“Such a spoiler.”She told her.
Nico smoothly got out of the drivers seat she noticed he’s wearing a different suit than before a navy blue one. He looked all handsome and ready for business. Once at the car she properly introduced both of them.
“Nice to officially meet you Mr Garcia.”Cathy said with a big smile and Reina could see that she’s charmed, but who wouldn’t be Nico is a good looking man and it’s not his fault that all women find him attractive.
“You too. Call me Nico please”He replied and shook her hand in return.”Ready.”He asked Reina and she nodded.
She gave Cathy a hug and a kiss.”Call me.”
“I will.”She said.”He’s even sexier in person.”She whispered softly.
“I didn’t realise.”She lied.”I love you. Bye.”
Cathy laughed softly.”Love you too bye-bye.
She walked over to the passenger side and he open up the door for her, she climbed in and buckled up. Seconds later he joined her and they sped off. He’s quiet for a while and she wonders if something’s wrong.
“I need to leave for Berlin tonight.”He finally said.
“Okay.”She said.”Is everything okay.”
“Yes. But something needs my attention urgently and I’ll be gone for three days, probably longer.”
She is numb, he’ll be gone for that long how will she survive the next coming days, it will be hell.”I’ll go back home.”
“Do you have a passport?”He asked shocking her. He gave her a questioning look when she didn’t answer.
“No.”She finally managed.
“It’s fine I’ll get you one within the next hour. I’ll need your identification. Do you have it?”
“Why?”She asked in a daze.
“You didn’t really think that I’ll leave without you did you?”
“As a matter of fact I did.”She told him.
“I’m not. Now your ID where is it.”
“At home. I mean at your home.”
“My home is your home.”He corrected her.
“What if I don’t wanna go.”She said.
He shot her a quick glance that said she can’t fool him.”You forget I know you corazon.”He told her grinning.
“Such arrogance.”She mumbled.”We are married now will my identification work I mean I will be using your surname now.”
“Your new ID won’t be ready in time. You’ll only be using this one for now as soon as your new identification is issued we’ll change it again.”
“Your office. What are we doing here?”She asked after a while when she saw them pulling up at Garcia holdings.
“Conference or have you forgotten about it. I want it done before we gonna leave and afterwards I want to talk to you.” He parked in his private space.”What about?”
“Not now.”He got out and came to open up her side but she did it herself, a few minutes later they were both standing inside the lobby talking to the media and giving an update about her pregnancy. Yes she is pregnant and yes he’s the father since most of them had thought it’s a ploy to trap him. They’ll be getting married after his sister’s wedding and he would appreciate it if they would keep their private life out of the media from now on or there will be consequences.
“No questions.”He said.”I’ve already said what I wanted to say.”
He grabbed her by the arm and led her to the elevator, once they were inside and going up to his office he kissed her fiercely and only pulled away when he heard the ping of the doors opening, she swayed a little when he let go and held onto him.
“I’ve been wanting do that all day.”He said smiling. In a daze she followed him to his office. There was a woman sitting outside his office in the lobby and she looked sophisticated and professional in her two piece suit with he hair up in a tight bun and heels, she wondered who it was.
“Your two o’clock is here sir.”His assistant said when she saw him.
“Send her through.”
“What did you wanna talk about.”She asked again when they were inside his office. But then a knock came from the door and the woman she had seen outside entered.
“Mr Garcia. Ma’am.”She greeted.
“Hello.”She greeted back.
He came to stand next to her and placed his arm around her.”Corazon, this is Miss Nicole Miller and she will be your new PR assistant whatever your heart desires or need she’ll take care it.”
She faced him shock and disbelief all over her face she didn’t know how to react or what to say her mind is reeling over the fact that she will be having her own assistant.”No need to look so shocked you’re gonna need one especially since you’ve become my wife.”
“Can you excuse us for a minute.”She told the woman and she left.”What’s going on here? And who said I needed an assistant I’m capable of running my life.”She moved away from him.
“No one said you couldn’t and aren’t able to, but trust me with my busy lifestyle and schedules you gonna need an assistant to keep you up to date on everything.”He walked over to where she’s standing near the window and put his hands on her shoulders.
“I didn’t sign up for this.”She said softly.”I guess being married to you will be hard work at this point I won’t need a job.”
He chuckled.”You making it sound as if being married to me is a terrible thing, and I wouldn’t mind if you can stop working but I know what your answer will be that’s why for now I’m not pushing it further. Just know this I don’t want the mother of my kids to work.”
“Me not working is not up for discussion.”She said.”Having my own bridal boutique has always been my dream and no I don’t need your help and I don’t wanna discuss that further.”
“Always pushing me away I hate that, but this discussion is not over let’s finish up this meeting I have another appointment.”
An hour later she left his office and went home alone, it felt like it had been the longest hour ever. She had to give Nicole a whole list of her likes and dislikes if there’s a particular diet that she wants to have since that she’s pregnant, doctor appointments have been scheduled and also added to Nico’s calender. Luncheons and dinner parties, brunch lord knows with whom, spa bookings. What shocked her again is the places they were gonna travel to in such a short amount of time. Berlin, Paris, New York Paris again and making three stops there and the last stop Spain.
“What are we going to do at all this places.”She had asked.
“I have meetings.”He shrugged.
“While you are working what will I do?”
“You can go shopping, see museums visit the park by material for your wedding gown you can do anything you want, and you won’t always be alone.”
She had kept quiet and Nicole had finished up. She told the driver to take her to her flat she just wanted to be alone all of this is getting too much. Everything is still the same as she had left it except for dust here and there from not cleaning, a part of her misses her old life it had been quiet with no drama or any complications. No PR assistants who’ll be knowing each and every detail of her life.
