“What do you mean by that?” The man wearing a mask, their master, inquired Viego as he was standing in front of him.
He was trying to explain his men’s report to their mater especially right now that he wanted them to find Leila and finally capture her.
Viego swallowed the lump in his throat before looking at their masted who seemed to be all ear for his news.
“We can’t find anything about what happened to Miss L-Leila, M-Master.” He replied nervously.
Their master groaned disappointedly.
“And the Moon Howlers Pack?” Their master inquired coldly as if he was waiting for good news for them and would instantly have his head if that happened.
Viego let out an inaudible sigh.
“We are sure that they also didn’t know where Miss Leila i-is, Master. It was as if she vanished into thin air all of a sudden.” He couldn’t stop but to comment.
But a loud crashing sound of a broken wine glass being thrown into the wall resonated inside the room, causing his second in command shake in fear.
His lips quivered and before he knew it their master growled loudly and held his neck tightly.
The second in command reacted late as he was already gasping for air, hoping for his dear life.
“Don’t give me that crap, Viego. That woman can’t vanish into thin air, just like that. Stop making excuses, or the next time you come here and give me that bull crap I will make sure that you will face a dipsh*t… You understand?!” Their master said furiously.
Viego even in his painful state couldn’t just nod his head to answer their master.
And as if on cue, he threw him to the wall, causing on of his rib to broke.
Viego bit his lower lip to stop himself from whimpering. Of course, he wouldn’t want to get their master more furious this time.
It was enough for him for today.
He had chosen the wrong words to utter and he had faced the consequence of his actions.
“Get out. I know that you won’t disappoint me the next time I ask you for some news.” Their master uttered dangerously causing him to simply nod his head in agreement.
“Y-Yes… M-Master…” Those were the only words that Viego could utter before he rushed towards the door.
He was just thankful that he only got a few broken bones and not his dear life.
For some reason he knew that he had to make sure for a great news, the very next time he visited their master.

Meanwhile, in the middle of nowhere where Leila was currently at, she let out a deep sigh as she opened her eyes for another day.
She didn’t know how long she had been there. She didn’t even know where she was. And she had lost her voice asking Tamika for questions that she wouldn’t just simply answer.
In the end, she would just get annoyed by her.
And so, she would just frustrate and decided not to talk to her instead.
Perhaps, it was because Tamika might have known that she couldn’t trust anyone anymore.
She didn’t know.
It seemed like that was the one strange about her.
Tamika.
She seemed to be so weird that it was as if she knew everything that was happening. And it was making her a bit more annoyed.
Leila let out a deep sigh as she was staring blankly at the ceiling.
And like the past few days as she started living with that peculiar woman who claimed to save her she had been trying to calm her thoughts.
Her deep wound was slowly healing. Her energy was also improving now. She could also talk to Silver and would instantly assure her that she was fine, too. She certainly just needed some rest.
She sluggishly got up from her bed that day she could feel the slight pain from her wound, but it was already bearable. So, she decided to go out of her room.
It wasn’t as if she wasn’t allowed to go out.
However, when she went towards the door her heart was pounding inside her chest.
What if the door was locked?
What if she was an enemy?
What if…
But her doubts faded away when she turned the knob, and the door opened.
Leila pursed her lips together as she let out a deep sigh of relief. But even though this was something that she should be grateful for, she couldn’t let herself trust anyone again that easily.
Not even to the person who have saved her.
For the first time in her life she had questioned everyone who was trying to help her. For the first time in her life she wouldn’t want to listen to her heart. And for the first time in her life she had learned not to trust simply.
She had been inside her room thinking about her situation.
Tamika would always bring her food anyway. So, she had never done anything but to stay inside her room and ponder the things that happened to her. Until she came up into this decision.
She would go out and asked Tamika.
If she would just tell her some nonsensical things she would certainly just find it out herself. She wouldn’t let her confine her to this absurd place. At least she wanted to know where she is right now.
It was just so weird that she went out of her room and saw everything made of wood. The furniture… everything… Even the pot where the small flowering shrubs planted were all made of wood. It was just so refreshing to see.
However, it was just so eerie to hear her footsteps as it creaked into the wooden floor.
Everything was mesmerizing.
It was as if everything came from the ancient times, but it was still in a very good condition like good as new. Maybe it was all preserved and well taken care of.
But Leila’s forehead creased as her mind drifted towards a certain place, when she heard a loud clinking sound of a certain thing as it hit the floor. Then, she immediately smelled the steel like odor to the air.
She instantly walked towards where it was coming from only to see Tamika, with her hands full of blood.
Her eyes widened in shock but what’s more peculiar was the fact that Tamika was just looking at it, like it was nothing.
There was no emotion written in her face.
It was void.
It was lifeless.
It was nothing.
And it made Leila dumbfounded as she raised her deep purple eyes and met hers.
