Leila gritted her teeth as she tried to pull her arms away from the two men who seemed to be unreliable and quite dangerous. She could feel so unsafe with them. Well, she couldn’t blame herself for thinking that way. Based on the way they dress to the way they look at her.
“Stop wriggling or you will not want what I’ll do next…” The man with huge and bulky body said.
She just gave them a deadly glare.
Even if she wanted to say a thing, she couldn’t. Her lips were taped. It was because of talking too much a while ago.
Leila couldn’t stop getting annoyed because of what happened a while ago.
*** Flashback…
She was still thinking on how she could get out of the place when she heard something.
A clinking sound.
And before she could even think of what to do, the two men already saw her looking at them.
It wasn’t as if she could still hide or anything inside that stinky prison cell.
“Good thing that you’re awake, it won’t be too hard for us to wake you up anymore.” The huge and bulky man commented.
She tried to stand up even though her temples were still excruciatingly painful. She took a defense stance causing the two men groaned at her.
Well, she wouldn’t let them get her just like that.
It seemed like they were the ones who caught her.
This time, she wouldn’t let them have her without a fight.
Even though her head was already killing her.
“Damn! We should have cuffed you, huh? Stop doing that, we should take you to our master as soon as possible.” The smaller man with a gray beard and mustache said annoyance was visibly written in his tone of voice.
Her forehead creased.
‘Master?’ She commented inside her head but she instantly shook her head.
Her main goal right now was to make sure to get out of here and escape.
But it seemed like the two men already knew what she was trying to pull. So, they took the opportunity that she was still groggy and weak and tied her hands behind her.
“Damn it! Let me go! Let me go! Who are you?!” She shouted at them hysterically.
Those were the words that she kept on yelling.
“F*ck it! This woman is so noisy.” The bulky man said, irritated as he pulled something from his back pocket.
It was a tape.
He taped her lips without any warning.
She wriggled as she tried her best to pull her arms from their tight hold. However, it would be just too impossible.
“F*ck! I am going to punch you if you don’t stop!” The bulky man warned her.
For a moment, she felt so scared.
However, she just wouldn’t stop wriggling.
“Stop it, man. Master won’t want her to get hurt. We just have brought her in the room as soon as possible.” The smaller man stated seriously.
The bulky man let out a deep and patient sigh.
This time, she felt so hopeless… and scared.
‘Room? What are they planning to do to me?’ It was all that was running in her mind.
*** End of Flashback…
She snapped back to her own reverie when they stopped right in front of a huge wooden door.
Leila tried her best to pull herself away from them but the bulky man pulled her harshly. She groaned in frustration as she felt the stingy feeling from her skin. It seemed like she was bruised because of the way he treated her.
She even bumped into the door frame as the other man knocked on the door.
Leila gave the bulky man a deadly glare.
Her head was still excruciatingly painful and it wouldn’t just help her think rationally. And glaring at these men it wasn’t helping her at all.
She heard the wooden door creak making her move her eyes towards the door opening in front of them.
Her heart was undeniably beating so fast inside her chest.
She was just so nervous and it was because of the thoughts that whoever did this might kill her at any moment.
Silver was groaning inside her as if it wanted to take over her. She tried to but her head wasn’t helping her. It was like it was cracking slowly.
Leila clenched her hands into balled fists as the men holding her pushed her inside.
“Master…” The two men courteously greeted a very strange man in front of them.
She couldn’t see him fully because all she could see was his back. He was wearing a cape. However, she gasped in horror when he turned to them.
‘What the hell!’ She uttered inside her head.
Leila was so shocked as she saw a man wearing a mask. He was wearing a cape and even its hood. She couldn’t believe that there was something like this man so peculiar.
It was as if she had lost her tongue even when the two men who were holding her a while ago had finally bid their goodbye.
The creepy man simply waved his hand in the air dismissing them. While the other was holding the wine glass.
He then put it down in a small table just beside a golden throne.
Leila swallowed the lump in her throat as she tried to calm herself.
This time, she tried to calm herself.
But she couldn’t. Even Silver was yelling danger inside her mind.
“W-Who are you?”
It was all that she could say but she saw a glint of mockery reflecting his eyes, the only visible thing she could see.
“You don’t need to know, Leila Mercado.” His cold, low, and eerie voice said those words with emphasis making the hair at the back of her neck stand up.
“H-How did… How d-did you know my name?” She stammered as she tried to stay calm and strong, but she was totally failing.
She cursed inside her head.
But a loud bark of laughter resonated in the four corners of the room.
“You don’t have to know. Now, let’s get straight to business.” The man wearing a mask finally stated his voice was dripping with seriousness.
This time, she finally felt fear and despair eating her entire being.
‘Is this the end of me?’ She mentally thought as she tried to stop her hands from trembling behind her.
