Johnny drove straight home, and as soon as he entered, he saw Tilda surrounded by his parents, sitting in the middle.
Before Johnny spoke, Tilda was still trying to explain, “Mrs. Chow, Johnny and I are really not in a relationship! We are just friends!”
“I understand!”
“You do?”
“I know you’re angry. Johnny’s behavior is indeed infuriating! But don’t worry. When he’s back, his father and I will definitely teach him a lesson!”
Just when Tilda was feeling helpless, unsure of how to explain to Johnny’s parents, she caught sight of Johnny out of the corner of her eye!
She quickly stood up from the sofa and pointed at him. “Johnny, come explain to your parents!”
Mrs. Chow also breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her son return.
She was afraid that her daughter-in-law would run away. If her son came back asking for Tilda, what would she do?
Johnny walked over with a smile, stood beside Tilda, and squinted his eyes with a grin, “Okay, let me explain-”
“Tilda is my girlfriend. I want to marry her.”
Hearing this, Mrs. Chow visibly relaxed.
However, Tilda was on the verge of tears!
“Johnny, are you crazy? When did I become your girlfriend?”
“How many times did you sleep with me? If you’re not my girlfriend, who else will be?”
Mr. Chow coughed a few times upon hearing this and got up to leave the living room.
Only Mrs. Chow remained, smiling with joy in her eyes. “Why don’t you two talk first? Your dad and I will take a walk nearby. If you decide to go to the bank today, we’ll go together. If not, we’ll leave first.”
“Alright, Mom. I’ll calm her down! She’s just throwing a tantrum.”
After sending his parents away, Johnny turned around and immediately felt a sharp pain in his foot!
Tilda noticed he was wearing slippers and stomped on them hard!
“Ouch! Are you trying to cripple me? My leg just healed!”
“Serves you right! You’d better end up disabled!” Tilda glared at him and stretched out her hand. “Give me my phone back! Johnny, do you know this is considered house arrest?”
She had to contact her parents to explain things about Howard!
“I have no choice. If I let you go, you’ll definitely run to the hospital to find that man!” Johnny pulled Tilda back to the sofa and looked at her seriously with his dark eyes. “I’m not joking. I agree with your conditions. My parents really came to handle the transfer procedures with you! Don’t you want a sense of security? I’m giving it to you!”
Today’s Johnny was different from usual.
Because he had a meeting at the company, he was dressed in a suit and tie for once. His hair was neatly combed back, making him look like he had transformed from a roguishly handsome guy into an elite in the business world.
Perhaps it wasn’t an illusion. There really seemed to be some sincerity in his words.
However…
“If you’re serious, then answer me-why me?”
Tilda tried hard not to get emotional and talked with him calmly.
But she got Johnny there!
“What other reason could there be? It has to be you!”
“Among all your ex-girlfriends, there must be many who are prettier than me, have better figures, are more understanding, and are eager to cling to you. So why am I the one you want to marry?” Tilda straightforwardly voiced her thoughts. “Is it because I refused to keep in touch with you, making you think I’m different?”
Johnny tugged at his tie. “You’re overthinking it… I don’t agree to sleep with everyone who brings it up.”
