Just as she was about to leave, Davian blocked her again. “Fine, I’m going.”
She was surprised and only turned around after the door was closed, still not fully comprehending.
The door to Davian’s lounge was open, and a dark figure stood there, looking at her with heavy, tired eyes, as if he had just woken up.
Nelson’s lips were pressed together, his whole demeanor gloomy and cold. His indifferent gaze made her heart race.
Callie felt guilty seeing this man again. She instinctively stepped back. “What are you doing here?”
He walked back into the lounge, leaving behind a curt, “Come in.”
Callie didn’t want to follow, but when she tried to pull the door handle, she found it locked by Davian.
Her scalp tingled with fear, and she had no choice but to follow him in.
As soon as she stepped into his territory, she felt an oppressive atmosphere enveloping her.
“You’ve been here all along?” Callie stood a few steps away from him, noticing the unfinished drink on the table.
Before he could answer, she was suddenly lifted and forced onto the man’s lap, looking up at him.
Callie instinctively tried to avoid his gaze, feeling uncomfortable. “You can do this in someone else’s lounge? So indiscriminate.”
Nelson remained silent, his hand moving slowly from her waist to her lips, tracing them carefully. He sneered, “Your mouth is too sharp.”
Callie sensed something was off with him today, as if he was on the edge of rage.
He increased his grip, and she turned her head to avoid him. “What’s wrong with you? I haven’t even seen you lately.”
She couldn’t understand why Nelson was acting this way.
Hearing her words, his smile grew colder. “You haven’t seen me, but you’ve seen other men.”
Callie’s mind went blank at his words. She grabbed his wrist to stop him. “… We’re already divorced. I don’t need your permission to meet anyone.”
“Jamir loves you,” Nelson concluded. Her strength was no match for his. His large hand gripped her neck as he kissed her and spoke. “Are you getting back together with him?”
As he spoke, he suddenly bit her.
It seemed like an act of revenge. Callie winced in pain and tried to push him away, but he kissed her more deeply, sucking away the blood. The taste of iron filled both their mouths.
She had been trained by him, and now she felt weak all over. For a few seconds, she was lost in thought as the atmosphere grew subtly warmer. “Nelson-”
“Didn’t I say that if you got back with him, I’d give him another child?”
Nelson’s low voice was magnetic but carried a deadly threat.
Callie felt a chill all over, knowing he wasn’t joking.
His hand moved downward to prove his point.
Callie snapped back to reality and blocked his hand. “Not today.”
Feeling an obstacle, Nelson withdrew his hand but didn’t intend to let her go. He stared at her blood-red lips. “Then we’ll do it another way.”
“… I wish I could kill you.”
She started trembling. “I don’t want to!”
Nelson’s interest was already piqued. He tightened his grip on her neck. “Isn’t this just a game? Aren’t you playing my favorite role? Why stop now?”
He had indeed heard her earlier words.
Suddenly, Nelson let go, and she fell onto the soft carpet in a disheveled state.
He sat on the sofa like a proud and cold-blooded lion, looking at her as if she were a toy.
“I taught you this, didn’t I? Have you forgotten?”
