the brothers.
“What part of ‘she is our girl’ did you not understand?” Nathan said angrily.
Kent smirked. “If what you’re saying is true, then it still doesn’t matter. They bumped into me, and they should apologize. You brought a lowly wolf to this gathering of powerful werewolves-aren’t you scared she might be killed at any time?”
Everyone was shocked by his words.
Even I couldn’t believe it.
He was openly wishing for my death, just because he thought I was weak.
Why does this hurt when this has always been my life?
Being bullied.
Being looked down on.
Even having my wolf was a miracle. I don’t think she should’ve chosen someone as weak as me.
“How dare you talk to her like that?! I’m going to make sure you’re buried here today!” Nathan growled, ready to attack.
I stopped him.
I don’t know how I did it.
Maybe it was a push from my wolf-a silent demand not to let others speak to me that way.
After everything I’d been through, I couldn’t let this opportunity slip away.
“What are you doing, Mia?! Let me teach him a lesson for disrespecting you!” Nathan shouted.
But I didn’t let him go.
“You want to teach him a lesson for me?” I asked, looking him straight in the eye.
“I don’t need you to do that. I can protect myself.”
Then I turned to face Kent.
He was laughing at us. I moved closer to him and slapped him.
Hard.
The crowd gasped. No one expected me to do that.
Even though he thought I didn’t deserve to be here, I wouldn’t let anyone trample on my dignity anymore.
“You dare slap me?!” Kent’s eyes turned red with rage. “Do you even know what I’m going to do to you after this?!”
I slapped him again.
Bringing him back to his senses.
“I don’t care what you try to do to me,” I said coldly. “I dare you to try.”
“Just because they brought you here, you think you’re some big shot now?” He sneered. “You think you can do whatever you want? Let me tell you-if you dare do that again, I’ll kill you. And no one will save you from me!”
I slapped him again.
This time, he froze.
He was genuinely shocked that I still dared to hit him-after his threats.
“I don’t think I should waste my time on someone like you,” I said. “You’ve always been jealous of everyone, always trying to be better than anyone.”
“You’re not even from a royal family. What makes you think you deserve to be praised?” I continued. “Everything you have now is because of your hatred toward others-because you try to take everything that doesn’t belong to you.
“Am I right? Or am I wrong?”
The crowd murmured. It was clear my words were getting to him. I could see the fear in his eyes.
“Shut your mouth! You know absolutely nothing about me!” he barked.
“You’re right,” I said coolly. “I wouldn’t wish to know someone like you. You’re just a loser trying to gain some importance in the world. You and I are the same-so how dare you try to criticize me?
“Shameless.”
He clenched his fists. But he didn’t attack. He just walked away, shoving me with his shoulder as he passed.
The brothers started to go after him, but I stopped them.
“Leave him alone,” I said. “I told you already-I don’t need your help.”
Then I grabbed Daisy’s hand and left them behind.
Daisy grinned. “Wow. I didn’t know you could get under someone’s skin like that!”
She looked at me, impressed. “How did you know so much about him? Do you know him from somewhere?”
I shook my head.
“I don’t really know who he is. But I do know people like him.
“People who always try to show authority… they’re usually the biggest losers underneath.”
She nodded. “You’re right. People like him pretend to be strong, but deep down, they’re the ones struggling the most.”
We went back to our room. Daisy was tired and fell asleep early. But I couldn’t sleep. So I went outside to get some air.
I found a quiet spot, sat down, and gazed up at the stars. My mom should be one of those stars, right? But I don’t even know which one.
I just hope she’s at peace, wherever she is. And maybe, someday I’ll finally find it in my heart to forgive her. For leaving me.
“What are you doing here alone? You know how dangerous things are right now.”
I heard Rolex’s voice behind me.
I didn’t bother to look at him.
“If the situation is dangerous,” I muttered, “then I’ll deal with it on my own. Just leave me alone.”
But instead of leaving, he sat down beside me.
We sat in silence, staring at the stars.
But I couldn’t help wondering-
What does he want? What is he after? I won’t let him have it.
“Tell me the truth,” I said finally. “Why are you sitting beside me tonight?
“What exactly do you want?”
“You, Mia.”
His voice was calm, yet firm.
“When are you finally going to acknowledge us… and let’s talk about everything that happened before?”
