Pollux PoV.
“Holy Moon Goddess! What was that?”
I got up from the bed and made a small run to the toilet. Washing my face with cold water, I let as much water run down my face as possible to achieve freshness. I leaned on the edge of the sink to stare straight into the mirror.
My eye bags were blackened like zombies and I wanted to poke them out because this looked bad for my appearance. I sighed roughly and picked up a small towel to wipe my face. When I noticed the clock on the wall, it turned out that I had only been asleep for an hour.
“Damn it!”
I kept thinking about Godiva, even though I was already lying back on the bed. What could distract me from her? I felt every beat of her heart, pounding. I felt every beat of her heart, pounding. She had turned my world upside down.
I knew that she had gone more gentle with me. We were already talking to each other without arguing. She also responds to any touch I give her.
Perhaps I should think of Godiva and fantasize about making love to her. I imagined my fingers tracing every inch of her skin. Moving from her stomach all the way down until I let out a thin sigh.
One hand was already clutching mine that was perfectly hard under the blanket. I chanted his name vividly with every breath I took. Moving my hand up and down, I imagined entering her.
“My sweet pea.”
I didn’t know how many times I said her name until I climaxed for solo play. I felt a little relieved as I wiped off the rest of my juices with a tissue. It could be concluded that Godiva was the solution to all my helplessness.
I woke up later that afternoon to the omega delivering an herbal drink to me. I mumbled long words in my hoarse voice as I reached for the cup of herbal drink.
[Cian gave you vitamins and Bice made the drink. Just relax and recover, Pol. I’m relying on you so much for human affairs because I want to focus on the Sanguine Shadows.]
[Yeah, I can guess that they must be up to something because when Virgil saw Godiva, she looked really bloodthirsty.]
[Speaking of Godiva-maybe I’ll visit her family-just by myself. I think I should start there.]
[That’s good. I can take care of Godiva while you’re gone. This drink and Godiva are my energy supply.]
[It’s up to you, as long as you don’t exhaust her. She’s just recovering.]
I ended my mind link with Castor. His way of speaking made me chuckle. I had promised him that I would not cross the line again.
I headed back to the bathroom to clean myself up. I made myself look dazzling to attract her attention. I had the choice to look as neat as possible or to take off my clothes altogether.
The second option suited me more efficiently and to the point. I tried to locate Godiva with my sense of smell. I checked her room, but she was not there.
After a few minutes, I found her in the backyard. I immediately pulled the clothes out of the closet and got rid of the image of myself innocently wrapped around her.
“Damn it! Be normal, Blaze!” I suppressed my inner wolf from coming out.
I ran all the way to the backyard and found her sitting on a park bench by the pond. I called out her name and she turned to me. I approached her with a smile at her calmer state.
“Yes, Alpha Pollux?”
“I missed you, I thought you were away since you weren’t in your room.” I sat down next to her.
“I have no reason to leave this place. I can’t just leave without your permission anyway, can I?” She looked at me with a tilted head.
“Why don’t you wear a jacket if you want to go out? There’s quite the breeze.”
I protested against her wearing only a thin T-shirt and shorts. She was looking at me in an unusual way and a deeply furrowed brow. I wondered what she was thinking at this moment.
“I want to enjoy the afternoon breeze leisurely. It’s been a while since I’ve been on the bike delivering pizza orders.”
“Is that something you regret about?”
Godiva shook her head lightly and continued, “My life changed after meeting you, Alpha. I think fate spoke to me in a strange way.”
“Do you like your life now?”
“I don’t know. Everything happened so fast without me being able to resist it. Now I want to ask you, would you just accept fate if you turned out to be an ordinary human?”
“That’s a difficult question. I would probably blame the Moon Goddess and question why she decided such a fate for me instead.”
We were silent for a while. She just stared at the fish swimming in the pond. I took her hand and tried to make her calmer.
I pulled her into my arms and rubbed her back. I felt happy to be able to do so. We continued in this position until I heard a soft snore from her mouth.
I decided to take her back inside the mansion. Arriving in my room, I laid Godiva down on my bed and pulled the blanket over her. Remembering our conversation earlier, I immediately called Beta Alvise with the mind link to come to our study.
I walked to the bookshelf and pulled out a thick brown-bound book. I stepped inside the door behind the shelf that was shifted for access to the study. Five minutes into my wait, Alvise arrived in a slightly disheveled outfit.
“Sorry to keep you waiting, Alpha Pollux.”
I smiled wryly at the reddish mark on his neck. Refocusing on what I wanted to tell Alvise, I showed Alvise the photo of the vampire I killed. I had intended to discuss this after the wedding.
Alvise looked at the photo from my phone and fingered his chin. I hoped he could find a loophole in the photo. He cleared his throat softly and handed the phone back to me.
“What do you think they’re looking for?” I asked Alvise.
“Something catches their attention and it can be used against us. I observed Virgil’s behavior at the wedding. He had an interest in Luna Godiva,” he said in a low voice.
“I hope Castor gets some answers after today. I am so worried about Luna Godiva, she is still in transition and that is a vulnerable time for a werewolf. Surprisingly she is not an ordinary werewolf.”
I massaged my temples. It felt like something was blocking the Moonstone pack from revealing the truth. Pollux and I could only guard Godiva from those bloodsuckers. We could not take any further action as Godiva was still vulnerable.
As a werewolf, I do have strong intuition. I thought it was an ability passed down by Mom who was a witch. Unfortunately, I did not delve much into witchcraft because I would rather tear a vampire apart directly than cast a spell on it.
Unlike Castor, who really has the totality of leadership seed as Alpha. He is good at reading situations and controlling emotions, despite the fact that he is a more brutal werewolf than me. True werewolf blood is more dominant in him than me.
“Alpha Pollux, are you listening to me?” Alvise asked in a louder voice than at the beginning.
“Sorry, what did you say?”
“Why don’t you ask your mother for guidance on Luna Godiva? I mean, your mother is a witch who should know about Luna’s oddities.”
