A loud bark of laughter resonated once again. It was laced with so much mockery that if she was in different situation, she would certainly feel offended and punched the hell of this guy.
However, she wasn’t in the position to do that now.
Unfortunately, she does not have the upper hand right now. So, all that she could do was to grit her teeth and suppress the lingering emotions that she couldn’t comprehend anymore. She pursed her lips together as she bit her tongue.
The masked man continued walking towards her. Even though she wanted to kick his *ss, she couldn’t because she was still cuffed.
“Relax, Leila… You look so… tensed.” The eerie man commented insultingly.
This time, she couldn’t stop herself from speaking already.
“What do you want?”
She was a bit shocked at how those words came out from her mouth.
It was a reflection of strength and pure resolve.
Silence filled the air.
“Your father… The Blacks killed him, right?” The masked man revealed seriously.
She couldn’t stop her eyes from widening being shocked was an understatement.
Then, the masked man chuckled lightly.
“Y-You… H-How…” Leila didn’t even know how to complete her sentence.
She was caught off guard. She didn’t know what to say.
“How did I know that?” The masked man continued her unfinished sentence.
Then, he shook his head as he walked towards the huge, old window.
This time, she couldn’t take off her eyes off him. She was all ears. He had caught her attention. She didn’t want to blink even for a bit.
This is it.
Someone could tell her the truth.
“Of course, I know. I am there.” He finally stated causing her to gasp for air.
She couldn’t breathe as she felt her heart being crashed into little pieces.
Leila closed her eyes firmly and when she opened them, it was already blurred with unshed tears.
She couldn’t utter a single word. She wanted to know more. But it seemed like she didn’t have to asked anything because the masked man already continued talking. He was still facing the huge, old window.
“Your father… He is a kind man. Did you know that he is one of the Black’s servant omega?” The masked man spoke then, he turned around to face her.
Her lips slightly parted as she looked at him.
“W-What…” She whispered under her breath but it surely reached the man’s ears.
Her tears began to fall especially when he nodded his head.
“Yes, he is their most trusted servant omega. And when he discovered a lot of things already, they eliminate him. And that’s the truth.” He finally told her.
Leila shook her head as she broke their eye contact. She couldn’t simply believe everything. She didn’t know what else to think of. She didn’t know what to say.
“I know it is hard to believe. But they k*lled him. In the depths of the woods. In that cold place they left him there after they k*lled him.” He revealed seriously.
This time, it was as if she couldn’t breathe anymore. It was as if she was being drag to her own memories the time when she saw her own father, full of blood.
She shook her head harshly as she bit her lower lip. She closed her eyes firmly.

In the middle of darkness… in that cold place… She saw her own father… Full of his own blood. It’s all bloodbath.

And since then, it gave her that traumatic experience. It kept on playing inside her head over and over again.
It didn’t even leave her mind so, she had to attend therapy sessions with her mother.
They tried a lot of things until she finally forgot about it.
And now, every emotion kept on running down her mind.
The emotions that were suppressed when she forgot everything, it went downhill right at that moment filling her every soul.
She cried hysterically as the masked man looked away.
Her poor father…
He didn’t deserve that kind of death.
“I can help you get your revenge.” After a short while, the masked man stated.
Her tears were already dried up in her cheeks.
She stared at him seriously.
This time, she couldn’t feel anything anymore.
Leila gritted her teeth.
They killed her father because he discovered something. And that was it? He had been loyal to them. She knew that. Her father sacrificed their moments together for his work. And now… this?
She looked at the masked man this time, she was with pure resolve.
“How?” She asked him her voice full of conviction.
The masked man smirked behind his mask apparently, Leila couldn’t see him. It seemed like his plan was already becoming real.
“This is the only offer that I can give you, Leila.” The masked man said seriously.
While Leila was just so focused on him.
She wanted to know.
Her heart was already filled with pain, grief, and rage. And it was all blinding her rational thoughts. She wanted to take revenge.
It was all that she could think of.
She wanted to revenge her father’s death.
“Just tell me what your offer is.” She uttered in between her gritting teeth.
The masked man let out a deep sigh as he walked back to his own throne. Leila waited impatiently.
“You see, this pack is created because of the Moon Howlers Pack. We are those poor people that they have taken advantage of. They are trying to show everyone that they are kind and trustworthy but they are apparently not.” His voice was dark and cold.
He rested his elbows on the armrest of his throne as he intertwined his fingers in front of his chest.
“Now, Leila… If you want to join us… If you want to take revenge for your father’s death… If you want power and connection to do that… You have to marry me.”
Leila stared at him.
For a moment, she thought that it was just so ridiculous.
But…
“For your father’s death… To avenge him… You have to do that… You have to so the people in this pack will help you… I am their master, and they won’t simply obey your orders if you won’t join forces with me. That is the rule of this pack.” He said seriously.
Then, he let out a deep sigh and leaned on his throne.
“Besides, they won’t allow you to kill the Blacks since everyone here wanted to share the same goal.” He uttered sardonically.
Leila pursed her lips tightly.
She wouldn’t allow that.
Because she will kill them.
She should be the one who will kill them.
“Marry me to avenge your father’s death. That is the only thing that I can offer you, Leila.” The masked man said with finality.
Leila gritted her teeth.
“Fine. I will marry you.” She agreed her voice laced with pure conviction. “In return, help me. I want to kill the one who killed my father.” She added firmly.
