Johnny remembered the moment when Tilda suddenly suggested sleeping with him. Aside from his shock and a subtle flutter of excitement in his chest, he felt no trace of disgust!
That was when Johnny realized he must be in love with her.
He generally despised women who made the first move. In fact, he could say he loathed it! He was afraid that if he got involved, he wouldn’t be able to shake them off!

Tilda couldn’t believe Johnny was willing to go this far for her. It felt like a dream!

She thought she was so ordinary! If he liked Rosalind, it was understandable-after all, her delicate and alluring face, along with her stunning figure, was irresistible to men. However, Tilda felt she had nothing to make her stand out from the crowd!
“I can’t really say,” Johnny admitted honestly. “Just because I’ve had been in many relationships doesn’t mean I’m good with sweet talk or pickup lines. I rarely say much, so when you ask me these questions… I can’t answer them. I don’t know what to say! How about this? Tell me what answer you want to hear, and I’ll say it!”
It was even harder than Ulric’s demand for project files that had to be submitted the next day! He didn’t even know where to start. All he knew was that if he answered incorrectly, he’d have to start all over to please her!
Honestly, aside from Tilda, Johnny had never truly cared for any of his partners! If he found someone attractive and charming, he’d hand over a room key, sleep with them, and settle it with some cash afterward. If he didn’t care about Tilda, why would he go to great lengths to please her and win her heart?
Seeing him fidgeting, Tilda couldn’t help but laugh in exasperation.
If someone didn’t know better, they’d think he was a newbie in love, acting more clumsy than Howard!
“Here’s the deal. Let me go first to talk things over with Howard, then I’ll call you and we can discuss it later, okay?” Tilda wanted to give him some time to sort out his feelings.
They were talking about marriage, not a game.
She also needed time to think about whether to trust Johnny one more time.
After all, with his looks… if they had a child together, it would surely be beautiful! That was probably the most convincing reason Tilda could come up with at the moment.
It was too early to discuss love and feelings!
Tilda wasn’t someone who easily lost her mind over love. She approached it with seriousness, She definitely was not a lovesick girl.
As soon as Johnny heard she wanted to leave to see Howard, he immediately grasped her wrist. “No, you can’t go see him!”
“I told you, I’m just going to check on him. After what happened last night, it would be incredibly rude not to show my concern! Johnny, you can’t just think about your own feelings. You have to see it from my point of view. How am I supposed to explain this to my parents?”
This man acted like a child-selfish and unreasonable, throwing a fit without caring about anything else.
Johnny looked at her and pondered for a few seconds before saying, “Then I’ll go with you.”
“What do you want to do? Beat him up again?”
“To apologize! It wasn’t you who hit him. You’re not the one who owes him an apology! Even though he took my woman out for dinner, gave her roses, and spent the night alone with her in the car, I still shouldn’t resort to violence.”
