ANASTASIA
Two days later, I was heading out of the mansion with six guards, just to carry out another test at the lab.
I was very weak that afternoon and wished Arnold was around to follow me, but he went to the company with Diego. So, I had to go alone with these men.
As we made our way to the lab, I began to feel nauseous from the pills I’ve been taking. I planned to bring this to Jeremy’s notice and hear from him.
But right on the road, “Stop the car!” I ordered the guard behind the wheel, holding my mouth.
He immediately stopped and I pushed the door open, vomiting right on the road.
“Oh Goddess!” I groaned, stepping out to find a spot to sit and get some air.
“Ma’am, you know we have to move,” The guards said, following me over to a bench.
Luckily we weren’t far from a nice spot. I sat on the bench to get myself, looking right into the sky.
The guards didn’t bother to talk again. They just stood there, keeping watch.
Just as I was enjoying my peaceful moment, hoping the nauseous feeling would go away, “Anna?” I heard someone calling my name from behind.
I was surprised but hoped it was another person who was bearing the same name that was passing by and got recognized by someone.
But it wasn’t.
“Anna!” The voice called again, forcing the guards to draw closer to me.
When I turned back to look, I was surprised to see Cassandra, my step sister!
What is she doing in Crescent pack?!
“ANNA!” She screamed again, running up to me with two of her guards following.
Before she could get close, my guards stopped her, standing in her way.
That stunned Casey who found this really amusing. “Waw! So many bodyguards. What’s happening, sis?”
I didn’t give her an answer to that question but asked, ” What are you doing here?”
“Are you for real? After one month without seeing each other, the best you can ask is what I’m doing here?” She frowned at me, swaying her head unhappily.
“Anna, it’s me your sister. What’s… Why are you looking so weak?” She asked, noticing my weak state.
Again, I didn’t give her any response. I just turned away and instantly lost my peace.
Casey came around to face me. She ignored the fact that my guards were keeping her off and sat on the bench with me.
“Do you mind? She’s my sister!” She sparked at them, drawing closer to them.
Stubborn, that’s her middle name.
“Anna, I’m so sorry about what happened that night at the party. I really wanted father to see how things were going but… It didn’t go well for us.” She was back again with her fake sympathy, expressing sadness from the bottom of her ass.
“But you need to understand something sis, father wasn’t wrong about Diego. He was looking out for you and I can boldly say you’re being misleaded by that man to turn against your family.”
“Don’t forget where you are, Casey, ” I reminded, looking at her.
“You’re in Alpha Diego’s pack. These are his men.”
She lifted her eyes to look at the guards, who were ready to pounce on her. Still, that didn’t keep her mouth shut. She still had something to say about my Alpha.
“That won’t stop me from saying the truth, sis. That man is unfit for you. He’s terrible! Look, I’ll prove it to you.”
Casey pulled out her phone and began to show me all her naughty chats with Diego for the past one month!
“He has been calling, texting and meeting up with me, Sis. Is this the man you claim loves you so much? Look at it and tell me!” She placed the phone in my hand so I’d read the messages.
I read them and felt a clog in my chest. This is indeed Diego’s chat with Casey. He’s being all flirty with her.
I know why he’s carrying out this act with my step sister. It’s to get her to give him the drugs.
But what is hurting me is the fact that he has been doing this for one months and… To me it feels like he’s cheating on me when I understand his plan here.
It still hurts.
In the text, Diego agreed to give Casey the best sex if she gives him what he wants. He didn’t indicate that he wants the drug, and I can see why she allowed me to read to that part without freaking out.
“What is he asking from you?” I asked, pointing at the message.
Casey drifted into her acting and feigned sadness. She bit down on her lower lip and said, “Anna, I… I feel so terrible. Diego… I can’t do this.”
“What does he want from you? ” I repeated.
She sniffed and replied, ” He wants me to be his mistress.” She faked a cry, covering her face.
Knowing this is all I lie, I just went along with her game, handing the phone back to her while my hands trembled.
“I’m so sorry, sis. I had to call and tell him to stop all his drama. He’s your Alpha and he plans on marrying you. But… Why is he coming after me? What does he see in me?” She asked, placing her hand on her chest to fake innocence.
I stared at my step sister as she faked love for me, adding more spice to my wound.
She claimed she’s just coming from Diego’s company because he wanted to see her badly.
“And I don’t want you to think I’m lying, that’s why I came with proof,” She said, sliding her phone and switching to her gallery.
“Look,” Casey showed me a heartbreaking picture of she and Diego in his office, getting… cozy together!
She sat on his laps while he ran his hand into her skirt to… “That’s enough,” I said, pushing the phone out of my sight.
“I know it’s hurtful to see sis, but I did this to show you the kind of man you’re planning to spend your life with. He’s a monster, Anna. He doesn’t love you.”
“Are you done?” I questioned, squinting my eyes at her.
Casey understood the question. She frowned at me and said, rising to her feet, “I am trying to help you here, Anna. At least I have shown you the truth about that man. It’s up to you to think wisely. Leave that man while you can. He’s only going to hurt you.”
“Yet you were sitting on his laps to enjoy the pleasure he was giving to you? Should I take this advice as your plan to push me away so you can have my Alpha to yourself?”
“Anna! Why… How could you think of such a…” She stammered, picking an offense.
“You have always wanted to be around Diego, Casey. You finally got the attention you were looking for and now you feel it’s best to get rid of me. I can understand your urges, sis.”
She gasped, glaring at me. “Are you calling me a slut?”
“I didn’t call you that name, but from what I’m seeing… I think you are.”
“ANNA!” She sparked, drawing close.
But she was pushed back by one of my guards, causing her to stagger into the arms of her own men roughly.
Cassandra was furious with the way I humiliated her.
“Remember you’re a married woman, Casey. If people should find out that you’re going around seducing other men, you’ll be labeled a whore. It’s my sisterly advice to you. Goodbye,” I said with a smirk, heading for the car.
“You’ll be sorry for this, Anna! Diego doesn’t love you! He’s going to throw you in the dump very soon!!” She yelled from behind.
I didn’t bother to look at her but got into the car, ordering the guards to move.
