BONNIE
Rogan wanted to be her Daddy, he demanded it. On one hand, she was super turned on by him taking control and telling her what was going to happen. She felt the pull between them. But on the other
hand, she didn’t know how to feel because her brother was Rogan’s enemy.
Part of her wanted this to work, but she knew it wasn’t going to. Ethan would never allow that to happen. If he even found out she was contemplating having a relationship with his enemy, with Rogan, he would lose his mind. He would lock her up in a room and never let her leave.
How was she going to get this to work? Rogan said he was going to take care of it, but was he? Or was he going to make everything worse for her? She didn’t think he could handle this situation delicately, especially when they were enemies.
This was absolutely stupid.
Why did Bonnie have to have feelings for her brother’s rival? Why couldn’t she have hated him, and he let her go? But no. She couldn’t have done it. There was a pull between them and she couldn’t deny it. Not when Rogan had already pointed it out.
“Hello,” Rogan said as he walked into the room.
Her eyes narrowed in on the man behind him. She’d never seen him before. Who was he and what was he doing?
She closed her eyes for a brief second. Rogan promised nothing bad was going to happen to her, but it was hard to trust. Something horrible had happened to her and then he hadn’t been nice after. It was going to take a while for her to get used to the idea of him protecting her.
“This is Raynar,” Rogan said. “He’s our cleaner for the family.”
Bonnie knew he wasn’t a maid. Rogan had said cleaner which she assumed meant Raynar cleaned up the blood. That was what Rogan said over the phone the other day. Or she thought it was the other day.
“Can I leave?” she asked.
“No,” Rogan said with a glower as he folded his arms over his chest.
“You’re mine now and you aren’t going anywhere.”
“You can’t keep me here.”
Bonnie had no clue why she was being so defiant now. Maybe it was because Raynar was here. She didn’t know much about him but he had a calming presence about him. Maybe she was comfortable talking back when he was there?
“Watch me,” Rogan snapped.
“Rogan,” Raynar said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Her eyebrows went up. The way Raynar touched Rogan, it was almost like they were a couple. It was tender and soft. Were they together?
“You can’t,” she said. “I’m a grown adult.”
“A grown adult who climbs into random people’s cars to run away from her brother,” Rogan replied. “My answers were no, and watch me. You aren’t going anywhere.”
Bonnie crossed her arms and shook her head. Wincing, she closed her eyes when the tears started to prickle. She’d completely forgotten she shouldn’t shake her head.
“Be careful,” Rogan said, his voice much softer than before.
“Please,” she begged. “Just let me go. It was a mistake coming here.” “No.”
Her mouth hung open as tears streamed down her face. Everything was starting to become very overwhelming again.
“Why not?” she asked. “You know who my brother is. You guys are enemies.”
“I don’t care who your brother is. I care about you. We have an attraction to each other. I know you can feel it. Your Little has peaked through a couple of times,” Rogan said. “I’m not going to let you go, now that I’ve finally found you.”
Raynar’s hand was still on Rogan’s shoulder. What did he think of all of this? He must have an opinion.
Bonnie laid her head back on the headboard and let out a breath. She brought her hand up and wiped away the tears. She could feel more coming on and she just wanted them to leave so she could cry in peace.
“It’s okay to cry,” Raynar offered gently. “Sometimes we need to cry to let our emotions out. Sometimes it grounds us.”
She slowly shook her head. She needed to stop crying because Rogan was in the room but also because it always hurt. Probably because of her concussion.
Her hands went up to her temple and started to rub. Maybe that would help until Angelo brought her more medicine, or until she could sleep again. “What about my brother?” she whispered.
“I’m not sure what do to about him yet,” Rogan replied. “But either way, it’s going to work out.”
“It may be bumpy, but it’ll work out in the end. Light at the end of the tunnel,” Raynar agreed. “Is your head hurting?”
Bonnie didn’t say anything. What if he was trying to get her to answer things and then use it against her? She didn’t know Raynar at all.
“It’s okay to answer,” Raynar said. “We aren’t going to use it against you.”
She wanted to snort, but didn’t think it was the wisest idea.
“Your brother is probably already looking for you. I’m going to find a secure way to talk to him. I’ll let him know I’m keeping you and no harm will come to you,” Rogan said.
“Good luck,” she whispered. He was going to need it. Her brother did not like Rogan at all and this was going to blow up.
“It’s going to work out,” Rogan replied. “Trust me.”
She didn’t know what to believe and trust right now. Everything was not going how she planned it to go. Yet, she hadn’t really planned anything out.
It had been a spur of the moment kind of thing.
“Are you ready to go to the other house now?” Rogan asked.
“I don’t really have much of a choice,” she mumbled.
“You’ll have more room to roam instead of being confined to my room.”
She looked around. This was his room? Where had he been sleeping?
Why did he put her in his room?
“I know you have a lot of questions, but right now let’s get you to the new house so you can be comfortable there,” Rogan said.
“Am I going to be alone?” she whispered.
Bonnie didn’t really like to be alone. Ethan had always made sure her favorite guard was with her whenever he knew he wouldn’t see her for a while. She didn’t have many friends, not anymore. Most of them stopped talking to her when they realized who her brother was.
It was sad, but it probably for the best. Bonnie didn’t want any friends who were going to be fake or spread rumors about her brother.
“There will be guards there, making sure you’re okay, but they won’t interact with you,” Rogan explained. “It’s just for a little while until I can
figure everything out and make sure you’ll be safe.” Bonnie carefully nodded her head.
“Let’s go,” Rogan said. “Say bye to Raynar.” “Bye,” she whispered.
“THIS IS THE HOUSE,” Rogan said. “Every door and window will be locked so no one can come in or out without the key. You’ll be safe here.”
Bonnie started to grumble under her breath. Sure. He probably just didn’t want her to run away from him. It seemed like a theme, lock her in every room so she can’t escape.
“It’s the truth and I don’t want to hear you grumble again,” Rogan said.
“Your brother is one of the people I’m keeping you safe from.”
“He wouldn’t hurt me,” she said. “He’s my brother.”
“Yes, but he would force you into an arranged marriage. If he found you, he would probably take you back and marry you off to whoever he wanted right then and there.”
Bonnie could feel the blood drain from her face and tears pool in her eyes.
“Oh, Little One. I didn’t mean to make you cry,” Rogan gently said as he brought her into a hug. “I was just telling you what might happen if he found you.”
“I didn’t think about that,” she whispered hoarsely. “I love being a Little and I want a Daddy. But if he finds me without me being able to talk to him first, he’ll just marry me off since I ran away.” “You do have a Daddy, maybe even two.”
She tilted her head and looked at him with wide eyes. Two? Where did that come from?
“Think about it. Raynar is a switch. He would be a Daddy to you and a Little to me,” Rogan gently offered. “We’re not going to force you into that, but just think about it.”
Bonnie buried her head in his chest and felt tears stream down her face. He was throwing way too much information at her right now. He’d been doing it all day and she was struggling to comprehend everything.
“You’re okay,” Daddy whispered. “Everything is going to be okay. I’m not going to let anything bad happen to you.”
She could hear the strain in his voice, no doubt because she was crying. But he was trying to be there for her. She had to give him props.
“Now, you think about what I said about Raynar,” Daddy said. “Can you cook?”
Bonnie pulled away and gave him a confused look. Why was he asking her that question? It was out of the blue.
“What?” she asked.
“Can you cook?” he asked again.
“Sure? A couple of meals, but nothing great.” Bonnie definitely wasn’t the best cook but she could manage to cook some things. Ethan mostly kept her out because she was super clumsy and always hurt herself.
She’d burnt herself several times, but she wasn’t going to tell Daddy. He didn’t ask so he didn’t need to know.
She was going to be fine. Nothing bad was going to happen to her. She just had to make sure she didn’t cook anything too involved, with too many steps.
“If you don’t want to cook, you just let me know. I’ll get someone to drop off food for you,” Daddy said. “You just have to let me know.”
“I’m okay,” she replied, so badly wanting to call him Daddy out loud. She just wasn’t ready, yet. Sure, she said it in her head, but it was different. She could pretend he was her Daddy but once she said it out loud, it was reality.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I am.”
“Yes, I am, Daddy.”
She looked down at her feet. Was she actually going to say it? It was like he knew she was internalizing it and not wanting it to become a reality.
“If that changes, you can call me,” he told her, apparently letting the ‘Daddy’ thing go for now.
Bonnie scrunched up her face. How was she going to call him when she didn’t have a phone?
“Is there a phone in here?” she asked, looking around.
They’d taken a brief tour of the place. There were at least four bedrooms, five or six bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, and apparently a game room. She hadn’t seen the game room, but he told her it was at the end of the hallway. Maybe once he left, she would go check it out.
“I’ve got a phone for you right here,” Daddy said. “It has Angelo, Raynar, and my numbers in it. If anything happens, you call one of us. Preferably me first or Raynar, but if you can’t get in contact with either one of us, then you call Angelo. Lucius is also in there, he’s my right-hand man.”
She nodded her head and winced a little.
Daddy grabbed her face with his hands. “Gotta help you stop doing that,” he mumbled. “Maybe I should put a neck brace on you so you can
barely move your head. Help you heal better.” “I don’t need it!” She raised her voice.
She didn’t want anything wrapped around her neck. Bonnie knew she would get claustrophobic. Then she would cry and make her head hurt more. It was a giant catch-22.
“Maybe I’ll think of something else,” Daddy said. “For the phone, you won’t be able to call or message anyone who isn’t already in there. If you do, I’ll get a notification.”
“O-okay,” she whispered.
Bonnie had thought about calling her brother, but it was clearly off the table. Rogan would be able to tell the phone number and no doubt know it was her brother. She didn’t know anyone else.
“I’ll be back later,” he whispered as he kissed her forehead. “Be a good girl.”
“Okay,” she replied.
She watched as he left. Sadness filled her. What was she going to do while he was gone?
