~YULIA
I had never been to a place like this before.
I was wracked with anxiety and excitement plus a little fear because I had no idea how tonight was going to end. I was not even scared when these big burly men approached me with hunger in their eyes. I felt revolted by the way they were leering at me with their lust filled eyes.
However, I was not afraid of them, they were humans and I was not. I could even take them on even if they decided to try anything. But that was not going to be the case tonight.
I looked at their jacket to see if they were part of the motorcycle gang I was looking for but they were not.
“Who is blind enough to leave you all by yourself on a night like this?” The one to my left drawled.
His breath stank of alcohol and I suppressed a gag. He was leaning on the wall by my left while his partner in crime was to my right.
I shrugged. “I came alone, I am just looking for a good time,” I said, giving my best innocent smile.
“Well, you are in the right place, darling, what is your name?”
“Yulia, what’s yours,” I asked him.
“My friends call me Skinner and my friend here is called Wrench,” The man replied.
“Skinner and Wrench, sounds like a title for a movie, don’t you think?” I said with a slight frown of humour.
“You aren’t the first person to say that to us, Yulia,” Wrench said as he inched closer. He smelled of booze mixed with sweat and gasoline.
“You come around here a lot?” I asked.
“You bet,” Skinner said.
“Although, I can not say the same about you, Yulia, I know all the pretty faces around here but I can tell you that I am seeing yours for the first time,” Wrench said.
“It is my first time, although I found this place by accident riding through,” I said.
I wanted to give them the impression that I was alone. That I had no one. I wanted them to believe that I was defenceless and lost. A silly girl that had no idea what she was doing or how much danger she was in.
“You are a biker girl?” Wrench asked in disbelief while Sinner raised his eyebrows in surprise. I nodded and batted my eyelashes.
“So, Yulia,” Skinner said. “What exactly are you looking for tonight?”
“You would not believe me if I told you,” I said and pretended to sip my drink.
“Try us,” Skinner said.
I looked around and pretended like I did not want anyone knowing or hearing what I was about to say.
“I am in search of Dark Magic; you know who or where I can get some?” I whispered.
Skinner and Wrench looked at each other then shook their heads. I believed they thought I was some crazy girl who was just bored.
“Um, we don’t know much about Dark Magic but we can make your night magical,” Wrench said with a crooked smile.
Yuck. This was a waste of time. These two perverts were useless and were only interested in one thing that they were never going to get.
“That’s too bad, I was really hoping you would know someone, but that’s okay, I will find someone who does,” I said as I pushed off the wall.
I could see the panic in their eyes. They were about to lose me.
“Now, hold a minute,” Skinner said, grabbing my hands. “You can’t just leave after flirting with us like that,” His hands were clammy and moist, and I fought the urge to pull away.
“Yeah,” Wrench said and eased closer. “You have got to make it worth our time, Yulia,” He sneered and licked his lips hungrily.
“And what if I don’t want to make it worth your time?” I asked.
“Honey, look around, you don’t have much of a choice, who is going to stop us from making you do what we want, magic girl?” Skinner asked and they both chuckled darkly.
“I think you are both forgetting something,” I said as I braced myself.
“What is it?” Skinner asked.
“I am holding a glass of whiskey,” I said and before they could reply, I aimed the cold alcohol directly into the eyes of Skinner.
He jerked his head back as the whiskey burned his eyes. With the cup still in my hand I pivoted to the left and smashed it into the face of Wrench. He yelped in pain as the glass punctured his face and nose.
I turned back to Skinner and my right knee went up his balls. His legs gave out and he let go of my hand to cradle his broken balls as he fell sideways onto the sticky floors. He groaned loudly as he rolled on the floor in pain.
“Argh! My eyes,” Wrench yelled as he pulled out a long shard of glass out of his punctured right eyes. The eye was damaged beyond repair. “You bitch!” He yelled as he glared at me with his remaining good eyes.
I kicked him hard with all my strength in between his legs and it forced him to jump from the force before he landed hard on his back.
He was knocked out and I realized that he was still human and I had kicked him extremely hard. To my surprise, no one reacted or even paid much attention. Everyone just went about their business. It was as if violence and bloodshed was a normal thing.
I watched as men and women stepped over Skinner and Wrench like they were mere pieces of furniture. I looked over at Issa who was watching me intently while the women around him sat way too close to him.
“You are one feisty girl, I will give you that,” A male voice said.
I turned to look at who it was and I almost froze with shock. It was one of them. One of the men we were looking for.
“Welcome to Death Valley, I am Austin Jordan and The Sons of the Darkness could use a woman like you,” The man said and extended his right hand for a shake.
Austin Jordan, the rapist.
“Call me Yulia,” I said with a smile and took his hand firmly. “Tell me more about this Dark club of yours.”
I was in.
