It couldn’t be anyone else.
“Why?”
Rosalind looked into his eyes. His eyes were deep and clear, without a trace of impurity. She knew he wasn’t lying.
But why?
What exactly did she possess that made him act this way?
“I don’t know the answer either.”
If he knew the answer, he wouldn’t have been stuck for so many years.
Rosalind could sense that Ulric wanted to ask her the same question, but he ultimately remained silent.
He didn’t dare.
He was afraid that the answer wouldn’t be what he wanted.
This topic was too heavy, and Rosalind didn’t want to delve any further.
She lowered her head to find her phone and discovered an unread message.
It was from Tilda.
As soon as she opened it, a photo of a guy popped up.
Ulric noticed it immediately and furrowed his brows. “What does she mean by sending you a photo of a guy?”
Rosalind sighed and handed her phone to Ulric, showing him the conversation. “Don’t misunderstand, okay? She asked me if he’s handsome and said she wants to go on a blind date with him.”
“She wants to go on a blind date?”
“Yeah.” Rosalind nodded and carefully examined the guy in the photo.
The man in the photo had a decent appearance, around the same age as Tilda. He might not be stunningly handsome, but his looks were above average.
He should be Tilda’s type. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have sent it to her!
Rosalind was about to zoom in on the guy’s facial features when someone abruptly snatched her phone away!
She looked up and met Ulric’s displeased gaze.
“How much longer are you going to look?”
“Are you getting jealous over this too?”
“What’s there to look at? He’s Tilda’s blind date, not yours.” Ulric turned off her phone and set it aside. “You won’t have any blind date opportunities in your lifetime.”
Rosalind smiled helplessly and took the initiative to hold Ulric’s arm, shaking it. “I promise you, I will never go on a blind date in my life. Okay? Don’t get jealous. It doesn’t fit your image as a CEO.”
“So what if I’m a CEO? I’m a human being, and I have feelings too. You stare at other men’s photos, and I don’t even have the right to feel uncomfortable?”
“No, no, no. You do! I won’t look anymore. I’ll delete it.” Rosalind promptly deleted the photo without hesitation. “I just wanted to show some concern for Tilda. Over these years, because of me, she has been delayed in dating and getting married. Now that she wants to go on a blind date, I can’t just ignore it.”
If it weren’t for her entrusting Tilda with taking care of Floyd, Tilda might have already found a boyfriend!
Rosalind always felt that Tilda and Malcolm hadn’t pursued romantic relationships because of her.
When Ulric noticed she deleted the photo, he chose not to press the issue further.
“So if the blind date goes well, Tilda might be getting married soon?” he ventured.
“Who can say for sure?” Rosalind replied, her fingers still typing. “With her personality, a whirlwind wedding isn’t out of the question.”
Ulric’s expression faltered for a moment, and after a brief pause, he asked, “What do you think about Tilda and Johnny? Is there a chance there?”
Rosalind immediately halted her typing and looked up at him. “You know better than I do what kind of person Johnny is.”
“Do you really think he can settle down and build a family with Tilda? I can see he’s interested in her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t keep bringing her up or even come back from abroad to find her. But how long can that interest last? Who can say for certain?”
