Yulia’s breast was distracting as I rode through the barren road.
I loved the way they vibrated against my back. I loved the way her arms wrapped around my body. I loved the way her breath felt on my neck.
I should use the motorcycle more.
It was pitch-black out here in the city outskirts, and we rode through it like fireflies floating through the dark. Here, the law simply did not exist, I could vividly smell the stench of death on these barren corpse-filled land as we rode on.
I realized that I had forgotten to lay out the plans on what to do when we got to our destination. That was a lie, I deliberately ignored the plan because I preferred to react to whatever happened as we went. I loved to improvise because I had first-hand experience on plans not working out. Besides, we were dealing with dark magic here and there was nothing predictable about that kind of magic.
I saw the lights in the darkness far ahead of the road. Death Valley loomed ahead of us. The road ahead curved hard to the right and far deep at the head of the curve stood the infamous night bar of The Sons of Darkness.
As we rode nearer, I saw that it was a very big bar with a petrol station right before it. Motorcycles were parked in a long straight line, side by side, their shining rims and silver polished engines gleaming under the crescent moon. There were over sixty parked outside. It seemed like it was a full house tonight.
I pulled my bike to a stop and parked alongside the other bikes. Miles and Jamal did the same.
“I am beginning to think that this may have been a bad idea,” Miles said as he looked towards the bar. There were people outside with bottles in their hand, beer cans were littered around the ground and rock music blared out into the night.
Men in black leather jackets and Bandanas with heavily tattooed and pierced women littered the entire front dancing and swaying to the music.
“You sound scared,” I replied with a smile.
“There are lots of people here, Issa,” Jamal replied. “Surely you are not thinking that you can take all of them on.”
“Not all of them are Sons of the Dark, there are also other biker gangs present too,” I replied as I got down from my bike. I helped Yulia get down as she jumped down and landed lightly on her feet.
“This place is a no man’s land for biker gangs, it is where different members can come and get away to have a good time,” I added.
“Yeah, it really is a party,” Yulia said as she watched the whole thing.
“We need a plan,” Jamal said.
“Blend in,” I replied and grabbed Yulia by the waist. Here I was not worried about anyone knowing if we were mated or not.
We walked ahead until we got closer to the music and people. The air was filled with sweat, booze and sex. I could almost taste the debauchery that filled the whole place.
“How are we going to find those men?” Yulia asked as we entered the bar.
“That is easy, they know what you look like, we just let them come to you,” I told her.
They have tried to kidnap her before, so I was certain someone here would recognize her.
“What about you? Don’t they recognize you?” Yulia asked with worry.
“They have no idea who I am, I made sure of that,” I replied.
Although, I was still trying to find out how they tracked Marianna. She had always been very careful and even more paranoid than I was.
“Two whiskeys on the rocks,” I said as we both got to the bartender.
He was a bald-headed man who had a ginger bushy beard, clad in a sleeveless leather jacket over a dirty white shirt. He had a mixture of red and white inked tattoos running up and down both his arms.
“Coming up,” He said in a gruff manner and turned away from us.
“You have a few admirers,” Yulia whispered to me with a mischievous smile.
I looked at where she glanced and saw a few attractive women sitting by the bar, giving me seductive smiles and wink.
“Too bad, the only biker girl I have my eyes on is you,” I replied as I looked away from them.
The women came over. I sensed Yulia leaving me and I turned to her with a questioning glare.
“Blend in,” She whispered and winked at me before she took her drink and joined the crowd of bystanders in the bar. She was being proactive and I hated it.
The women were three in number and they all looked almost identical. They had on the typical biker girl attire. Leather skirts, leather boots, deeply dyed black hair, facial and tongue piercings, and vivid intricate tattoos on their arms, face, thighs and legs.
Yulia was right, If I wanted this to work, I needed to blend in. I gave them my most dazzling of smiles as they neared me.
“I have not seen you around here before,” One of them said. “First time?” She was undressing me with her eyes as she spoke.
“How can you tell?” I asked.
She shrugged. “We are very good with faces, and yours is definitely new,” She replied.
“I am on an adventure,” I replied with a playful smile. “Just riding through,” I added.
They smiled widely. “So, you are not staying long?” Another one asked, giving me her best seductive smile.
“If I see anything worthwhile, I could change my mind,” I replied with a shrug.
The third one adjusted her skimpy clothes pushing her breast up. “See anything you like, yet?” She whispered.
I chuckled. “The night is still young,” I replied as I looked around.
Yulia was leaning by a wall and two men were leering at her as they closed in. She had a confident and inviting smile on her face. It made me suddenly nervous but I knew that I had to trust her.
After all, she was just being the bait.
