“Neither can I.”She whispered back and gave him one of her sexy smiles.
An hour and a half later she was sitting with Cathy inside the house drinking tea.
“You’re glowing and look very happy.”She told Reina.
She smiled at her.”That’s because I am my friend.”
“You’re in love Reina and it makes me so happy that you’ve finally found someone who can make you smile like this.”
“Thank you. For being supportive and never leaving my side, he does make me happy Cath I don’t think I can live without him. I don’t care how rich or well known he is I love the way he makes me feel, the way he touches me so gently, his caresses, his kisses when he makes love to me. I didn’t think I would ever experience this feelings and emotions it’s all new and exciting and every moment that I spend with him I fall deeper and deeper in love.”
“If he breaks your heart or hurt you in any way I’m going to strangle him with my bare hands.”Both of them laughed together.
“How are things between you and Logan?”She asked after they had laughed it off.
“We’re still going strong and I’m happy but I called you here for a reason.”Cathy confessed.
“I’m listening I heard from your tone over the phone that something is up, that’s why I didn’t hesitate to come.”
“I’ve been thinking of accepting Logan’s marriage proposal.”
Reina smiled at her.”That’s fantastic what changed your mind.”
“You actually. I’ve seen how happy and in love you and Nicolas are, you’re engaged and expecting a baby soon you’ll be a happy family living a great life, and I want that too with the man that I love so why wait.”
“Life is all about taking chances and risks, isn’t it?”
“Yes it is.”She said. Even she has taken a big risk by letting Nico in and giving him that power to hurt her and she knows he’ll shatter her and what scares her is that she won’t be able to recover from it. She can only hope that one day he’ll love her. Cathy grabbed her hand to bring her back to earth.
“You okay?”
“Certainly. So have you told him.”She said instead to distract Cathy.
“No I’m going to talk to him tonight I just wanted to tell you first and hear what you’ll say.”
“I’m happy for you and you know I’ll always stand by you.”
“Thanks. Also….. I’m moving out.”
“What!”Reina said surprisingly.”How did your parents take the news.”
“As expected. Not well it’s hard being the only child they just can’t let go but eventually they gave in and saw that their little girl isn’t little anymore.”
“When am I seeing the new place.”
“No need I’m moving in with Logan you know he has his own condo.”
“If you need anything from me let me know and don’t forget to give me an update on how everything will go tonight.”
“I’ll let you know but enough about me have you decided on a wedding date yet.”
“No yet.”She wanted to tell Cathy so badly that she has gotten married but she has agreed not to say anything.”I think it will happen after Bella has gotten married.”
“Don’t forget I’m your maid of honor and I want you to design my dress no arguments.”
“I’m the one getting married but you are picky.”
Cathy laughed.”How do you know me?”
“Being bossy.”She replied.
“I hope we understand each other.”
“Yes ma’am.”Reina said and also laughed.
“Where is that sexy fiance of yours, you do know today is the first time I’ve seen him and only a glimpse at that when will I meet him properly.”
“I’ll give a proper introduction he’s coming to pick me up.”
“Where are you going? I was wondering why you are looking so beautiful in your white jump suit.”
Nicolas had made a quick stop at a boutique and bought the jump suit for her, saying she can’t meet Cathy in her dress it might make her suspicious and that will lead to questions.
She had called him paranoid and wore it, he had informed her that he’ll release a statement about her pregnancy and also hold a press conference to answer any questions and he wants her there.
“We having a press conference about the pregnancy, you’ve seen how everyone has been speculating and making their own assumptions about it.”
“I have but don’t worry it will all blow over in no time. You know them soon they’ll have something else to talk about.”
“I hope so I hate the fact that my life is all over the media and that people can make decisions about it based on their own opinions.”
“What about your job? I mean you are about to marry the man who owns it.”
“I’m going to resign on Monday and he’s going to give his sister the company.”
“That’s huge than there’s no need to quit.”
“I have to I don’t want people to draw up their own conclusions and call it nepotism, besides I’ve been thinking of opening up my own clothing store you know that I don’t know where I’m going to get the capital for it but I’ll be looking for another job after my resignation.”
“Why don’t you ask Nicolas I’m sure he would have no problem in helping you.”
“No… no… certainly not. I don’t want him to have his own ideas I’ve always stood on my own two feet without needing anyone else’s help I’ll find a way don’t worry and please don’t tell anyone.”
Cathy shook her head.”You cannot always do everything alone but I know how stubborn you are and your secret is safe with me.”Her cell beeped and she saw it’s a text from Nico saying there has been a change of plans and he’s on his way to pick her up.”Something wrong.”Cathy asked.
She shook her head.”It’s Nico he’s on his way.”
“Seems he can’t stay away from you.”She said amused.”How is he in bed? With his sex appeal I’m sure he doesn’t disappoint he looks like he knows how to satisfy and keep a woman happy, I guess that’s why the women can’t stay away from him.”
“Cathy that’s enough but to kill your curiosity he’s beyond incredible and amazing in bed.”
“You lucky fish! If I didn’t love Logan the way that I did I would be green with envy right now.”
“Then it’s my luck that you are.”Reina said and stood up. Her cell beeped again and she quickly glanced at the text.”I’ve gotta go now Nico is outside.”She grabbed her purse and left with Cathy following behind her, once at the gate she saw he has come alone and is driving his Audi r8. She heard Cathy’s sharp intake of breath upon seeing the car that had been her reaction at first too.
“Wow…”She said so that only Reina could hear.”When are you taking me for a drive?”
Reina smiled at her.”Not anytime soon. You know I hate driving fast cars, besides I don’t have my licence.”
