Kian felt like he had discovered something significant, and his expression became serious and solemn.
This matter needed to be handled delicately, without drawing anyone’s attention.
Especially Yessica. Although Yessica was his girlfriend and they would be married in the future, as long as anything related to Camille was involved, Yessica would side with Camille.
Yessica used to say, “Without Camille, I wouldn’t even know you, and even if I did, we wouldn’t be together. Camille encouraged me to pursue my true love.”
Yessica loved Camille the most, partly because she genuinely liked her and partly because Camille treated her really well.
So how could she not side with Camille?
Kian understood this too. He had to keep it from Yessica. Otherwise, their relationship would be severed, and they might even lose their villa.
Kian arrived at the hotel and went straight to his hotel room after checking in.
The hotel was divided into two areas-the north region and the south region. Kian had already confirmed that Camille and Yessica were staying in the north region, so he chose to check into the south region.
This way, even if they went for a walk, they wouldn’t run into each other because the recreational areas in the two regions were not located in the same place.
Staying in the same hotel would make it convenient to handle any unexpected situations.
Kian returned to his room. This time he came to Flento City without even picking up his luggage, as it was a last-minute work arrangement made by Ayan, and there was no time to pack his things.
He contacted Ayan’s people in Flento City and had already arranged for them to secretly monitor Camille and Yessica’s actions.
At this moment, he made a phone call.
The other person politely greeted Kian before saying, “After they checked into the hotel, they immediately went out. They went to meet with the project manager of Bluesky Properties and had dinner at the Belrose. Our people are currently staying put outside the Belrose because only members are allowed to enter, so we can’t get in.”
Upon hearing the other party’s response, Kian froze slightly.
He asked a few more questions about the Belrose while confirming that Bluesky Properties did indeed have someone there tonight. It was easy to check since they were all influential individuals.
With this answer, Kian immediately sent a message to Ayan.
Ayan didn’t reply immediately, so Kian put down his phone and went to have dinner. He had been busy working at Simpson Group all morning and went straight to the airport. He only got a quick bite on the plane and hadn’t had a proper meal yet.
While Kian was having dinner, at the Belrose, Camille and Yessica finished their meal with the project manager of Bluesky Properties and saw him off before returning to their private room.
Camille’s phone rang at this moment. She glanced at the caller ID and answered, “Hello?”
It was unclear what the other person said, but Camille’s expression immediately turned serious.
She calmly replied, “I understand. It’s okay. I’m staying at the Belrose. You can come over.”
Camille’s face darkened as she hung up the phone.
Yessica asked, “Camille, who was it? Is there someone else we need to meet? When are we going back to the hotel? I’m getting tired.”
Camille looked at the time and said, “Rest here for a while. We’ll leave once I finish dealing with something, alright?”
Yessica nodded. “Okay.”
She pursed her lips slightly and looked a bit tired as she lay down on the sofa.
Yessica had been running around all day. They left early in the morning and didn’t rest after arriving in Flento City. They had been busy with work all day. She was actually quite exhausted.
Camille came out of the private room and walked into an adjacent one.
She pushed open the door, and the person inside immediately walked up to her before saying in a low voice, “Do you think he suspects something?”
“Why be afraid?” Camille smiled faintly. “The worst case scenario is that we have to confront each other. Are you scared?”
Crystal sighed, “I’m genuinely scared. You don’t know how much I tremble when I see Mr. Simpson now. Fortunately, you reminded me to watch out for anyone following me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have noticed that Kian also came to Flento City. It seems like you really understand Mr. Simpson!”
Camille smiled. “It’s not understanding. I see through him. This is Flento City. No matter how well we disguise ourselves, he surely grows suspicious.”
Crystal laughed.
She gave Camille a thumbs-up. “You’re clever indeed! Mr. Simpson’s men are watching you outside now. If you go out, they’ll follow you. Fortunately, you chose the Belrose because only members are allowed to enter. Even if they find a way in, it’ll probably be too late.”
The Belrose had many people coming in and out every day. Crystal had stayed here last night without going out today so as not to arouse suspicion.
As they were talking, there was a knock on the door.
They exchanged glances before Crystal said, “They’re here. I’ll go open the door.”
Crystal stayed at the hotel with her aunt, who had been eagerly waiting for this day. Both of them had tossed and turned all night, unable to sleep.
Finally, it was happening now.
Crystal opened the door. Outside stood an elegant woman who looked at Crystal with an inquisitive gaze. Crystal whispered softly, “Come inside first, Aunt Kathleen.”
Crystal held her aunt’s arm and led her into the room before closing the door behind them.
Crystal walked up to Camille with her aunt beside her, and Kathleen introduced herself briefly. Camille smiled faintly and said, “Hello again. This is our second meeting and second introduction.”
Crystal felt embarrassed. “I’m sorry for last time. It was my fault for deceiving you.”
Camille smiled lightly and said, “We can settle that later. How about you take me somewhere delicious as punishment?”
“Sure thing,” Crystal agreed immediately.
Last time, things happened too suddenly. If Ayan hadn’t warned them, who knew what else could have happened afterward?
Crystal took a deep breath of relief.
Camille looked at Kathleen. Kathleen looked back at her, and they exchanged smiles.
The atmosphere was quite good.
Crystal’s previous worries gradually diminished.
Crystal suggested, “Why don’t you two talk alone? Should I wait outside?”
“No need.” Camille joked, “Since you already know so much about it, do you want to avoid suspicion?”
Crystal fell silent after being hit right where it mattered since she did indeed have plans and thoughts about avoiding suspicion.
Camille took the initiative to speak again, “How should I address you?”
She was polite since Kathleen was technically her mother. Even though they hadn’t officially acknowledged each other yet, proper etiquette still needed to be observed.
