Rosalind only realized something was wrong when she got into the car.
How did Ulric know she had twisted her ankle?
She looked at Ulric in the driver’s seat, but before she could speak, he spoke first.
“About the car you saw this morning… I was sitting in that car at the time.”
“Oh…” Rosalind couldn’t ask anything more.
If she pursued this topic, she would inevitably have to explain why she didn’t let Ulric go to pay respects to her mother.
He didn’t ask further questions either. Although they both sat in the front, it felt like there was an invisible wall between them. Neither had the courage to break the silence.
When they got home, Ulric went straight to the master bedroom to take a shower.
Rosalind knew he couldn’t stand the smell of smoke on himself.
She went upstairs to check on the children. The chef they had hired had already prepared dinner for them, and the kids had finished eating and were now playing on their own.
When she returned to the bedroom, Rosalind found that Ulric hadn’t turned on the light.
She reached out to touch the switch but was immediately grabbed and lifted into the air, then pressed onto the bed.
“Ulric…”
“Don’t talk.”
His voice was still hoarse. His Adam’s apple moved up and down as he spoke. The smell of smoke was gone, replaced by his unique scent.
Rosalind instinctively tried to pull at his clothes, only to realize he wasn’t wearing any. She felt his cool skin from the shower instead.
Ulric moved with urgency, almost like an inexperienced young man.
Before she could adjust, he began moving forcefully!
Rosalind winced in pain but only bit her lip. She didn’t push him away or protest.
He took her with a frenzied desperation, his lips pressing against hers repeatedly…
She felt like a small boat adrift at sea, pushed by wave after wave, not knowing where she would end up or when it would end.
All she could do was try to relax and accommodate him to avoid more pain.
“Mm…”
Eventually, Rosalind realized he wasn’t seeking pleasure but desperately trying to prove something.
He wanted to prove that she was his and that only he could touch her and possess her in this way!
Rosalind reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist, silently consenting to his possession.
“Rosalind, you said you wouldn’t leave me.”
Ulric felt her touch and spoke in a hoarse voice.
But Rosalind just pressed her lips together, unwilling to respond.
“Say it. Say you won’t leave me. You never will!”
“Rosalind!”
She raised her arms and wrapped them around Ulric’s neck, her voice tender with emotion as she said, “Ulric, I will always be yours alone.”
Ulric’s body stiffened.
“In this lifetime, my heart can’t hold another man,” she added.
No matter how good Malcolm was or how much he moved her, he could never enter her heart.
It was already full, with no room left.
“Then say you won’t leave me.”
“Say it!” Ulric’s eyes reddened as he growled in her ear. “Say it, and I’ll believe you.”
Rosalind shook her head and pulled his body closer. “Ulric, I want you to take me harder.”
“I want all of you inside me. Please?”
He frowned. Sweat dripped from his forehead onto her body. “It will hurt.”
“But I want it. Please?”
