Chapter 1795: Support

Book:My Ex-husband Regretted To End The Marriage Published:2025-2-13

Camille looked at Brody with a faint expression, her lips slightly pursed as she waited for his response.
From some of Brody’s words, she could gather some information.
Ayan had met with him and discussed this matter, which meant her guess was correct.
She took a silent breath, trying to appear calm and composed. After all, Brody was a perceptive person who could easily read someone’s thoughts based on their facial expressions.
This process lasted for more than ten seconds. During those ten seconds, Camille’s gaze remained fixed on Brody without wavering for even half a second. She wanted to catch every change in Brody’s expression and receive his response as soon as possible.
After more than ten seconds, Brody spoke in a calm tone, “Since Ayan has already told you everything you need to know, is there any point in you coming to ask me? Did you come here because he wanted you to?”
“Does it matter?” Camille snorted and said indifferently, “Of course, you can choose not to tell me because I have no right to force you. But the only thing I can do is find out for myself. Once I have a clear understanding, I will tell Ayan that I hate the Armstrong family, I hate you, and I hate Grace. I want everything related to the Armstrong family to disappear from Hance City!”
Camille’s lips curled slightly, her face filled with a threatening demeanor. These words were based on how she had been treated by the Armstrong family over the years.
After speaking, she simply looked at Brody expressionlessly.
Brody remained silent and just looked at Camille. He felt an inexplicable feeling from her, a feeling that reminded him of Ayan.
The weight of these words was no less than when that man spoke harshly.
He couldn’t help but think about the time Ayan had given him. In a few days, he would have to give Ayan an answer.
Should he cooperate or not?
Brody silently took a breath and spoke in a low voice, “Camille, you can resent me and your mom for treating you poorly, but Grace is innocent. She hasn’t done anything wrong to you.”
“Tit for tat. Have you heard this phrase before?”
“You…”
Brody was taken aback, his expression particularly heavy because of Camille’s words and her current demeanor. He had never seen her like this before.
With a stern face, he looked at Camille and asked, “What do you want?”
“I want to know everything.”
“I don’t know much.”
“I don’t care. I want to know what I want to know.”
Camille spoke indifferently. She knew Brody well and understood his temperament and character. Only if someone was more ruthless than him would he truly feel intimidated; Otherwise, Brody would not yield.
Camille stood up from her chair and looked down at Brody. Her voice was cold as she said, “You have two minutes to think about it. If I don’t get the answer I want after two minutes, I will do everything possible to make Armstrong Corp and the Armstrong family disappear from Hance City. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that Grace is getting married to Horace! Horace would be a decent son-in-law since his background is good enough to take on the role of general manager at Armstrong Corp. But if something unexpected happens, then this marriage probably won’t continue.”
“But if you really care about Grace, you should know how to make the right choice Besides, your son is already grown up and there aren’t many people who know where he is. I happen to be one of them! So now I have another trump card. I can choose not to deal with Grace since we have spent quite some time together and there is some connection between us. Instead, I can directly deal with your son, who has no connection with me!”
“He has good grades but lacks courage. Combined with what happened in the Armstrong family, he’s quite vulnerable now”
“You-”
Camille said a lot. The more she spoke, the darker Brody’s expression became until it was as cold as ice.
Camille saw all the emotions in Brody’s eyes. Based on her understanding of him, she knew his mind was in chaos because of what she had said. After all, he had gone to great lengths to hide his son for many years just to have a son. Although he ended up in prison, her son was still alive. Moreover, he also had a chance to get out of prison eventually. Even if he grew older by then, it would still be worth it.
Camille went through all of Brody’s thoughts because she understood him so well that she knew everything about him.
Even if he didn’t want to cooperate or say another word, Camille had plenty of ways to deal with him.
Camille glanced at the time on her wrist and casually reminded him, “Alright, time’s up. Have you made up your mind?”
“Give me an answer. Do you want to tell me? Of course, you can remain silent, and I can do whatever I want!”
“Camille, although we haven’t been good parents to you, Your grandfather has treated you well. Without his insistence, do you think you could marry Ayan and enjoy everything now? And what about your grandma? Have you forgotten about her kindness? If it weren’t for her, do you think you would still be alive?”
Brody tried to use the same method as Camille did to influence her-to make her show some mercy towards the Armstrong family-so that she wouldn’t rush into destroying everything.
If the Armstrong family were really destroyed beyond repair, then he would truly have nothing left after getting out of here.
What would be the point of getting out then?
Armstrong Corp would also be brought down because of him. Just the thought of it made him feel scared!
Her grandfather and grandmother were both very important to Camille.
If Brody hadn’t brought them up, Camille wouldn’t have been so angry. But now, the fact that Brody dared to use her grandfather and grandmother as bargaining chips was enough to make Camille lose her patience.
Her grandfather, though elderly, was still the head of the Armstrong family and had a good relationship with the old Simpsons, so Brody certainly wouldn’t dare to show him any disrespect. He treated her grandfather far better than he treated her grandmother.
Her grandmother was the most pitiful yet the person who had always treated her the best.
She snorted softly and glared at Brody. “You treat my grandmother worse than a stranger, and that’s only because she has no ties to you. More importantly, because no one supports her, you feel free to act without restraint. My grandmother has always cared for me, so it’s only right that I do something for her in return. Since you brought it up, let me make myself clear. You don’t need to answer my question. Just for my grandmother’s sake, I won’t let the Armstrong family off the hook!”
When Camille finished speaking, she walked out without hesitation.
Brody wanted to follow but his hands and feet were shackled to the chair. He shouted desperately, “Camille! Camille!”
“I’ll tell you! Come in! I’m willing to talk!”
Brody shouted but received no response whatsoever. He felt desperate.
Outside the door stood Camille quietly with a smile on her face. She lightly bit her lip without intending to go inside immediately.
The prison guard who arranged their meeting knew Camille well enough since they had met before. He asked softly, “Ms. Armstrong, are you still going inside?”
