Book:The Alpha's Hot Chase After Divorce Published:2025-2-25

Logan’s POV.
I couldn’t have imagined that the prom night would be one hell of a ride for me.
I felt her words clinging to me and throughout the prom night, I kept wondering what must have prompted her to say such.
But then, I could think of it much as different desperate journalists had taken upon themselves to ruin the Bohen’s family. Maybe, I’m truly the beast she sees.
Her words still rang in my head like it was reoccurring again physically.
“Good morning, young master.” Othello greeted me as he walked into my room. “How do you feel now?” He questioned as he opened the curtains as the sun blinded my eyes for a while.
I yawned as I stretched my body. “What is the time?” I squinted my eyes to see the time on my alarm clock but before I could see it, Othello had echoed it out loud.
“12? 12p. m?” I shrieked as I jolted up from the bed. “How did I sleep this much?” I groaned as I slid my legs inside my slippers and picked up my shirt that laid on the bed.
“What happened last night?” I looked at Othello, as I walked inside the bathroom to brush my teeth.
“Nothing much. Nothing to worry about.” Othello answered indifferently as he arranged the bed.
“My head aches badly.” I shrugged, then lowered my head, as I washed it under the sink tap.
“No!! Something… thing happened.” I stuttered, then I stepped out of the bathroom with my towel in my hands, cleaning and drying my hair.
I frowned at Othello who now avoided my eyes.
“Mate!!” I heard it faintly again and the second time, it came out of my mouth.
“Where is Alicia?” I asked Othello.
“Dropped her off last night before bringing you home.” He responded calmly this time around.
Before he could say another word, I pinned him to the wall. My eyes glistened as I looked right into his eyes.
“What happened last night?” I asked again in a husky voice as I looked at him.
“I remember calling her mate. And next, I had a black out. I can’t remember any other thing that happened next.” I growled angrily.
“You only got tipsy after drinking a lot.” He mumbled as he looked at me. “You called Alicia your mate, and what next, she pulled off after a few minutes of looking at you.” He mumbled as he looked at me.
I took my hand off him, then paced around the room.
I picked up my phone as I called Alicia. “Hello, good afternoon, Alicia.” I greeted as I looked at the mirror, then I pushed my right hand inside my pocket.
“Good afternoon, Sir.” She greeted me in a serious tone.
“When will you be dropping by?” I asked her.
“I… I’m on my way.” She replied in a serious tone again.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I had nothing more to say to her. From our little call, it was obvious that I definitely did something.
“What made me call her mate?” I groaned as I rushed inside the bathroom then took my shower.
And within a jiffy, I was out and the moment I stepped out from the bathroom, I bumped into Alicia who was now in the room.
“Huh?” She gasped out as her cheek flustered.
She quickly lowered her head, as I had only a towel on, covering my hips downward to my knees.
“I… I’m sorry.” She quickly apologized as she shifted backwards. “I never knew you were having your bath.” She said as her cheeks got red.
“It’s fine.” I shook my head as I walked to my wardrobe. I took out a simple shirt and black fitted trousers.
She excused me as I got dressed, and within a few minutes, I was out and she looked at me, and I could see that she had a lot going on in her mind.
“I…”
“I…”
We said in a chorus as we both stopped.
“Oh! Sorry. You can go ahead.” I said with a smile as I looked at her.
“No! It’s fine. You can go ahead.” She blushed as she looked at me.
“I… I wanted to apologize for yesterday.” I muttered as I looked at her. “I know you expected something more. I definitely must have been drunk yesterday.” I groaned as I looked away.
“It’s nothing.” She replied as she smiled at me.
That was the only way out of it. I furrowed my eyebrows as we walked down the lobby.
“So, you will be working here. I guess you know all your duties. You serve only me. You will keep me updated with everything going on. You are also going to be more like my woman.” I smirked as I looked at her.
I saw the shock that was now clearly written on her face.
“Huh?” She gasped, as she looked at me.
“Yeah, you heard me right.” I said as I looked at her. “I will have Othello provide you with the necessary things you would be needing, and also, your basic needs as well will be taken care of.” I said in a calm tone as I maintained eye contact with her.
“But… but…” She stuttered as she looked at me.
“No but!!” I shut her up with my right index finger on her lips.
I felt her heart pound heavily as my finger was on her lips.
“You are my personal assistant, and it is my duty to provide you with everything that will make your work here easy.” I said with a smile as I looked at her.
I pulled my finger from her lip as I looked at her. I smiled warmly, then I walked away.
“Did you both settle it? How could you be that careless to call her your mate?” Alphonso snapped the moment I walked inside his office.
“I’m sorry, father. It was unplanned. I apologized already.” I said with a frown as I sat down next to him.
“Don’t forget the curse. Until you break it, you shouldn’t get a mate. I won’t be able to help you out when it gets to that.” He groaned as he looked at me.
