Rosalind glared at him playfully. “But Dr. Stewart said last time she wanted to help you, but you refused.”
Ulric thought for a moment and then remembered the incident at the hospital in Sweden.
“What a blabbermouth.”
“It’s the first time she’s met a troublemaker like you,” Rosalind said as she pulled out a chair and sat down, watching Ulric place both children on their chairs. “She said you’d rather endure the pain than let her help you.”
Ulric placed a glass of milk in front of her. “I just dislike other women touching me.”
“Are you afraid I’ll get jealous?” Rosalind suddenly had this thought.
It seemed like he was always particularly cold and distant when facing Rebecca, just like he had been with Sirena.
Ulric smiled at her. “Would you get jealous?”
“I’m not as jealous as you. Dr. Stewart is a doctor who tries to treat your illness.”
If she even got jealous of a doctor, that would be unreasonable, wouldn’t it?
“I wish you were jealous.”
Over the years, his self-discipline kept him clean, and this woman didn’t care at all.
Rosalind glanced at him without saying anything, but her smile remained.
After dinner, Ulric cleaned up the toys the children had been playing with earlier.
Rosalind knew he hadn’t cured his cleanliness compulsion. He was just suppressing it.
“I asked Cedric to book tickets to Faydale.”
“Okay.” She hugged Ulric from behind. “It’s just a pity there’s no snow in Faydale right now.”
“It will snow eventually.” Ulric turned around and held her completely in his arms. “We can stay in Faydale for a while.”
“What about your work?”
“Johnny can handle it.”
Rosalind shook her head with a smile. “Better not. Your health comes before all else. You need to return to Sweden as soon as possible.”
“Rosalind, I don’t want you to have regrets.”
In his arms, Rosalind shook her head. “I have no regrets anymore.”
In this lifetime, having someone who cherished her like a treasure, carefully protecting her-what more could she regret? If there was one thing, it might be that they couldn’t grow old together.

Johnny had just finished a meeting at the company and stood up to leave the conference room when his mother called him.
He answered while instructing his secretary, “Deliver the meeting summary to Cedric and tell him I have something to do this afternoon and won’t be in the office.”
“Yes, Mr. Chow.”
After giving instructions, Johnny spoke to his mother. “Hello, Mom!”
“Did you finish your meeting?”
“Yes, I’m heading to the underground parking lot now. Where are you? I’ll come find you.”
He said this while grabbing his car keys and walking towards the elevator.
Mrs. Chow paused for a moment and then lowered her voice as she questioned, “What’s going on with you and Tilda? She told me you’re not even dating!”
“She said that?” Johnny raised an eyebrow as he got into the car.
“Yes! Your father and I were caught off guard. What’s going on?”
“Oh, I made her angry, and she’s just throwing a tantrum! You’ve heard her admit she’s my girlfriend the other day, haven’t you?” Johnny chuckled. “Don’t worry. We will be fine.”
Mrs. Chow was still doubtful. “Really?”
“Yes! I’m heading back to make it up to her now. You didn’t let her leave, did you?”
“No, no, I was just worried that if she left angry, it wouldn’t be good.”
Johnny sighed in relief.
“Alright, I’m on my way. We’ll talk later!”
