ANASTASIA
“For one good month he kept me aside in his mansion like a trash bin! But Casey?! He has been chatting with her throughout, filling that Witch’s head with stupid ideas, like making her think he likes her!” I raged out my frustration to Jeremy, telling him about my encounter with my step sister.
He was a good listener. He gave me all his attention while going through my test.
“I hate her so much!”
“I also hate her. She’s a prozzie,” Jeremy snapped his finger, acting sassy.
When I saw this, I bursted into laughter.
He laughed along with me and said, ” Now she’s smiling. Looks like the rage is gone.”
“Yeah, it’s gone. It’s…” I kept laughing, but… It switched to tears.
I cried out in pain, covering my face from Jeremy.
“Anna no. Not again.” He pulled my hands off and begged me to control myself.
“I’m sorry you’re going through this. I wish I had a way out. I just wish I could help you.”
“Jeremy,” I sniffed, falling right into his arms for comfort. “I don’t know what to do anymore.”
“Please don’t say that. You can’t give up yet. Everything will be fine, ” He said, wrapping his arms around me.
Where I rested on him, crying out my heart, I carefully ran my hand on his chest, thanking him for always being supportive.
“You and Arnold are my only friends. I don’t know what I’d have done without you two.”
“I understand Anna, but… Can you not…”
“I really wish there was a way out for us. A way to solve this problem.” I squeezed him closely, burying myself deeper into his hold.
“Anna, I think you’re going too far already,” Jeremy said, taking hold of my hands to pull me off.
But when he tried, I snapped!
I furiously tossed him to the ground and got right on Jeremy, kissing all over his body hungrily!
“ANNA!” He yelled, using his strength to push me off.
I rolled off but got to my feet immediately, coming back at Jeremy to make him give me what I want!
“We won’t take long, Jerry. Just give me your… AHHH!” I screamed, feeling him pierce something into my neck.
Whatever it was, it did the trick.
I fell on my knees and straight to the ground, passing out slowly.
“Anna, I’m sorry. But I had to do it,” Jeremy’s voice echoed in the background.
He was apologizing.

“We can’t keep this hidden anymore, Beta. We have to tell Alpha Diego.”
“Not yet! Do you think I haven’t tried to bring this matter to the Alpha before? I have! But the body response he’s giving isn’t helpful and… Fuck!”
I opened my eyes slowly and found myself in a completely wide room, lying on a bed.
When I looked around, I realized I was in the same room that Lady died.
This startled me up to my feet, leaving me uncomfortable.
“Anna?”
“She’s awake!”
I turned over to the window and saw Arnold and Jeremy staring at me. They soon ran over to the door and came in to see me.
“Anna,” Arnold called, drawing near.
But I was too scared to stay in this chamber.
“Take me out of this room, please,” I pleaded with them, burying myself weakly in their hold.
They both obeyed.
They brought me back to Jeremy’s desk and made me sit on the chair. When I sat down feeling so weak, I asked Jeremy, “What happened? How did I end up in that place?”
“Anna, your infection kicked in again. You tried to force me to have sex with you,” He explained, pointing at his lab coat on the table.
I tore it without knowing!
Oh heavens, I’m becoming a monster!
“Look, we can’t wait anymore. We need to find a lot of that drug so I can work on it fast. I don’t think we can keep this going. I’m… I’m worried about you, Anna, ” Jeremy expressed his fear.
He was running out of ideas to help me.
He told Arnold about the drugs and how it’s taking away my strength and making me feel sick.
“She’ll have to stop before it leads to something bad.”
Worried, Arnold looked at me. He went on his knees and made a suggestion with a heavy heart, “I think we should try and speak to Diego about this.”
“Arnold, No.”
“Anna, listen please!” He grabbed my hands. “I know he’ll hurt your feelings by saying something harsh but you have to tell him so he can take this matter seriously!”
“He still won’t!” I angrily pulled my hands out of the Beta’s hold, puffing out raging steam.
“He won’t listen to you. He’ll only think it’s some kind of plot to get him to touch me. That’s his answer to all my calls, ” I said with sadness, burying myself right in my spot.
“Leave him alone let him work. It’d be best if this selfish lady heads out into the world and find that drug herself than ask him.”
“Anna.” Arnold sounded hurt. “Did Diego tell you all these?” He asked.
I didn’t give him a reply, but my tears did.
Arnold and Jeremy sighed at this and decided not to get Diego involved for my sake.
“We have to head home, Anna. It’s late,” Arnold said, pointing at the time.
Together, we left the lab and went in the car.
On our way, Arnold told me what Jeremy did. “He had to inject you with a doze so you’ll stop. Then he called me over to help.”
“What about the guards?” I asked, noticing that they weren’t outside, not even the cars.
“I sent them back,” He answered.
“Oh, okay,” I responded weakly, keeping my head down.
After a brief silence between us, I said to Arnold from the depths of my heart, “I see people around me, yet I feel so empty and lonely…. I want to go somewhere far away from Diego. I want to leave.”
“What?” He reacted.
I stayed quiet in my seat, repeating my wish again. “Somewhere that’s free of all this stress. Even if it means I have to stay and die there… I’ll take it.”
“Anna, don’t say that!” Arnold grabbed my hand tight. “You can’t make such decision for yourself. You aren’t going anywhere.”
“And stay in that mansion where I’m treated like a prisoner by that man? I think I’ll choose the first option,” I chuckled, falling my head back.
“You aren’t going anywhere, Anna. Diego needs you.”
“Are sure about that, Arnold?” I questioned, looking at him. “Are you sure your Alpha still wants me?”
“He does, ” He responded, glancing at me then back on the road.
“Look, you’re both going through a struggling process at this period and… And I’m the only one who can tell you what is really going on with Diego. Anna, he’s lost but his heart still yearns for you.”
He drives carefully into a path at the right, still holding my hand.
“He has lost his way of showing it. He’s filled with rage. Your presence in that mansion is the only thing keeping him going. Anna… Diego loves you. He still does.”
“Are… You telling me the truth?” My eyes welled up with tears on hearing Arnold.
I know he will never lie to me. He’s always doing his best to help me stay strong.
“I swear to the heavens, it’s the truth. He’s just lost. If you leave… He will lose it.”
My heart skipped. I was beginning to miss my Alpha Lord.
“Please don’t let this hard time weaken your love for him, ” He begged.
I clinged on to what Arnold had said, hoping Diego finds his way back to me soon.
When we arrived at the mansion, I was surprised to see Diego outside the mansion yelling at the guards he sent to follow me.
When he saw Arnold’s car coming up to the mansion, he rushed up to the vehicle desperately.
Seeing this, I felt a spark for my Alpha again.
He… He still cares.
Diego hurriedly opened the door and found me leaning in the seat weakly. He was shocked by my state and asked Arnold, “Where did you find her?”
“Alpha relaxed, she was at the lab. Jeremy called to tell me that she fell asleep. She just needs to rest.”
“But why is she weak? What happened?” He kept questioning Arnold, demanding for answers.
Seeing he won’t let Arnold be, I replied, “I was asleep. I didn’t know the time had gone.”
“You were sleeping?” He lifted his brow, frowning at this. “I don’t believe this. Please tell me you didn’t do this to get my attention?”
“Alpha! She said she was sleeping.”
Hearing this from Diego’s mouth, I lost the spark.
It was gone.
“Arnold don’t defend her. She’s fond of this habit nowadays,” He said, still accusing me of looking for his attention.
Annoyed, I pulled myself out of the car and walked pass Diego without saying a word.
He had stopped talking to Arnold when I moved. And I didn’t bother to look back to see if he was looking at me.
It’s best I just walk ahead before he thinks this is all an act to get him to come after me.
I can only feel hurt, but to cry again… I can’t even bring out anymore tears right now.
