Jasira cuddled on the cold floor shivering, her growling satomach reminding her that she had not had anything to eat since she was thrown here.
Even with all the crisis she was in, she was not ready to meet the devil, yesterday he was like a tickling bomb and she was not ready to meet him like that. He was never going to forgive her for this, she made him lose his trust in her, and she could see how hurt he was. Is he going to kill her? The thought made her shiver against the cold floor.
She drawled her knees to her chest while lying on the cold floor, a single tear left her eye as her mind wandered about all that had happened to her. She seemed to be going from one nemesis to another.
She was only scared that was why she lied to him, she was shocked at the new changes in her life she suddenly became the devil’s girl then she had a stalker who was messing with her.
Months ago, she was nobody and now, she had become everything worse.
She was still shivering on the floor with her hand wrapped around her stomach while she was drowned with hunger. At this rate, she was going to die of hunger first before anything. The door suddenly cracked open making Jasira fly up from the floor, the chain binding her pulled her back to the ground with full force and she groaned. Her groan came out slowly and painfully.
She winced as she adjusted her bruised knees on the floor but she didn’t have the stamina to kneel again so she just sat on the floor.
The heavy footsteps approached her more quickly than before, the steps echoed in her head making her heart race as she awaited what was going to happen, she couldn’t bear any more pain.
The intruder finally stood in her front but the courage to lift her head and glance at the person was not in her. Her heart raced in her chest as she stared tearfully at the ground.
The strange cologne filled her nose and that at least made felt a bit better knowing it was not Alejandro, she couldn’t face him now because she had nothing to prove her innocence.
“Hey.” The voice barked at her and she shivered, she managed to take a peek but the room was too dark and she couldn’t make a single feature of the standing figure.
She dropped her head back pitying herself for what was coming next. The intruder grabbed her hair and pulled her up.
“Easy.” Her voice broke as she pleaded to be treated with mercy, an angry scoff retaliated from his intruder before he tightened his grip making her yelp out painfully.
“Shut up, bitch.” The man cursed angrily at the ear-deafening voice that rolled out of her mouth.
Tears rolled out of her eyes with the way he was cursing, things he dared not do to her if she was not captured. She hated the life she was living now, she struggled to balance on her feet so the grip on her hair could be loosened but her jelly-like-fish body betrayed her and she almost fell to her butt if not for the harsh grip on her hair.
She was dragged like a useless sack to a red-illuminated room. Her heart thudded loudly in her chest with goosebumps covering her body as she realized that what she feared most would be happening right now.
She was made to kneel with her hands bound together behind her back, her shoulder cracked under the full force it was turn and her wrist throbbed from the brutal tightening.
“Kneel here like a good girl or we are gonna have a serious problem.” The guard issued his warning grinning like a psychopath like her position eluded joy in him.
Jasira took a small glance at him and fear rushed down her spine, why was he grinning like that? She knew that grin, she had seen it on the faces of drunk bastards who would do anything to take advantage of her.
She threw her gaze down unable to see that grin anymore, she developed an upset stomach every second he stayed there with nausea rising to her throat and when he finally moved towards the door. A sense of relief washed through her making her breath come out even.
She knew Alejandro was going to come in anytime from now, just like she thought. The door opened and a dark figure stalked gracefully into the room, her sense of smell was quick to pick up the spicy cigarettes-like scent and the coldness that followed him everywhere.
The steps echoed in her head, the heavy step and another light step that accompanied those heavy steps.
He was not alone! Is he here with someone who would clean up the mess when he killed her?
“Are you ready to talk now?” The chilled voice sent terror down her spine. Yes, she should said anything she knew about the mystery man.
“I swear I know nothing about him, it all started back at the club and I told you about that, then when I visited my mother and when I went shopping. I knew I shouldn’t have lied to you but he didn’t used to say anything important when we met.” It was until she blabbled all that she knew that she was talking fast having no time to breathe, she took in a deep breath that had the whiff of his scent reminding her that she was kneeling before him.
She raised her head, her hair covering all her face making her vision blurry but she wasn’t blind enough to realize that all that she blabbed earlier didn’t move him a bit.
His expression was as stoic as ever then he made eye contact with Maxwell before dismissing him with a wave and returning his cold gaze to her.
“Now where are we?”
