Jasira sobbed silently as Maxwell pushed her towards the door, she had no energy in her to be stubborn.
She was already regretting why she didn’t tell Alejandro about the boxes, she remembered how Alejandro was changing for her. He had changed, he was not as aggressive to her as before but she spoiled everything with her lies.
He even gave her a chance to tell him the truth yet she still lied, something broke in her, something familiar she knew too well, her heart. It was shattering into pieces, each piece digging into her body like sharp daggers.
“Argh!” A loud painful wince suddenly left her mouth as her hands were snatched behind her and her wrist was bonded by a tight cable. Her shoulders were bent and it hurt so much adjusting to the wrong position they were bent to, she couldn’t believe that she was back to this stupid position. Why must she put herself in this position every time?
“Now, move.” The Maxwell snapped pushing her in.
Jasira didn’t argue, she didn’t even have the strength to argue or act stubborn so she just walked wobbly out of the door. She halted on her step and took a short glance at the closed door beside hers. What could be happening in there? Is he broken or angry behind that door? She thought sadly before moving quickly before Maxwell could yell and push her again.
She snapped her head up when she noticed another movement other than theirs. Her eyes met up with Lilly’s, she stared at her shockingly at her with many unspoken words. She blinked stunned too shocked to say anything.
Jasira tore away her gaze from her as she walked past her, she could feel the heat radiating from her body as she passed beside her.
Her eyes sting once again, tears welled up in them and she blinked them back. She had had enough crying today, she was not going to cry anymore. Her heart burns remembering the look on her face, the unspoken words in her mind.
She was disappointed in her, she had been given that look all her life for her not to recognize it when she saw one. How did know what was happening here? Did Alejandro call her? No, he can’t. She answered herself but then she knew nothing about them.
She slid into the elevator beside Maxwell, her mind wandering off as she rested on the wall closing her stinging eyes. That dark bungalow would be her new abode from now on, goosebumps peppered her skin at the thought, the cold room and blood-scented room that she thought she was free from and yet with her lies, she caused herself another big problem. How was she going to get out here now? That look on Alejandro was nothing but hatred for her. He was never going to release her.
The chime of the elevator and the drag of her arm pulled her out of her thoughts. She stumbled a bit from the rough push Maxwell did to her. She took a short glance at him and he scowled at her. Sadness overwhelmed her more than before as she walked barefoot after Maxwell.
The early evening sun cascaded upon her, rendering her eyes blurry for a second before she adjusted to nature. Her eyes roamed around looking for a way out but she didn’t even make it toward the gate before she was caught. She had no idea how many guards were on stand by the gate or the ones roaming around the manor, she had seen at least five guards just by walking a few miles now.
Tears welled in the bottomless dark pools of her eyes, The aching sorrow soured her like an old wound as she sighted the dark bungalow from aside.
The building looked like nothing happening inside it, a white-colored big bungalow with heavy doors guarding it. The only thing about it was that it had fewer windows than a normal house.
The door swung open with a loud bang from Maxwell, he dragged her in not leaving any time for her to dwell in her presence, he walked briskly through the dark hallway that only had a single white bulb illuminating it.
He stopped at the front of the front door, swung it open quickly, and shoved Jasira in.
“I thought you had a sense, that you are smart with how beautiful you are but beauty doesn’t define the brain. You are nothing but a fool who was blinded by lies. He was doing well for you. I hope you rot here.” He spites disgustingly before he slams the door closed. The sound radiated against the wall.
Jasira stood by the threshold staring into the pitch-dark room, she couldn’t make out a single thing in the room from how dark it was. Bile rose to her throat as she slid down against the door gently. She was trapped with no hope.
