Chapter 603: This is My Private Matter

Rosalind was shocked that B7 actually tracked her IP address!
Was B7 afraid that she would run away?
Soon, another text came through. “Easthaven Bay is a luxury villa area in Northville City. You’re with Mr. Walters now, right?”
Rosalind disliked the feeling of her privacy being invaded. It made her feel disrespected.
But B7 seemed to never understand what “respect” meant.
“This is my private matter.”
“Okay! But your flash drive has a problem. I need to see you. Meet me at the roundabout in front of Easthaven Bay.”
Rosalind was stunned and instinctively glanced at the still-closed master bedroom door.
“Now?”
“Yes.”
Rosalind was reluctant to go out late at night to meet a man. B7 was, after all, of the opposite sex, and he had previously made that request, clearly having other intentions towards her. However, he said the flash drive had an issue…
She couldn’t refuse, fearing it might indeed have a problem.
“Can’t it wait until tomorrow? It’s too late today.”
“I don’t have time tomorrow. If you don’t come out now, I won’t take your job.”
Hearing that, Rosalind quickly put on her slippers. “I’m coming out. Wait for me.”
She had no choice. She grabbed a thin coat to put on, changed her shoes, and went out.
Fortunately, it was still brightly lit outside. Rosalind ran a few steps and saw a figure at the roundabout.
In the middle of the night, he really was elusive.
Seeing Rosalind, B7 pulled down the hood of his sweatshirt and looked at her with his dark eyes.
“What happened to the flash drive?”
“It was deliberately destroyed.”
B7 spoke lazily. Under the moonlight, his skin looked even paler, with the blue veins on the back of his hands clearly visible.
“Yes, otherwise, I wouldn’t have sought you out.” Rosalind knew that Ulric’s mother did things thoroughly, especially when it came to destroying evidence!
Otherwise, she wouldn’t be acting so nonchalantly in front of her without any guilt!
She thought Rosalind wouldn’t be able to get any evidence against her.
“This contains surveillance footage from a hospital.”
“You’ve already restored it?” Rosalind was surprised.
B7 snorted. “Do you think it’s that easy? Only a few frames were recovered.”
“Yes… this is the surveillance video from the hospital. I need to see who contacted my mother before she died and what they said to her.”
B7 squinted his eyes, hands in his sweatshirt pockets. With his tall and thin figure, he looked like he could be blown away by the night wind!
“I never take on jobs like this. They’re troublesome.” This was true.
Not only would the restoration process be complicated, but there was also the risk of having his work questioned for authenticity. There was a good chance it could be submitted as evidence in court, and he might even have to testify about the video’s legitimacy.
He simply found it to be a hassle.
Hearing this, Rosalind quickly said, “But you’ve already taken my deposit! You can’t back out!”
“Tsk, can you let me finish?”
B7 glanced at her. “You want to file a lawsuit, right? Sue those who harmed your mother.”
“Yes!”
“Then I’ll restore it in high definition, so the court won’t miss anything.”
Rosalind was stunned. “Can you do that?”
“Are you questioning my abilities?”
“No.” She shook her head quickly.
B7 noticed her shivering slightly in the night wind and waved his hand. “Go back now. I’ve asked what I needed.”
After saying that, he turned around and left without any hesitation.
Rosalind watched him walk away before tiptoeing back to Easthaven Bay. When she looked up-
Ulric was sitting on the sofa.
