“I could not help but overhear you talking to those poor men about Dark Magic,” Jordan said.
He looked every bit like the predator he was. Oily black hair smoothened to the back, eyes that were brown and devoid of warmth, and an arrogant gait.
“You were eavesdropping,” I pouted playfully.
“Guilty as charged,” He said with a playful shrug. He licked his lips and looked at me from head to toe. “What did you say your name was again, darling?” He asked and I knew that he wanted to confirm who I was.
I had a feeling that he already knew who I was.
“I never told you my name,” I said with a shrug. “Not until you tell me about this biker gang of yours,” I added.
“Fair enough,” He said with a slight nod. “You mind joining us at the VIP section, Miss?” He asked and jerked his thumb at the upper floor of the bar. There I could see the rest of his motorcycle crew.
“Depends if you are more of a gentleman than those two on the floor,” I replied.
“Oh, I can assure you, Miss, we do not bite unless you give us permission,” Jordan said.
He was lying. If he really cared about permission, he would not have been sentenced to prison for sexual assault, but I did not tell him that.
“Lead the way, Jordan,” I said.
The rapist led me up the stairs and I followed. I looked back at Skinner and Wrench only to see with a bit surprise that they were still on the floor with nobody paying them any attention.
“Do not worry about them, somebody will throw them out soon enough,” Jordan the Rapist said.
He led me to a table where three of his partners in crime were seated with a bottle of beer in their hands. I instantly recognized them from the file. I took a seat amongst them with a friendly smile plastered on my face.
“This cute little lady is called…” Jordan began and looked at me.
“Yulia, Yulia Moonshadow,” I said and saw them react but it was so subtle that I almost did not catch it.
My wolf ears caught the quickening of their pulses as their hearts beat in excitement while a smell assailed my nose. Adrenaline. They were all oozing with it that I almost gagged.
“Yulia,” Jordan began as he took a seat. “These are my brothers in arms. The guy with the mohawk is called Gaines,” He said.
Connely Gaines. Manslaughter. I recalled. “Hello,” I said and he nodded with a smile.
“The guy in dark glasses, even though he is inside is Stones,” Jordan pointed to the guy.
“Lovely to meet you,” Stones said in a deep broken voice. I remembered him as the ex-military biker.
“I am Verne,” The third guy said and extended his hand.
I took his hand and shook it firmly. Verne. The Dirty disgraced cop.
I wondered if they were aware that I was unto them.
“How about we buy you a drink, Yulia and we can have a nice chat,” Jordan said.
“I would love that,” I answered.
Jordan nodded to Stones, and the ex-military man got up to get the drink.
Verne was looking at me like I was a suspect. “So, you just happened to come here looking for Magic?” He asked.
Once a cop, always a cop.
“Not really,” I replied. “I ran away from home after my mom passed away, I just wanted to leave and start over somewhere else, anywhere but home, so I got on my bike and just kept on riding,” I said.
“Going wherever the road takes you,” Gaines said as he nodded his head in approval. “Like a true rider, I like that.”
Stones came back with a cold glass of alcohol. “Whiskey on the rocks,” Stones said and gently placed it in front of me.
I knew something had been put in the drink. My nose caught it immediately. I was so disgusted and I knew it was Jordan’s idea.
“I would like to propose a toast if you don’t mind,” Jordan said as he raised his bear. The others did the same. I raised my cup and waited.
“To new things and being on the road,” Jordan said and the others echoed his last words.
“Is this how you do it? I asked as I placed my cup down. I could see the worry on Verne’s face.
“Do what?” Jordan asked with clear confusion as he took a drink from his bottle.
“Rape those girls after you send Mr. Stone here to put something in their drinks,” I replied.
Jordan choked on his drink and sputtered out the rest as the bottle slid off his fingers.
The rest of his crew looked around in fear.
“It’s okay, I came alone,” I said. “I know you are looking for me.” I said in a calm manner.
I felt a cold metal press against my side. Stone removed his glasses and glared at me as he held the gun to my waist.
“Nice and easy, you will stand up and we will take this outside,” He said in a cold low voice. I nodded and did as he said.
“I don’t know if it was bravery or stupidity that made you come here,” Jordan said. “But you just made our job so easy, we are going to get paid so good for this, after I have had my fun of course.”
“I need to make a call to the clients,” Verne said as he pulled out his phone.
“Are you sure you came alone?” Gaines asked as he peered around the bar looking for anything out of the ordinary.
“You sound worried,” I taunted.
“She is got a mouth on her, I can not wait to fuck it,” Jordan said with a dark chuckle.
“The Client said she remains untouched,” Stones said.
“I am not going to hurt her, Stones, just fuck her, calm down,” Jordan said with a dirty smile.
