For some reason he’s at peace when he’s with her, she is like his salvation.
“I missed this.”He told her.”What would you say if we continue this for a while.”
“You mean for me to be your mistress up until you gonna get tired and throw me away like yesterday’s thrash.”She said coldly.
“What’s going on with you.”He wanted to know.
She sat upright.”I just refuse to be any man’s play thing. What do you really want here Nicolas. What was the reason for you to come here… and why did you come looking for me?”
That’s a good question. Why did he look for her and what does he want from her. He doesn’t have any answers all he knows is he wanted her and he does not want them to end things now. He had heard Bella mention that she’s pregnant but she hasn’t said anything at all.
“See you can’t even answer me. I’ve got a lot going on and I would like for you to leave.”She was about to get up but he pulled her back onto him and rolled them over so that he was ontop and she under him.
“There’s no denying this sexual desire between us we both still want each other and I’m not ready to let this go. I’m not the romantic type of guy who’s gonna buy you flowers and chocolates and declare his undying love for you, that’s not me and it never will be I don’t believe in love and I never will. I am what I am and I won’t change for anything or any woman, I’ve always been upfront with all the women I sleep with. They shouldn’t ask for what I can’t give. I want you that’s something that won’t change but don’t expect me to give you more, yes I want us to be lovers but only if you agree I won’t force you into anything that you won’t do. But you and I both know we cannot deny the chemistry that we have going on.”
He made love to her again. Afterwards he got up and left her in bed, he picked up his clothes on the floor and got dressed.
“Do you have something to tell me?”
“Something like..?”She asked in return.
“I don’t know, that maybe you’re pregnant. Bella mentioned something like that.”
She was gonna tell him but after what he had just said she doesn’t think now would be a good time.”No I’m not she must be mistaken.”
He came over to her and grabbed her chin and gave her a kiss.”You wouldn’t lie to me now, would you. If there’s one thing I hate the most it’s lies.”She didn’t answer him she only looked away.”I also hate sharing especially when it comes to my woman, I hope I made myself clear. I’ll be back tomorrow morning to come and pick you up.”
“Why…?”She wanted to know.
“You do have to go to work. Don’t you.”
“I don’t need your help Nicolas. I know how to get to work.”
“Either way I’ll come pick you up and you better start learning now I don’t take no for an answer.”He gave her one last kiss and left. She covered herself and laid in bed thinking about what he had said. If he was not ready for any kind of commitment than how will he commit to taking care of a baby, babies need love, attention, affection and security and he wasn’t ready to give all of those things. She can’t hide the truth from him either he’s the father, after all he has a right to know for the time being she’ll keep quiet. Is she ready to be with him and only be his lover or mistress was she prepared to settle for that. He had been right when he had said the chemistry between them cannot be denied but for how long will that desire last, how long will it take for him to get tired of her and push her aside to bring in his latest conquest. She sighed deeply and wondered what she should do next her job has just become a lot harder. She didn’t sleep at all that night.
The following morning she felt like hell not sleeping had contributed as well. She had ran to the bathroom early this morning and had vomit profusely, this morning had been the worst of all times. She prays that she shouldn’t get sick like this when she’s gonna be around Nicolas. Fifteen minutes later she heard a knock and presumed that it must be him, but it wasn’t instead it was a man dressed in a black suit he seemed to be in his thirties with black hair and brown eyes.
“Can I help you?”
“Good morning ma’am Mr Garcia is waiting for you outside.”Own personal drivers she thought. Nice.
“I’ll be right out.”She said and went to go and fetch her bag. Five minutes later she was sitting next to him in his black SUV. He is looking dashing in his charcoal three piece suit with his hair neatly combed back. Yesterday when she had seen him he hadn’t shaved and now he was clean shaven and smelling divine, the cologne he had on is doing strange things to her and all she wants to do was lean in him and take him all in. He was still busy on his phone so she looked out the window to draw her mind away from him. She’s under his spell and for her own sake and that of her baby she hopes she’s not gonna fall inlove with him because that would be a disaster he’s good looking and not falling for him would be impossible. He turned her face so that she could look at him.
“You have circles around your eyes. Did you get any sleep last night and you’ve lost a lot of weight compared to the last time I saw you. Are you eating properly?”
She has not been sleeping at all. Her mind was all over the place. Dealing with him, finding out that she’s pregnant, losing her mom and now the bank breathing down her phone she did have a lot going on and didn’t want to burden anyone with her problems.
“I’m fine.”
“You don’t look fine to me. Did you have breakfast yet?”
“I’m not hungry. Can you stop fussing.”
“Get used to it. I’ll inform Maria to prepare something for you and make sure you eat all your breakfast. Don’t think of arguing with me I was only letting you know.”
She remained quiet for the rest of the ride. True to his word he told their housekeeper Maria to give her breakfast and make sure that she finishes it. And then he was gone. Bella came out to the terrace where she was eating and drinking chamomile tea.”Good morning.”She said.
“Morning Bella.”
“I guess you’ll be my sister in law soon.”Reina laughed softly.
“What makes you say that.”
“You not seriously thinking that brother will let you leave if he knows you’re carrying the Garcia heir.”
That thought had crossed her mind and she has no idea what she’s gonna do if that time comes.
“Bella me and your brother are from opposite sides of the world there just isn’t a future for us together. You and I both know that I’m not his usual type so tell me do you really think we will last.”
“From your tone I guess you haven’t told him?”She only shook her head.”You do know that you can’t keep this from him right, if he finds out from someone else he’ll take it in a wrong way and the way I know him he hates lies and secrets.”
“I just need time to think, it isn’t just me alone anymore what ever decision I make should be the best for the baby.”
“For the record I think you’re a good woman for my brother and if he doesn’t realise that than he’s an idiot.”
“Having you for a sister in law would be perfect I like you.”Before she could answer Bella’s fiance came. They had met each other when she had come here for the first time he’s also handsome but he doesn’t compare to Nicolas, no man will ever compare to him. She watched how he bent down and kissed Bella tenderly the love between them was clear and visible.
“Reina..”He greeted her.
“Mr Sanchez..”She said.
