He suddenly increased his force, and the feeling of suffocation followed.
“Even if something happens, Jamir will find a way to get you out, won’t he?”
Nelson approached, his lips pressed against her jaw, almost whispering in her ear. Callie’s back felt cold, and she couldn’t breathe. “Who gave you the video?”
“I told you,” Nelson saw her face turn red and slightly loosened his grip. “Jamir and Owen are partners.”
It was Jamir…
Callie was reluctant to believe it. Not long ago, he had said he could help her.
Seeing the calculating look in her eyes, Nelson quickly guessed what she was thinking. He sneered, “You’re so naive. Do you really think you can make Jamir bow before you? You’re too conceited.”
He said these words with anger; he was furious.
Callie tilted her head back, grabbing his wrist, trying to break free.
“My ex-wife is very capable. Every man around her is a big shot.” Nelson curled his lips in mockery. “But she’s not very smart, which is why everyone uses her. How can she realize that I am her only support?”
Just listening to him made Callie feel suffocated.
When Nelson went mad, he wouldn’t stop until he was satisfied.
“Really? You take Charlotte to important events, aren’t you publicly announcing that the future Mrs. Oconnor is her?” Callie looked at him, enunciating each word.
“Aren’t you also someone who will do anything for profit?”
Nelson’s eyes were deep and unreadable. He pressed her chin, forcing her to open her mouth. “Such a sharp tongue. Has Jamir kissed it?”
“You!”
“Your piano skills were taught by him.” It was a statement, with a calmness before the storm.
“What else did he teach you?” The man’s hand, adorned with prayer beads, slowly moved downward, mixing slowness with roughness.
The sound of a zipper being pulled down.
Callie screamed and bit his hand hard. “Nelson! You beast!”
Nelson showed no mercy. He knew where she was most sensitive and applied extra pressure there. Seeing her complex expression of shame and defiance, he chuckled softly. “Has Jamir seen you like this? Probably not. Your first time was with me.”
“Nelson! I will really call the police!” Callie could hardly breathe. She bit his hand hard enough, but he didn’t let go.
Upon hearing this, his hand sank deeper. “Callie, don’t use the tricks others taught you on me. I find it dirty!”
“We’re divorced. You have no right to control me anymore.” Callie took deep breaths, like a fish out of water.
“Your body reaction is honest.” Nelson looked at her.
Callie closed her eyes in frustration; her body was his to control, and she couldn’t even manage it herself.
After an unknown amount of time, she trembled all over, and Nelson finally released her, wiping his fingers clean with a piece of paper, “Even divorced, you are still my woman.”
Callie’s teeth chattered, unable to utter a single word.
He opened the car door, “Once we return to Ylosea, I’ll give you a gift.”
The night breeze blew in, dispersing the scent of their encounter. Callie cooled down from the intense heat and shivered.
She stumbled out of the car, looking at him as if he were a demon, “Beast.”
Nelson was unperturbed. The driver had gotten back into the car, and he said, “Drive.”
The car sped away, its exhaust vanishing in a swirl. Callie’s body felt weak, and she wished she could kill Nelson.
