QUEEN CHRISELDA
“Outrageous!” Fiona sparked while attending to my aching body in my room.
I was sitting down on the bed while she was applying a healing ointment to my body, given to her by Thelma.
The pains inflicted on me by that Dark blood was too much.
He’s way stronger than the last time I laid my eyes on him. Not just that, he’s younger than ever, while I’m wrinkling away into old age.
Cadell… That beast almost killed me!
I am still dumbfounded by what Thelma told me.
All this while, the bearer of Violet’s power has been living under my roof and we didn’t know!
And that person is none other than that useless Omega that calls herself Evolet!
I didn’t want to believe it after the last incident with that girl.
The potion we poured on her didn’t take any effect, and that left me assuming we made a mistake by thinking she’s the one.
But little did I know that that girl was clever. Not just her, but her so called pet wolf!
That was Cadell all along!
That monster has been in my home protecting Evolet from Thelma and I.
I was shocked when she told me that the same men who disgraced my Allen were Cadell and that Alpha Cat who almost turned my pack upside down!
Those two abominations have been staying under my roof as pets, monitoring everything we’ve been doing.
I won’t have believed it if I hadn’t witnessed everything tonight with my own eyes.
That girl has the spirit wolf in her.
“I knew all along that Evolet wasn’t clean. The sudden ability to fight creatures beyond her weak strength, even without unleashing her own wolf… That has been a red flag from the start!” Fiona pointed out while massaging my legs.
I had to hiss when she stretched out my aching ankle, making it crack into the right position.
That made my son, who was standing at the corner with the sorceress, stare at me worriedly.
He was blown away by the report Thelma and I shared with him.
He can’t believe his sweet darling Evolet is working hand in hand with the rogue. At least this will finally change his mindset about that girl.
“If the rogue is helping the vampires then that means Evolet is a spy who’s working for them from within! And those videos of us spreading around the net… There’s no doubt that she’s the one. She and that rogue boyfriend of hers are responsible for ruining our name!” Fiona sparked, adding pressure to my leg.
When I made a louder hiss to show her how hurt I was, she immediately composed herself and said, comforting me, “My Queen, I’m sorry that you went through this fight all by yourself. If you had told me about it, I’d have left everything behind and taken the risk of hunting that girl down myself. She deserves to be punished for what she has done.”
Her eyes shimmered, revealing her deep hunger for revenge.
“She couldn’t stand the fact that you chose me over other damsels. Her jealousy brought out her true colors.”
Now I can’t help but wish that I took Fiona along to handle Eve. If she had followed us, I bet that Werecat wouldn’t have escaped with that girl.
Fiona is such a wonderful wolf. Allen is just too blind to see it.
Well, I’m sure he can see how better she is than that Omega. He will regret ever going against me, all in the name of trying to satisfy his urges.
Allen couldn’t utter a word but stare at us quietly. He had his back against the wall and his arms crossed, while Thelma stood next to the window beside Allen, staring out into the night.
She has been that way ever since we returned from our fight. She’s annoyed with the turn of event at the forest.
“My Queen, the people deserve to know what that traitor has done. Let them know that she is no heroine but a villain working against us!” Fiona suggested, getting eager to bring Evolet down.
I hummed at her words and said, “Of course we’ll do that, my dear. That girl won’t get away with her crime. She didn’t just ruin your image but tarnished Wolf Fall’s Alpha’s name as well. That kind of video was taken in a skillful manner, meaning she had help from either her rogue lover or the Werecat, taking every suspicion away from her.”
I lifted my eyes at my son again and saw him looking away in shame.
That wasn’t the only thing I spotted. Allen had his hands tightening into a fist.
He’s mad with everything that happened. Mad at his own foolishness.
“If not for the goddess and my wonderful sorceress, they would have succeeded in brainwashing the people into thinking I killed my good friend, Violet. I thank the heavens,” I sighed out, placing my hand on my chest innocently.
“But I still don’t get one thing. How did Evolet pull it? Vampires, Werecats, the Rogue… She’s just a nobody with no special gift, so how did she get those creatures on her side?” Fiona asked, finding this off.
Knowing well that the rumors of that girl carrying out Violet’s lifestyle is because of the power that’s in her, I said, chuckling, “What else can a traitor give our enemies to make herself the center of attention? I’m sure you know that answer.”
Fiona smiled at me and gently gave me an embrace, making a promise from the depths of her heart, “I promise to restore the honor of this family, my Queen. Evolet must pay for what she did to you and Allen. You have my word.”
“I trust you, Fiona,” I said, smiling at my wonderful girl.
Wolf Fall’s future Luna, and my son’s bride.
No matter how much I love her, she can’t know about the spirit wolf. It’s meant for me.
If I wish to share the power with her, I’ll do that when the time is right.
Done with her work, Fiona decided to go and see her mother. “I wanted to head home tonight, but it’s important for me to stay here and watch over you. I’ll be back.”
“Alright dear, you may go,” I permitted her to leave, showing my delight in such an angelic soul like her.
As she drew closer to the door, Fiona came to a stop next to Allen and gave him a brief word, saying, “I told you didn’t I? Now who’s the laughing stock?”
Allen had his eyes fixed right at Fiona. He didn’t bust out at her like he usually does, but humbled himself like the loser he has become, until she was out of the room, leaving us alone.
Once she was gone, my son finally drew nearer to me, asking, “Where did they head to?” He lifted his gaze, staring into my eyes.
The raging eyes of a mad wolf.
Oh, he’s really annoyed.
Pleased with this, I responded, nursing my aching arm, “I don’t really know where, Allen. That Dark Blood has this ability to hide ones scent from being detected. We can’t tell if they are hiding in the forest or with the enemies.”
“Fine then, we’re going to comb the whole woods and fish them out, especially that Omega,” He groaned, tightening his fists.
“She fooled me into thinking she was perfect. I gave her my whole time and attention without knowing it was all a plan to destroy me. That Evolet… ARGH!” He slammed his hand to the ground, creating a crack.
The sight of his rage bloomed my heart sweetly. At last he has come to his senses.
“They have cross the line this time. I’ll make sure they don’t escape us,” Allen vowed, looking right at Thelma.
Then he said, talking to us both, “We’ll need the help of every Werewolves from other packs. It’s best we take them by surprise with our number, that way we’ll have a higher chance against those creatures.”
“That’s a good idea son. Hurry up and inform them,” I said, permitting him to take the step.
That’s when Allen said, reminding me of my judgement recently, “You seem to have forgotten that you stripped me off my position, mother. Do you think they will listen to a mere wolf like me?”
He smirked, tilting his head to the side.
Understanding where he’s going with this, I gave in and said, “Fine, you can have your position back.”
“Just like that?” He scoffed, taking it as a joke.
“The announcement you made was public, so how will anyone believe that I’m Wolf Fall’s Alpha again?”
“Allen, just…”
“Everyone will know by tomorrow, Alpha,” Thelma interrupted, finally snapping out from her lost zone.
She turned to face us and said, smiling at my son, “Tomorrow, the Queen will make the announcement that you are the Alpha again. Then you can dive into action and bring your enemies down. Don’t worry.”
“Thank you, Sorceress. That’s all I wanted to hear,” Allen appreciated, simpering at me.
His behavior was beginning to scare me again.
I fear Allen still has that mindset of taking Wolf Fall’s from me.
I just can’t understand him anymore!
“I’ll wait for the great news. Then after that… I’ll make my move as the ruler of this pack,” Allen decided, looking right at me.
With a gentle touch to my face, he said, “Everything will be fine when I step in, mother.”
Then he left, leaving Thelma and I behind.
As soon as he exited the room, I felt a cold sensation engulfing my whole body system.
I wrapped my arms across my chest and turned over to explain this feeling to Thelma, but she suddenly chipped in and said, “Ignore him for now, Chriselda. We have a bigger problem to face.”
“But Thelma, Allen’s character is… is terrifying me.”
“You should be scared of that girl more than your son! He’s just a mere case you can handle later on, but Evolet…” She groaned, pacing about in the room angrily.
“She slipped away because of Cadell. He ruined it all. But it’s not over yet. It is never over,” She said, wagging her finger with a cunning smile spreading across her face.
I had no clue on were she was heading next with our plan, until she made mention of Allen’s idea of getting other Werewolves involved in this fight.
“We need stronger allies for this battle, Chriselda. And I am certain that Cadell is hiding Evolet in the Werecat’s pack. When the Werewolves arrive, I’ll prepare something special for them,” She said, delivering another grin that pleased my heart and soul.
“We now know who the target is. You’ll get what you truly deserve, my Queen. The power to rule far and wide, beyond your imagination… It shall be yours.”
“It will be mine indeed,” I agreed, craving for that moment.
