“What happened at the mall?” He asked gazing into her light hazel eyes. His face was stoic and portrayed no emotion.
“Jasira,” He called impatiently when she refused to answer. Jasira peeked at him before staring at the floor back. His question caught her off-guard that she was out of words. Everything that had happened at the mall came rushing to her but she quickly blocked them out. They were useless, very useless. She shouldn’t think about them.
The mystery box was nothing to her and before she could even tell him anything, she must find out who she was first.
She slowly raised her head and stared at him softly. She was disturbed and confused about whether to lie or tell the truth.
Her soft eyes lingered on his cold emotionless face and trembled at his cold gaze towards her. She swallowed her lump and rubbed her temple. “Nothing happened my lord,” She answered making her voice steady and unflinching.
Her heart skipped when Alejandro’s eyes glinted with something she didn’t know. The expression on his face didn’t change for a second but the hotness he was radiating was burning her alive.
Alejandro’s lip twitched slightly before he dismissed her with his hand. “Leave.” He repeated when she was still rooted to the floor.
“O… okay.” She stuttered and peeped at him once more before she lumbered out of his room. Her heart was palpitating loudly by the time she reached her room. Is it okay to lie to him? Of course, it’s not okay. She answered herself as she plumbed to the bench in front of her bed.
She rumbled her hand through her hair disturbed as she let out a frustrated groan. Why on earth did she lie? She shouldn’t have lied from the first time she received the box and now she was in deep big trouble.
“What should I do?” She asked no one in particular as she ran her hand through her hair aggressively. She stood up suddenly and stormed to her closet, snapped it open, and crouched down to get the boxes from where she hid them.
She stretched her hand into the deep part of the closet and swung it from right to left until it eventually hit the boxes. She brought them out and stared at the multi-colored mystery puzzle boxes. She brought them along with her to the bed.
She took a seat on the bed and dropped the two boxes in between her legs.
Looking at the boxes clearly, she realized debugging each would take her almost an hour if she could debug it. She wanted to take them back to the closet but she got so curious that she couldn’t.
What could have been inside each of them? She had a stalker because of this and now she was going to find what he wanted to tell her that he decided to pass through boxes.
Immediately she picked up the first box, her door threw open reflecting Alejandro whose facial expression was stoic.
“My lord,” She screamed jumping off the bed. Her heart pumped loudly in her chest, she noticed he was not looking at her and she slowly traced his gaze to find them on the boxes on the bed.
“Fuck.” She muttered under her breath. Realization dawned on her, she was caught. She trembled and suddenly felt cold all of a sudden, she wrapped her hand around her body losing the ability to speak.
She could hear her muffled breathing. Alejandro was gazing at her coldly. His eyes were merciless as he approached her in a heavy step.
She wanted to run but she felt rooted to the ground and could only listen to her pounding heart till he reached her front. His tall posture and wide stance overwhelmed her and her breath hitched. He lowered his gaze on her and she sent her gaze down.
“What are those?” He asked glancing at the boxes on the bed before returning his gaze to her.
“Nothing.” She replied quickly while batting her eyelid.
Alejandro scoffed and shook his head. “Really?” He took a dangerous step toward her and she moved back with another step, sweat trickled her forehead as she fixed her eyes on him while her heart beat loudly in her ribcage.
Alejandro closed the gap between them and grabbed her wrist harshly. She let out a loud yelp as she struggled to free herself from his hold but he held onto her tightly.
“Did you think I’m joking here?” He boomed and she yelped hysterically before she started shaking.
“You think I’m playing with you?” His voice was harsh and shook visibly in his hold.
Her teeth clashed as she closed her eyes tightly, she couldn’t bear to see the demon in her front. Alejandro had never been like this to her. He looked like a demon now with his blue eyes that had now flicked between black and midnight blue.
She winced when he grabbed her chin but refused to open her eyes. “Jasira,” Horror sipped out of his voice as he tightened his hold on her chin. She replied with a loud wince because he was digging his nails into her chin again.
“I swear I knew nothing about them, it was my stalker that used to give them to me and he recently gave one to me while I was at the mall. I didn’t mean to hide them from you, I was just scared.” She rasped fastly not breathing through each word. She snapped her eyes open and a low gasp left her mouth.
The man before him was not the man that’d called her baby girl, this was the devil that was feared by all.
“My lord,” She cried grabbing his hand on her chin but he smirked wider.
“I gave reason to trust you.” He said tightening his hold on her. “Make you feel special so you will be a good girl.” His icy voice cut deep into her soul and sent shivers to all parts of her body.
“But you were nothing but a liar.” He spat throwing her forcefully to the ground and a loud agonizing sound ripped from her mouth.
“I’m sorry.” Tears rolled down her cheeks with a snort rolling down her nose, her forehead was dampled with sweat.
“Don’t you have any words?” He snapped as he lunched slowly towards her and she crawled back with her butt.
“Haven’t you tired of doing something and apologizing for it.” She crawled backward with tears still rolling out of her eyes. She looked miserable with tears pouring out of her eyes, a snort rolling out of her most, and her hair scattered all over her face.
His gaze lingered around her and a loud scoff left his mouth, he had made her feel special yet she lied. Every time she did something wrong, talk to him as she what. He simply overlooked it, and looking back, he regretted why he did that. He should have put her in place from the beginning.
He watched as she cried mercilessly on the floor, her palms were sprayed on the floor with her knees scraping the ground. She stared at his shoe with her hair all over her face. He doubted she could see anything with how bad she had cried.
The door cracked up and he removed his gaze from her to the door, Maxwell walked in briskly and stood before him. He glanced at Jasira on the floor for a moment before he glanced back at Alejandro.
“Boss,” He greeted with a light bow which Alejandro answered with a curt nod.
“Take her back to the dark room, she refuses to learn.”
Jasira snapped her head up as she heard that, dark what? “My lord.” She cried crawling frantically towards him. Alejandro didn’t spare her a glance as he stormed out of her room, he might kill her with his bare hand if he lasted another minute in there.
She didn’t mind her hurting knees, with her blurry sight, she just wanted to reach Alejandro as she kept crawling. No, he can’t keep her in the dark room again. She was going to die this time around.
“Ahh!” She yelled out in pain as she was yanked up from the ground by her hair. The pain in her scalp transferred through her body as she was made to stand on her feet.
Despite the tears rolling down her cheeks, she was able to see Maxwell’s face, he was not going to spare her, just like a bulldog, he was going to follow his master.
“Follow me like a good girl you are.” He ordered pushing her forward. She staggered almost falling to the ground but Maxwell guarded her up with a grunt.
“Fuck Jasira, I didn’t have time for this.” He spit rolling his eyes before pushing her toward the door.
