Book:The Alpha's Hot Chase After Divorce Published:2025-3-2

Collins’ POV.
“Are you okay, boss?” Ace asked as he looked at me.
“Sure. I am okay, Ace.” I muttered with a visible grin on my face.
“Guess someone will be paying us a visit today.” I shrugged as I looked at Ace.
I stepped down from my motorcycle as I walked back inside the house. “Dahlia, my sweetheart.” I said as I held her right arm. “Why don’t you go shower and get dressed?” I mumbled as I wore a broad smile.
“What is wrong?” She furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at my eyes like she was trying to dig out the answer to her question.
“Nothing.” I answered briefly as I looked at her.
“But I am trying to prepare breakfast.” She sneered as she looked at me.
“I know, Dahlia. Don’t you want to pay Owen a visit?” I shrugged as I smiled one sidedly as I looked at her.
Ace remained there, lost completely as he couldn’t figure out what I was trying to do.
She stopped everything she was doing as she looked at me. “Owen? What are you trying to do here?” She chuckled as she looked at me. “Is this one of your jokes again, brother? If it is, then please, count me out!!” She snapped as she turned back to what she was doing.
“We just need to get you to a safe place and also, your kids. Someone important will be paying you a visit and I don’t think you want to let any harm come near your kids. At least you owe them that for always being the reason behind your smiles.” I said in a whisper as I looked at her.
She said nothing next as she dropped everything as she walked away back to her room.
“Ace. So, I want you to do one thing for me. Here!!” I handed over my briefcase I had left on the kitchen table.
“You have one task. You will take her to the cottage in the bayou which is close to the New Kingston highschool and I want you to have the best security. And secondly, get her a beautiful, red outfit. Get a good makeup artist and hairdresser as well. Whoever is going to pay a visit knows about us and if it happens to be any of the founding families, I guess we will have to change the cards tomorrow.” I said with a smile as I looked at Ace.
He nodded his head as he took the briefcase from me. I looked at him one more time before turning away to leave.
I paused at the entrance of the door. “Don’t forget, use the yellow car. That’s going to be a good way of taking her away from here.” I muttered before walking away.
I had left a written note inside the briefcase for Ace.
I knew who was paying a visit but why? Why was Jayson Holmes so interested in finding out who I am?” I growled angrily as I drove off.
Jayson’s POV.
I couldn’t go the previous day to Moscow anymore, but throughout that night, I had Mason digging deep into the address.
It was difficult staying connected but then, by 4:00 a. m the next morning, my phone rang. It was Mason, he had just confirmed the address to be that of Collins Morgan.
“Guess you are an easy catch after all.” I chuckled softly as I got my things ready.
“Good morning, Jayson. Leaving already?” Alphonso bumped into me as I was about to leave.
“Umm, yeah. I decided to stay back yesterday. It’s very important and if I don’t go now, I guess I might not get the chance to get this done again.” I responded with a broad smile as I looked right into his eyes.
“Who exactly are you so interested in meeting up with? At least, I could send one of my pack warriors to go with you.” Alphonso muttered as he looked at me.
“Going out there alone isn’t safe at all, trust me, Jayson. A lot has changed.” He said with a smile as he looked at me.
“You don’t have to worry about me, Alphonso. I am no longer that young boy you once knew.” I said as I chuckled. “I will be back to join you guys for the banquet.” I muttered.
“Okay then, if you say so.” He finally agreed without arguing further as he looked at me. He forced out a smile as he looked at me. “We will be expecting you tonight. And, sorry about last night, Logan is still a little boy. Being a werewolf comes with heightened emotions, guess you still know that?” He chuckled softly as he looked right into my eyes.
“Sure, I still do.” I responded with a broad smile too before walking out.
I entered my car as I drove away immediately. My phone had beeped twice as I parked my car as I saw it was a message from Mason.
“They are currently moving her to the old cottage which is located close to New Kingston highschool. Guess they spotted us already. But luckily, I was able to break through their server, so every discussion would be recorded.”
I read through every line as I reversed my car as I drove down to the cottage.
I parked my car at the front of New Kingston highschool, then I used my legs to walk down to the old cottage which was down, close to the brook in the woods.
I finally got to the cottage as I pushed the door open slowly. “Opened?” I said in a whisper as I turned on my phone torchlight as I flashed inside the cottage.
“No!! No!!” I shook my head as I realized they had tricked me into coming here.
I quickly called Mason as I turned around to leave.
“Hello?” I met with those piercing hazel eyes again and his freshly woody and musky scent soon covered the place.
“Nice meeting you again, Jayson Holmes.” He said with a broad grin on his face as he looked at me as my heart raced wild.
