Damon’s POV:
I looked at Bevin, then at Mika, angrily.
“Start talking,” I ordered, seriously.
“Damon….”
“Hush, Sherry,” I warned, cutting her off.
“Well, Alpha, as you know, I have been very grateful for your kindness and…”
“Get to the point, damn it!” I growled loudly.
“My name is Xiao, not Bevin, and I lied about a few things,” he said in a cracked voice. He was scared and slightly trembling, as he should be.
“And what are those things?” I asked.
“Mika is my first mate, and that child is our own biological daughter. When my Alpha imprisoned my mate, I had to go against his command and rescue her. I left my pack, but that only angered him. He sent some warriors after us, and for a long time, they chased after us until we stumbled upon your pack,” he answered.
“You little lying piece of shit. You come clean now after all the chances our Alpha gave you!” Alec yelled.
“He told me the truth,” Sherry said, as I frowned in shock.
“He did?” I asked in a low tone.
“Yes, and I promised to keep my mouth shut until you found out on your own,” she answered.
I stood up from my seat, then took a deep breath. My wolf was angry at her actions, and I was doing my very best to keep him calm.
“Right, I understand. Do you guys perhaps have history together?” I asked, as she widened her eyes.
“Alpha, what are you saying right now? Did you not hear me when I said Mika was my one and only mate?” Bevin asked loudly.
“I did, but that doesn’t mean you guys wouldn’t have met before,” I answered simply.
“You know what, I’m going to pretend that I didn’t hear those words coming from your mouth,” she said, as I laughed softly.
“That’s very good because his Alpha has asked for permission to cross my pack, and I have granted it,” I said.
Mika quickly stood up from the couch with a pale expression on her face.
“You did what?” Sherry asked in a low tone.
“I have granted his Alpha permission to step into my territory,” I answered loudly.
Bevin quickly dropped to his knees with his hands pressed together.
“Alpha, I was wrong to keep you in the dark. Please have mercy. You can’t send us away to that pack, please,” he pleaded.
“That pack is your home, Xiao, and yes, I can send you away because this is my pack, and I am the Alpha,” I answered coldly.
“Now, I advise you to prepare yourselves. Alec, inform the warriors about the situation and have them prepare for our guests,” I ordered.
“Yes, Alpha,” he answered, then walked out of the room.
“Xiao and Mika, please give us some privacy,” Sherry said.
Mika quickly helped Bevin up, who looked at me sadly, then went out with her.
I watched as Sherry moved closer and stood in front of me.
“What?” I asked, then flinched in pain and bit my lower lip when a hard slap touched my cheek.
“You are insane, do you hear me, bastard! Just because I slept with a few men in Ian’s packs doesn’t mean I am the same person as I was before. I have no idea who Xiao is, and I have nothing to do with him. How could you think so lowly of me when I have absolutely given my entire being to you! You gave me no chance to explain myself over why I had kept my mouth shut, yet you had the audacity to think so disgustingly about me!” She screamed as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Fix this,” my wolf ordered.
I sadly touched her shoulder to pull her into my embrace, but she angrily pushed my arm away. I tried again and this time succeeded in pulling her into a hug.
“I’m so sorry,” I whispered softly.
“You are horrible,” she said in a cracked voice.
“I know, and I’m very sorry. When I saw you cover for him, I felt so jealous and at the same time angry with you for doing that. I knew you must not have known each other yet, but I still went on to say hurtful things to you. Please forgive me, Sherry. I had no right to hurt you in such a way,” I whispered softly.
I stood still, rubbing her back gently for a few minutes until she stopped sobbing and calmed down.
When she pulled back, she moved her hand to my cheek and rubbed it gently.
“I’m sorry too for slapping you,” she whispered.
“No, you had every right to because I was a jerk to you,” I answered, then smiled at her.
“I’m also sorry for lying to you. The one that called my cell phone was really an Alpha. He wanted entrance to my territory, but I gave him no response because I was very shocked when he told me how he was after his lead warrior, Xaio, and his vampire mate, Mika,” I said honestly.
“So they aren’t coming to the pack house?” she asked loudly.
“No, they aren’t, and I prefer it that way. My guess is that he is still at my territory’s entrance. If he is the stubborn type, then he will cross my territory and wait for me at the pack’s border. If he is dumb, he will come to the pack house and have himself killed,” I answered.
She sighed in relief, then grabbed my hand.
“Honey, will you honestly give them up? I know I have no right to say this or ask you not to, but won’t it be a loss to give them up?” she asked softly.
“Tell her we won’t. We can’t afford to make her upset, not after trying our best to make her happy,” my wolf responded.
“I won’t send them away or give them up because they are already a part of our pack. Actually, your other mate, my wolf, was the one that said it. He is more than willing to do all it takes to make you happy,” I said as she screamed happily, then hugged me as I laughed softly.
“I love you, I love both of you so much!” she exclaimed.
I pulled back and brushed my hand through her hair.
“And we love you too. Now, my Luna, if it’s not too much to ask, prepare yourself and tell those two to be prepared as well because you are all coming with me,” I said as her smile grew wider.
“I love you,” she whispered softly.
I leaned in and kissed her lips lightly, then pulled back.
“I know, now go before those bastards waiting for us become impatient,” I answered.
She nodded, then quickly rushed out of the office.
“She sure is beautiful,” I said in a daze.
“Agreed,” my wolf purred.
