New Kingston. The Eleven.
Elena’s POV.
I was walking down the lobby as I bumped into someone. His scent was masculine, making me wonder who he was.
I immediately lowered down, squatting down as I gathered my files that were now scattered on the floor.
“Oh! I… I’m sorry.” I heard his husky voice echo in my ear as I was gathering the files.
He assisted me with some of the files as he remained quiet for a while. “Hope I didn’t make you a minute late?” He chuckled softly as he raised his head up.
I met with his beautiful hazel eyes, which made me smile. “Not at all. Not at all.” I said as I tried to calm down my nerves.
I looked at his eyes again, wondering how a guy would have hazel eyes. But then, he still managed to stand out with those beautiful hazel eyes, and his long lashes made him uniquely different.
Not like they were too long but then, he had something extra when it comes to a guy having lashes.
“Oh! Umm.” He smiled as he looked at me, squinting his eyes a bit. “Guess you are wondering why a guy would have hazel eyes. I guess I remain the weird one, isn’t it?” He chuckled softly, making me giggle.
“Well, not that. It suits you anyways! And… you aren’t weird, trust me.” I responded as I smirked.
“Thank you.” He briefly said with a broad smile again. “I… I am new here. The new supervisor to work at the beach. Guess I finally had good luck.” He shrugged as he handed over the other files he had picked up.
“Oh!” I mumbled as I looked at his corporate outfit. He was way better than the previous supervisor, Gusto.
He wore a neatly ironed white shirt which was tucked in, inside his well ironed black trouser and then, a waist long black coat that complimented his dress.
And his long black coat that stopped beneath his knees. His pinstripe black, yellow and white tie made him more attractive.
“Do you know the previous supervisor?” He asked.
“Umm… yeah.” I chuckled softly. “He was one pin in the ass.” I rolled my eyes as we got back to our feet.
I turned to leave as I was trying not to be a minute late.
“Collins.” I heard his husky voice again, making me turn around as I looked at him.
“My name is Collins Morgan.” He said with a smile as he looked at me. “We almost forgot the most important part of meeting each other.” He chuckled as he stretched out his right hand.
He still had his warm and dazzling smiles on as he looked right into my eyes.
“Elena Toussaint. You can just call me by my first name, Elena.” I replied as his smile broadened as our eyes met each other.
“You’ve got a beautiful name.” He muttered.
I still couldn’t stop staring at his hazel eyes and long eyelashes. And when he tilted his lips, damn, I felt my heart throbbing.
He should be the next sexiest male worker here but then, I was still lost in the vague emptiness his presence came with.
“So… I guess we will see each other often since we work here together. I totally forgot, what department do you work in? I keep skipping the important questions.” He said with a smile.
I chuckled softly, because it was pretty embarrassing saying what department I actually worked in.
“Okay. Trust me, this might sound crazy but, I am the personal assistant or you can call me secretary to Rex King.” I tilted my lips as I squinted my eyes a bit.
“What? Damn!! You can’t be serious.” He yelped.
I could see the sudden shock on his face. And that was why I felt a bit embarrassed when he had asked.
“Yeah…” I smirked as I looked at him. “I knew you were going to act up when I said it. Am I too small for the position?” I asked in a stylish manner as I looked at him.
“No, not at all.” He responded. “I couldn’t believe you would be the secretary to the boss, King. I’ve heard fascinating stories about him and his beta, Clark. Didn’t occur to me that he would have a female secretary.” He said in a husky tone.
“Oh, That!!” I smirked. “Talking about Clark, he works in the finance department as the head of department.” I snapped with a broad smile.
“Oh! I see. Guess my first day at work will be a day to remember. And…” He leaned on the pillar next to us as he looked at my eyes. “You’ve got beautiful eyes too and I rarely see ladies with white flowing hairs.” He grinned as he looked at me. “Definitely going to have a beautiful day as effortlessly as your beauty is.” He complimented me.
I couldn’t help but blush as I giggled. “Thank you, Collins.” I responded with a broad smile as I looked at him.
“Is he trying to flirt with me?” I sneered as I looked right into his eyes.
This was the first time I was indulging in a lengthy discussion with someone, since I stepped into New Kingston five years ago and yet, despite knowing I had to set my boundaries, I couldn’t just say goodbye too.
“Oh! There the boss comes.” He chuckled as he looked towards the entrance door. “And I guess that is Clark, his beta. Damn, they look awesome together. I Wish he was my Alpha.” He chuckled softly.
I felt my heart skip before dropping with a heavy thud.
“Why now?” I groaned as I turned back slowly. “Okay then, I guess I have to hurry up to my office before he gets there.” I mumbled as I looked at him.
And even before he could say another word to me, I was already racing towards the elevator as I rushed down to the office he had allocated to me.
