Xavier’s POV
I entered my car and drove off towards her company, I started feeling nostalgic as I drove along my usual direction, remembered when she isn’t in my life yet, I hardly go home except I wanted a change of bed rest, I almost lived at the office, even at home, it feels cold and devoid of warmth even with the cookers there, tried dating but no one made me feel enough to rush home whenever I remember them.
Mind you I believe in love and wish to have it, I saw my parents shower each other with pure love when they were alive, our family was so happy and bright and that’s what I was looking for, am surprised I found it in someone I never knew or approached, I really am thankful that Collins was foolish enough to let such a gem go because it’s mine now and am not giving her up for anything.
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t met her, I don’t remember how I lived before, how I slept, eat and perform my everyday activities without her, but one thing I know is that I don’t want to go back to that life, it’s so empty.
“Guess am the lucky one, thanks Collins for being so stupid and a foolish ”
I smiled as I put in my music,

A few minutes later I was standing in front of the building and her running towards me, she hugged me once she got close and I hugged her back, feels nice.
“How was work, hope M didn’t try to smother you with work?”
“He did try but your husband is stronger than him”
“Yeah I know but M is really something else”
“Why you and Mike call him M?”
“Well because… ”
“Because what?”
“Because it’s none of your business ”
“Ouch”
“Well for me I don’t remember his name, there are too many names that’s started with M so I forget his easily and M sounds cooler”
“What if his name doesn’t even start with the letter ‘M’ what you gonna do?”
“Still calm him that, it suits him”
“Okay, Queen what you say goes, so where do you want us to go to? Your usual store?”
“Yes you know it”
“Let’s go”
“Mhmm”
We left, she wanted to hol my hand but remembered I was driving so she placed it on my thigh which is quite dangerous if I must say, I entwined my left hand with her right hand and kissed the back of her hand, I saw her blush before she averted her gaze, that’s so adorable.
We arrived and we got out together, I held her hand as we walked into the mall straight to her usual store, once they saw her face, they smiled and called the girl that always serve us, seems like she has been promoted, she is diligent and respectful from what Jessica told me about their encounter.
“Ma’am, am glad you are doing okay, you and your husband ”
“Oh you must have seen the news, don’t worry we are fine, don’t call me ma’am, call me Mrs Jessica McCartney anyone you chose ”
“Okay Mrs McCartney, so what do you want today?”
“I want a beach cloth, a dinner dress and some nice date outfits both casual and occasion”
“Okay, come this way Ma”
We followed her into another room, I wonder exactly how many rooms are in this place, every time we come here, they show us another room with different types of clothes for different sizes.
“Wow there are so many bikinis”
“Babe… ”
“What?”
“Eh…. Nothing ”
I wanted to tell her to get one that covers her while body but I remembered that my place is a small island so no one will be seeing her except me, am not letting anyone set eyes on my beautiful wife except me.
“Xavier your face is creeping me out, wipe that smile off your face”
“Baby find something sexy”
“No”
“Oh come on”
“Not doing that pervert,”
We bought everything she needed and left, we started packing our stuffs in a suit bag and kept it away for tomorrow, we went downstairs for dinner and I remembered something.
“That reminds me, babe you said you will tell me something later?”
“Yes, I did, it’s about Collins ”
“Okay, what about him?”
“He called earlier today so we met up at the cafe”
“Okay so what is it about ”
“Well he said so many things”

Jessica’s POV
“Hi Jessica it’s me Collins ”
“Oh Collins, how are you?”
“Am okay, am at your cafe”
“… Okay, give me some minutes, am coming downstairs ”
I went downstairs to see him, he looked thinner not scrawny though just a little bit thin and he was fairer, I sat down in front of him,
“Hi, sorry I couldn’t come see you during the times you had issues, I wasn’t feeling fine then that’s why”
“It’s no problem, everything has been sorted out”
“What about your husband Xavier is he okay?”
“Yes he is, where have you been, it’s been a while everything ended”
“Sorry I was just not feeling okay, I had a contractable illness so I was on quarantine for those days but am fine since last two weeks but had to sit it out”
“Sorry about that, your dad was really worried about your disappearance ”
“It was so sudden I couldn’t contact them but we have reunited and I told them everything ”
“Are you sure you are okay, heard that you fell off the roof”
“Am fine, thanks for asking, I really appreciate ”
“Will you be at the office tomorrow?”
“…… Yes I will ”
“Then I will come see you tomorrow again ”
