Chapter 90 Desperate Lucy

* * * * * Lucy’s POV * * * * *
I arrived at the address Simon had given me. There were two buildings on both sides of the street but one of them looked like it had been abandoned for months, the other was a moderate old building.
From the few windows, I could tell that it didn’t have much room in it. I looked up to the balcony on the first floor but there was no one there.
I wondered if I should sneak into the building or just knock and pretend to be a friend. If I climb through the balcony and sneak into the house, I might get caught and that wouldn’t be good for my plan.
But what if I knock at the door and they don’t agree to let me in?
After making considerations, I decided to use the door. I should try my luck and if her family is as foolish as her, then I’m sure I could easily fool them.
Once they let me in, I would have to find clues that I would use against Crystal. This mission is really important to me.
I mustered courage and walked to the front door, then I took a deep breath before knocking.
There was no response so I knocked again, but still no response.
Was there even anyone at home?
If there is no one at home then I would have to go with plan B. Breaking into their house, I cannot just go back empty-handed.
I knocked a few more times but when there was no reply, I decided to go around and break in through the back.
Just as I turned around to leave, I heard the sound of the door being opened and I turned back. At first I saw nobody, but that was until I looked down and I froze at what I saw.
This cannot be true, how did this happen?
The person who had opened the door was a kid, perhaps four to five years old.
The shocking thing about it was that he looked just like Logan. The same blonde hair, the same blue eyes. He was just a photocopy of Logan and that left me wondering “how?”
When did this happen and how come I never knew about it?
It was obvious to me that the child belonged to Logan and Crystal, they had a child together and Crystal kept it a secret. I am sure that not even Logan doesn’t know about this.
When Simon told me that Logan and Crystal knew each other years ago before he traveled to Asia, I didn’t believe him. I thought they had met recently after Logan hired her as his maid but this child proves that Simon was right.
Logan had cheated on me years ago and I never knew about it. Neither did he know about his son.
It looks like Crystal had been hatching her plan to come into Logan’s life from day one, she has been playing games with us for years now.
“Hello… How may I help you?” The little boy’s voice jolted me out of my thoughts.
I squatted down to his level and raised his chin while watching him with scrutinizing eyes.
“Hello, are… Are you Crystal’s son?” I asked amidst stutter, trying to keep my emotions in check.
The kid before me wanted to make me break down and cry.
“Yes, she is my mum. Are you my mommy’s friend?” He asked in one of the sweetest voices I had ever heard.
I sniffed in, fighting back my tears and faked a smile. “Yes, I am your mum’s friend,” I replied.
“Are you sure? Because my mummy said I shouldn’t talk to strangers,” he said with a stern voice and I chuckled.
He is such a sweet kid. I wished he was mine but he isn’t, rather he belongs to the other woman.
“Yes dear, I am your mum’s friend okay? She actually sent me to check on you. Is anyone at home?” I asked.
“No, my grandma and grandpa had gone to work, they said I shouldn’t let anyone in so you can’t come in.” He retorted.
“Oh! you are such a smart boy huh?” I giggled and pinched his cheeks.
“So what about your father? Where is he?” I asked, just to confirm my suspicions.
My mind already tells me that Logan is his father but let me see what the kids replies.
“Um… are you sure you are my mum’s friend?” He asked and wrinkled his little eyebrows.
It was obvious to me that he was suspecting me. What a smart kid!
“Yes, I already told you that I am, why don’t you believe me?” I queried.
“Well, if you were my mum’s friend then you would have known that I don’t have a Daddy!” He fired.
“Oh!” I muttered. So Crystal did not tell him about his father, what game exactly is she playing?
“Actually I already knew that, I just wanted to know if you are a smart kid.” I smiled in pretense.
“Of course I am, my mum says I’m the smartest kid in the world, my teacher says that too, she also said I am a prince so you should address me as one, just like Mum does.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle. He seems to have more brains than needed for his age.
“I see, so you are a prince huh? Well don’t worry, you’ll be addressed as royalty but that will be in your next life.” I muttered.
“What does that mean auntie?” He queried.
“Don’t worry, I will explain to you later.” I smiled
I could smell that he was a werewolf, which posed him as a threat. If he was a half-blood then I would not have been bothered about him, but he is a full-blood who is eligible to be made an Alpha.
That position can only belong to my son, no one else can take it.
“Okay boy, goodbye for now. I will go and inform your mum that you are fine, then I will come back again to check on you,” I said, forcing a smile.
“So my mum is really with you? She said she will be back this morning but she isn’t, why isn’t she back aunt?” He queried.
“Oh kid, your mum is not feeling too well so she won’t come back today, but you don’t need to worry about that. When I come back again, I will take you to her,” I replied.
“You are still not addressing me as a prince,” he grumbled and folded his hands with an angry face.
Argh!! This kid is quite irritating just like his mother.
“I am sorry, I meant to say that I will be back to take you to her, my prince.”
He smiled. “Good, now that’s much better, I will be waiting here.” He replied and before I could even stand up to leave, he walked in and shut the door on me.
I growled and stood up in anger, then I crossed over to the abandoned building on the opposite side of the street.
I sat on the pavement in thoughts. What was Crystal up to? What is her game plan?
Well, I don’t care what she is planning. In order to stop her from becoming Luna, I need to make her suffer, I need to break her down.
Logan would not mark someone who is mentally depressed, even if she is his destined mate and the way to achieve that is by killing her child.
If I kill her son, she would suffer a trauma that she might not survive from. At the same time, I would have succeeded in securing the position of Luna for myself.
But if I let Logan find out that he has a son, he would undoubtedly go ahead to mark Crystal because she is the mother of his first heir. The next Alpha of the new Dawn pack, so I can’t let that happen.
By killing her son, I would be achieving two things at the same time. The first is that Logan will not see a reason to Mark Crystal again, and the second is that she would suffer after his death. She will lose her mind and mental health, then it will be game over for her.
Logan would have no other choice than to mark me, even if he wants to be with her, he would know that the society will not accept a mentally unstable person as their Luna, so it won’t happen.
The only option left is me!
I smiled at the idea I had come up with. This was the last card I have to play in order to win this game, my finish move that will throw everyone off their feet.
I stood up immediately, ready to cross over and go to the house. I would knock on the door and the moment that kid comes out, I will strangle him to death and flee the scene.
To be continued!!
