She ambled out of the room clutching the two boxes in her hand, sweat trickled down her back as she stood before his door, her lips suddenly quivered and her heart palpitated loudly in her ribcage. She badly wanted to turn back and ran away but giving him these cufflinks would save her.
Her knock on the door was very light and she wondered if he would hear her but when his deep voice came up from the room. A part of her was relieved she didn’t have to knock again and another part was crumbling into pieces.
She exhaled sharply before she grabbed the doorknob, her hand shook slightly before she finally turned it down and waddled in.
She closed her eyes briefly exhaling sharply before she walked wobbly through the large room. Her heart skipped a bit when she saw him shirtless sitting before his laptop.
Her throat dried up as she drooled over him, eating him up with her eyes. She walked slowly towards him so she could capture every detail of his body.
His broad shoulder bucked up and flattened as he typed on the laptop, her eyes trailed down the hallow of his back to the barely showing bum and to the place she loved most. His tattooed torso and forearm.
Alejandro glanced at her and she quickly threw her head down, biting her lips and she clutched her sweaty palm behind her. He snickered and let his eyes devour her.
Her autumn hair cascaded down her shoulder and spread on her face at the position of her face. He watched as she bit on her lips like a shy innocent girl. She was half innocent as her look prostrate.
“Being a shy girl.” He teased and she tensed up, she swiped the hair off her face before she slowly glanced up at him.
She was out of words when her gaze met his, she swallowed her lump as she stared at him, his face, his beautiful face. His beautiful eyes that she was obsessed with.
She shook her head quickly remembering why she was here. She inhaled and exhaled.
“I bought you these.” Her voice trembled as she extended her hands towards him. He glanced at the two red boxes before sparing her glance.
She studied his facial expression and was very annoyed when it didn’t postrate anything. How could his expression be emotionless? How could he hide them so well? Damn him for that.
“What are those?” He asked still fixing his gaze on the laptop.
“Cuf… cufflinks.” She shuttered still extending her hands.
“I bought them from the mall yesterday, I promise they were not cheap, and the designs are unique, I know you wore custom-made things but I really hope you can wear this.” She ranted rapidly without knowing and when she glanced up to look at him, she was dumbfounded at the look on his face.
He was astonished. His face lit up brightly and her lips went ajar as she gaped unbelievably at him. Is she blind? Is that a smile on his face? It was small but it was visible.
She pointed her finger up and it shook and trembled as she pointed it at him. “You… you are smiling.” She beamed and his face became stoic immediately.
Her smile widened as she rushed to his front, she gazed at him astonished as she pointed at him unbelievably. “Hey, I saw you. You were smiling, you were really smiling.”
He shook his head before he flicked her forehead and she went stiffed at that.
“What made you think so?” He chuckled before he turned to his laptop and Jasira went to his front and bent to stare into his eyes. He glanced up only to see a pouting lady staring at him with doll eyes.
“Cause I saw you, just accept it.” She whined pouting looking innocently cute.
Alejandro shook his head and said nothing, even though he was amazed by her, she could never get what she wanted from him. “Open those.” He said instead nodding towards the cufflinks.
Jasira pouted at him sadly and gazed at him shortly, why on earth did she think he was going to accept that he was amazed by her? She shrugged her shoulder because she was not going to let that make her sad.
Her palm became sweaty with her heart beating rapidly in her chest as she slowly opened the first box and then the second. She stretched them at his face glancing at the floor.
She couldn’t make herself see the reaction on his face, she was scared he was going to reject it so she chewed her lower lips. He was saying nothing and she didn’t dare to watch the expression on his face.
“Your eyes are still working.” His deep cold voice came up and she deliberately glanced to look at him.
“Huh?” She asked confused as she blinked innocently. Alejandro said nothing and only smirked.
The confusion on her face slowly dissolved into a shocked expression and a loud gasp left her mouth.
“Huh? Did you just compliment me?” She grinned widely which made Alejandro glance up from the cufflinks.
He scoffed at her before he closed the boxes and laced them on the desk. Jasira rolled her eyes and hissed lightly at him. “Joy killer.” She muttered under her breath.
“It can turn into Jasira killer if you keep talking.” A loud freaking gasp escaped from her mouth as she stared astonishedly at him.
She swallowed the lump in her throat and stepped away from him. “I… I was only joking.”
He smirked before he added; “Same as well.” Those words were the words that should eased her but when it came out from the devil. It meant the opposite entirely. She nodded moving a bit back also. At least he complimented her before he withdrew back to his old self.
The eerie silence was what filled the room after that. She could hear every ounce of her wild heart. She twisted her fingers behind her back. She adjusted her posture by resting her left leg on the left pulling weight off it.
She really wanted to leave here, especially with a pair of blue orbs gazing at her. For once, his eyes held another emotion like he wanted to trust her but couldn’t.
She peeked at him once again and a low sigh left her mouth. Did she do something brutal again?
“Jasira,” His cold baritone voice through her ear and she snapped her head up. His face was as stoic as a mountain. Not melting nor moving away from her.
She bit her inner cheeks before she replied with a low voice. She could barely hear herself. “Yes.” She paused swallowing another lump in her throat before she added “My lord.”
“What happened at the mall?”
