Logan’s POV.
I returned back to my room after my brief discussion with my father. All I could think about now after graduating from high school was to chase a degree in New Kingston College, a college which was built by the six believed founding families of New Kingston.
They held the whole history, both the good and the bad and the various factions of werewolves, mystiques, witches, the corrupt politicians that were in charge of the human faction and also, we had the powerful and most unique shapeshifters that consisted of hybrids and normal shapeshifters.
“Heyy, Alicia?” I called out to her the moment she stepped into my room with my breakfast.
She raised her eyebrows and I loved how they battled each other. I still couldn’t clear my head from the prom night incident.
“How could I have messed up so badly, as to address her as my mate?” I groaned as she stared at me.
“I will be going to the newest club in the city. It is owned by my childhood family friend.” I muttered.
“Club? Hehehe.” She chuckled softly. “Clubbing isn’t my thing.” She braced up immediately, turning down my invitation, making me groan as I looked sternly at her.
“You are my personal assistant and I insist!!” I persisted and I watched how she was now left without an option than to tag along.
I wanted her close to me. As close as I would want the lady I get to choose as my beloved mate.
Othello had driven us down to the club. Did I fail to mention that I have a whole community of friends and fans out there, people who wanted to be among my league?
I stretched my arm, urging her to place her arm in, and I saw the discomfort that came with it as she tilted her lips.
We both walked down majestically inside the hall, and the first person I met was Flora. Talking about Flora, she was my favorite bartender, and I felt really good seeing her again in the newest club in the city.
“Who wouldn’t want to have someone like Flora in their club? She was not just high-spirited but entertaining. And I meant super entertaining.”
“Hey Flora? What’s up? Wasn’t expecting to see you here? Guess you really love club life.” I shrugged, wearing a broad smile.
“I just love seeing people have a good time and also, have a good time as well.” She responded as she carried a tray filled with drinks.
We both smiled at each other.
“And I never knew you could drink on the job.” I looked at her with a grin boldly on my face.
“Come on, why won’t I be able to drink on the job? It all goes well and acceptable, as long as I don’t end up tipsy during my working hours.” She smirked as she gulped in the remaining alcohol.
“I guess maybe one of these days, you gotta take a shot with me.” I grinned as she winked at me. “Four shots and the bills are on me, I mean, all the bills.” I chuckled before we both parted ways.
I took Alicia up to the VIP section where all my guys were. And the moment they saw me approaching their way, they kept hailing as they raised their hands up.
“Here comes the newest soon-to-be college boy!” Jack hailed loudly as he got up from where he sat down.
“And with his lady.” Another of them teased
“Damn it? Wasn’t she the prom queen you posted on your grams?” Alias poked at me.
“Come on, guys. Get off with it.” I snapped the very moment I got close to them.
But then, Jack wouldn’t give up yet. He chuckled as he pulled me in for a warm hug, then he looked at Alicia.
“Welcome to the family.” He said as he poured a shot of tequila and handed it over to Alicia.
“Are you being serious right now, Jack?” Owen chuckled. “You don’t want a drunk girl for this night.” He sneered as he went for the glass, but Jack had stopped him halfway.
“We are now family, Owen. And one shot won’t ruin her, come on, guys.” He protested after seeing that none of us were ready to buy his idea.
“Definitely, not this one. You couldn’t even wait for a proper introduction.” I snapped as I took the drink from her.
“Are those contact lenses?” Patricia questioned as she got up to have a closer look of Alicia’s eyes.
“No!” Alicia answered defensively as she lowered her hair.
“No?” Multi-colored eyes? Is that normal?” Tricia sneered as she squinted her eyes further.
“Tricia, can you take your seat?” I frowned, causing her to sit.
“Oh boy, someone is really being edgy today.” Owen chuckled in a mocking manner as he looked at me.
“Can you all stop already? Alicia, don’t mind them. They are always this way. Troublesome but trust me, you will love them in no time.” I said with a smile, trying to ease the tension she felt at that point.
“This is Jack. We call him Jackie Chan because he is the most troublesome in the midst.” I pointed at Jack, and he wore a broad smile as he continued with his drink.
“This is Owen. Pokemon has numerous girlfriends that happen to be head over heels for him. We are yet to catch his secret but for now, don’t get too comfortable around him.” I shrugged as we all chuckled softly.
“Nice meeting you, milady.” Owen lowered his head as he kissed her hand.
“This is Tricia, she works in my dad’s tech company. The biggest tech company in New Kingston and we used the name, BOECH.”
“BOECH?” She gasped out in shock as her jaw dropped.
“Oh! Shocked? Trust me, the Bohen’s family, why do you think they are the richest and most powerful family in New Kingston?” Owen chuckled softly.
She looked at me as she tilted her lips. Her eyes were filled with emotions, and I couldn’t really figure out why.
“Are you okay?” I asked in a whisper.
