Book:Mr. Marsh's Twins Published:2025-2-16

Agnes sat on the stool in front of the doctor’s desk, listening to the doctor’s announcement. She held the freshly printed ultrasound report in her hand, clearly seeing the words-two gestational sacs, two embryos, two heartbeats! It was confirmed to be twins! This sudden joy made her reaction noticeably slow by half a beat.
Tom was equally overjoyed, a gentle and handsome smile forming at the corners of his lips. “Thank you, doctor. Are there any precautions we should take?”
He began to feel nervous and helpless! He was going to be a father!!
“Have regular prenatal check-ups, rest well, drink plenty of water, and maintain a happy mood,” the doctor replied.
For an obstetrician, a woman’s pregnancy was a routine matter. They didn’t know how many such cases they handled daily.
“Thank you, doctor!” Tom noted down the advice.
Agnes also stood up with the report in her hand. “Thank you, doctor.” She looked truly beautiful when she smiled.
“You’re welcome.” The doctor smiled at them both. They were very good-looking and seemed well-matched. The doctor could sense their love and hoped it would last forever.
Then the doctor called towards the door, “Next one, please.”
Tom wrapped his arm around Agnes’s shoulder and led her out. With the test results in hand, they both felt relieved.
On the drive home, they were both elated.
Agnes sat in the passenger seat, still holding onto the ultrasound report showing her pregnancy results. She looked at it again and again until she could recite it by heart.
She then called her grandmother. “Grandma, I’m pregnant, and it’s twins! The doctor said everything is normal; we just need regular check-ups.”
“Really?! Twins!!” Grandma was overjoyed; it was unexpected news.
The elderly woman laughed heartily on the other end of the phone. “Jane! Williams! Great news! Wonderful news!! Agnes is having twins! You are going to be grandparents! I am going to be a great-grandmother!! Our family is getting two new babies at once!!”
Agnes could feel her grandmother’s joy even through the phone, making her heart sweeten.
Grandma’s voice was loud enough that Tom, who was driving, heard it too. The man had a gentle and handsome smile on his lips throughout.
At almost 40 years old, hearing that he was going to be a father brought him indescribable joy-more than landing a multi-million dollar deal ever could.
Agnes told Grandma that they were on their way home.
Grandma happily reminded them to drive safely and slowly before ending the call.
Agnes then called Mr. Campbell and Mrs. Campbell to share the news of her twin pregnancy. Mr. Campbell and Mrs. Campbell were also extremely happy.
In the following days, Agnes became even more cherished by the Fritz family, receiving meticulous care and attention.
Agnes felt overwhelmed by their affection but remained particularly independent and never spoiled. Her relationship with Tom continued to deepen; he treated her like a daughter.
In return, she showed her love for him in every detail. Every time Tom came home from work, she would greet him at the living room door with hugs and kisses, expressing how much she missed him.
“Love you, kitty~”
During this time, Taylor had become quite capable at Charity Medical Center.
“Migraine is a recurring moderate pulsating headache primarily on one side of the head with uncertain duration. It may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light and sound,” Taylor explained patiently in his white coat when questioned by a patient’s family member in the ward.
“Yes, yes, that’s exactly it. Doctor, what tests do you think she needs?”
