Callie was still in shock, unable to believe that Nelson would humiliate her like this.
She kept shaking her head, using the last of her strength to say, “I don’t like it, and I don’t want to.”
Nelson’s eyes were cold as he looked at her. The thought of her with another man filled him with relentless hostility.
He leaned down, gripping the back of her neck, forcing her closer. “But I like it.”
When he didn’t want to talk properly, he was no different from a spoiled rich boy, doing whatever just to get what he wanted.
Callie knelt, clutching his pants. The expensive fabric barely wrinkled under her grip.
“Did you trick me into coming here just for this?”
Nelson neither confirmed nor denied it. “Isn’t this what you’re best at?”
The blatant humiliation didn’t anger Callie for once. She stopped struggling, her pale hand falling on his silver belt buckle, pressing it lightly until it clicked open.
Desire surged in him.
Callie continued her actions without expression. Just as she was about to pull off the belt, her wrists were suddenly held tight.
Nelson’s expression grew even darker, “Good girl, doing whatever I ask. Would you do the same if someone else asks you?”
At the thought of this, the desire to kill her couldn’t be suppressed.
Callie raised her eyes calmly, “Wasn’t it you who forced me?”
The atmosphere became even more oppressive, almost suffocating, Nelson grew more gloomy, yet she persisted, “Don’t you love to see me unable to escape from the gilded cage you created, crashing around, bruised and bloodied, but always under your control, Nelson, is it satisfying?”
He frowned, then suddenly smiled, a cold smile devoid of any warmth, “Quite satisfying.”
Callie felt stifled.
She had never been more aware of the gap between them. He grew up in wealth and privilege, always the leader, while she was accustomed to mediocre and ordinary life, always working for others.
The gap between them had widened since she got lost.
Callie narrowed her eyes, “Nelson, how did you become like this?”
A sudden question, even she didn’t know if she was referring to the Nelson she grew up with, or the Nelson she met after marriage.
He paused slightly, her words hitting a nerve, the sorrow in her eyes almost made him lose his composure.
Davian’s lounge was in an excellent location; although the view wasn’t very broad, it offered strong privacy.
Suddenly, a heavy downpour hit, the dimness outside made the indoor lighting even darker, and the atmosphere grew more heavy and chemistry grew.
Callie huddled in the corner, watching large raindrops hit the window.
“Aren’t you afraid of being punished for slapping Ylosea’s leader?”
The sound of the lighter was particularly noticeable in the dark environment, Nelson cupped the flame, lighting a cigarette.
“Ylosea’s development doesn’t need him to meddle.”
He exhaled a puff of smoke, arrogance and defiance evident in his words, clearly well-prepared.
Callie had no interest in their conflict; her mind was brimming with thoughts of how to escape.
Nelson wouldn’t let her go until he was thoroughly satisfied.
“What, feeling sorry?” He tilted his head slightly, his gaze condescending.
Callie blurted out, “Who do I feel sorry for…”
Realizing something as she finished speaking, she looked at him with a furrowed brow, “Nelson, are you jealous?”
Jamir couldn’t have told Nelson about the phone call, so the only reason for his sudden anger was the gossip news.
