Ulric, of course, couldn’t guarantee that.
He knew his friend well, and he hadn’t been serious in years! It surprised Ulric that he was so concerned about Tilda.
It seemed like Tilda was the only one who could make Johnny genuinely serious.
But as for how long Johnny’s interest would last, that was uncertain.
He was still like a child himself, and so was Tilda. Even if they were together, it might not last until marriage.
Rosalind replied to Tilda’s message.
“He should be your type. Go and take a look. You have to get to know each other before deciding whether it’s suitable or not. It’s not just about looks.”
Tilda sent her a shy expression.
“Oh, dear, I might finally be someone with a boyfriend in the future! Hahaha… My dad finally did something reliable and introduced me to a handsome guy! They say he’s 182 cm tall, just returned from starting a business overseas, has a house and a car in Northville City, and earns over a million dollars a year.”
“That’s not bad.”
Tilda sent many LOL emojis. “Arranged dates set up by parents are great. The guy’s family background is thoroughly investigated! But… I can’t help but worry that he might not find me appealing.”
Because her job wasn’t stable, and her salary wasn’t high. Although she was the only child, she didn’t come from a wealthy family. Moreover, she considered her looks to be quite ordinary.
Tilda sent a sighing emoji. “Rosalind, if only I had your face! I’d definitely charm him!”
Rosalind instinctively glanced at Ulric upon reading that. Luckily, he wasn’t looking her way. Otherwise, he would probably get jealous.
Lately, he had been a bit possessive…
“I think you’re great. Don’t feel inferior,” she replied.
“OK! I’ll get ready for the blind date! First, I need to take a shower and then buy a new outfit at the mall! My dad is really eager. He wants me to meet him tonight. The time and place are all set, so I’ve got to make myself look good.”
“Go for it! I hope you find happiness.”
Putting away her phone, Rosalind sighed in relief.
Even though she wasn’t sure if it would work out, at least it meant Tilda was ready to take a step forward, which eased some of Rosalind’s guilt.

The head of Prosperity Holdings arrived, carrying several boxes of various sizes.
Since Mr. Chow had spoken up, he had to get things right!
When he reached Tilda’s parents’ house, the head knocked on the door, and Tilda’s dad answered. “Who are you?”
“Hello, Mr. Walters. Is this Tilda Walters’ home?”
“Yes.”
“I’m the head of Prosperity Holdings and was once her supervisor! I’m here to speak with Miss Walters privately about the possibility of her returning to work with us!”
Tilda’s father looked at the gifts he was carrying, seeming to appreciate the sincerity, especially since his daughter had indeed worked at Prosperity Holdings before.
However…
“My daughter isn’t home right now.”
The man’s heart sank, and he feared he might not be able to explain the situation to Johnny waiting outside. “Could you tell me when she might return?”
Tilda’s dad wore a cheerful expression, a smile never leaving his lips. “That’s uncertain. She went shopping with her mother and has a blind date tonight. You know how girls are-they need to dress up for an occasion. She’ll probably be out for a while. Maybe you could come back tomorrow?”
In the end, Tilda’s father didn’t accept the gifts.
As the head walked down the stairs, Johnny immediately got out of the car and strode over. “Where is she?”
“Tilda’s dad said she… she’s going on a blind date and isn’t home.”
