Chapter 61

Book:The Alpha's Hot Chase After Divorce Published:2025-2-25

Logan’s POV.
“So, Logan? What are your plans? You wanna mate with her?” Owen said over the loud music that was now playing.
“It’s your boy, Sky City Boy.” He said with his microphone in a loud tone, placing so much emphasis on the City Boy.
The people jeered, as they jumped up in so much excitement. I watched how their hands were up in the air as they were dancing to the music that was playing and screaming too.
“Come off it, Owen. We are just friends and nothing more.” I said in a whisper, as I looked at Owen.
“Will you ever admit to it?” He chuckled softly as he looked at Logan.
“You are definitely going to disbelieve this. You know father won’t let me have a mate for now.” I groaned as I looked at Owen.
I looked at Alicia who seemed lost in the party. It was obvious that this was her first time stepping her legs in the club.
“Hey, handsome? Are you guys doing well?” Flora snapped as she stopped at the front of our table in the VIP section. “I can say you all are having a pretty good time.” She winked at me and I blew a kiss to her as he smiled.
“We’re good!” “Yes, honey, yes!” I responded as she kept smiling at me.
“Okay, darling.” She winked again as she bit her lower lip.
I tapped Jack who was busy staring at her ass as she walked away. “Male prost.” I abbreviated as I grinned.
He could see the mockery all over my face, making him smile as he looked at me.
“Can’t I at least honor God’s creation?” He scoffed as he shifted his head backwards to look at Flora again.
“But damn it, man. I will definitely go after her tonight.” He said as he got up from where he sat, then he walked down to where she was standing, directly opposite the counter.
“Hello, pretty Flora? How are you doing?” I overheard him.
I know eavesdropping ain’t my thing but then, I just couldn’t hold down my curiosity to laugh at him for getting ditched by Flora.
“Hey, uhmm…”
“Jack. Jack Willows.” He shrugged as he looked at her. “I… I.”
“Sorry!!” She chuckled softly. “I tend to forget names. You know I meet different people every day and I tend not to remember.” She apologized as she looked at him.
This time around, I had changed my position on the chair, as I was now staring at the both of them.
I couldn’t hold back myself from laughing as I looked at them. “Umm, it’s totally fine. You know, wanted to ask if maybe you could join me for a drink. If you don’t mind.” He proposed calmly as he looked at her.
“Ohh! I’m sorry about that. I would have loved to join you for a drink, but my manager can really be a pain in the ass. Trust me.” She chuckled softly as the other bartender filled up her tray of drinks again, to take to the next table that ordered for wine.
“Oh!”
“Maybe, some other time.” She quickly responded, interrupting him as she carried up the tray, then she walked back inside the crowded area of the bar.
“Damn! Was that you getting turned down?” I chuckled loudly as he returned back to the VIP section we occupied.
“Are you cool?” I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at Alicia who remained quiet, and she was still on the first soda I ordered for her.
I felt my heart flutter as our body made contact.
“Yes… yes, I am.” She stuttered as she forced out a smile, then she looked at me.
And when my eyes met with hers, I wished I could make her mine already.
“Tomorrow, we will be going to the Bureau. Trust me, with time, you will get comfortable around and also familiar with the environment.” I shrugged as I looked at her.
She forced out a smile as she looked away, then she continued drinking her chilled soda. “Definitely… I… I will be.” She stuttered.
***Alicia’s POV***
The long night finally came to an end as he drove me back home. I walked inside, and the first face that welcomed me was my aunt’s angry face like the red faced, angry bird character.
“And where are you coming from, by this time of the night?” She scowled as she glared at me. “I see you are now becoming more like your mother?” She cursed as she looked at me.
“You don’t dare talk about my mother that way ever again.” I cursed as I looked at her. “You know what? I’m done here.” I snapped angrily. I walked away and I got my stuff, then went downstairs.
“Oh! I see you’ve gotten a perfect excuse to elope and go stay with that scumbag you call a boyfriend, and when you get pregnant, make sure you don’t come back here seeking shelter.” She cursed as I ignored her.
I boarded a taxi to Amelia’s new, small apartment.
“Hey, Alicia? Are you okay?” She furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at me. “Wasn’t expecting to see you here this early?” She mumbled as she looked at me.
“I know. But… I am tired of coping with her.” I groaned.
“Your aunt?” She questioned and I nodded.
She quickly pulled me in as she embraced me warmly.
She was living in a one bedroom apartment. She smiled at me, as she assisted me inside her room.
“So, how is work? How is it going?” She asked as she looked at me.
I groaned as I raised my eyebrows. “Trust me, it isn’t going well. I just discovered that the Bohen’s Bureau was also in charge of the BOECH group of companies and not just that, they still have another company we don’t know about.” I mumbled as I looked at her.
And I smiled as I saw the shock on her face.
“What? Wait? BOECH group of companies? And there is another company again? F*ck!!” She cursed as she looked at me.
