It is my wedding day today, I should be happy but I am not, I feel like my life is spinning out of control, I feel like my life is spinning in a direction that I don’t want it to… everything feels so… wrong, so out of place, it feels like I am about to make the worse mistake of my life.
Maybe I would have been happy if I was getting married the the only girl I have ever loved. Zara. But Anyway, this has to be done, this will strengthen the alliance between my family and the Perrozos, this is good for business, it will help my father campaign, it will give us the opportunity to merge our companies together and I will be the CEO of this new company.
Marrying Maddison Perrozo is what is best, it is what our families want.
“My man! It still feels like a yesterday when you were a playboy out here on these streets causing havoc and now you a getting married?! I still can’t believe it!” My annoying brother Hunter said as he patted me playfully on my back.
I took my phone out from my pocket again and texted her.
***Today is my wedding Zara but somehow i cannot stop thinking about you*** I clicked send, the two tick signified delivered.
I stared at the message, I stared at the hundreds of messages I have sent her since that day at the lounge, the day of my engagement to Maddie. I looked at the message, hoping and praying that she would reply. It shows that she is typing on my phone, my heart fills up with joy until the typing stops and the message remains unreplied just like the rest.
I sighed in despair.
” you’ve gotta let her go bro, she chose to leave you and besides she is not even worth you.” My brother Hunter said, he knows that I am in love with a girl who broke up with me, he does not know that that girl is Zara.
“Maddie is amazing, she will make you happy Delvin.” Hunter added. I nodded even though I do not believe what he just said.
Zara just left without any explanation, her apartment is empty, her landlord said she moved out, nobody would tell me where she moved to, I haven’t seen her in the university. It is almost as if she just vanished into thin air, it is almost as if she was nothing but a figment of my imagination.
Why did she leave so suddenly? Does she not love me anymore? Did she ever love me? Was I a fool for falling in love with her? All these questions terrorize me.
“Okay boys let’s head on to the church.” My father said. He is the most excited about this wedding.
“Delvin I am so proud of you, you and Maddison will make a good couple and with your alliance our empire will continue to grow stronger .” My father said. I said nothing, let’s just get this day over with. We got into the cars and headed to the church.

“Shit! Shit! Shit! Wake up Stephen! I’m about to miss my wedding!” Shit! I should be in the house right now! I should have done hair and makeup! Shit! How did I fall asleep here! It was meant to be a quickie, a little bit of sex and now i am late for my own wedding!
“Stephen!” I yelled.
“What?” He replied groggily. I shot him a murderous glance, I shot him daggers from my eyes.
“If I miss my wedding I’m going to kill you.” I yelled as I quickly wore my clothes. What am I going to tell mom and dad? How am I going to explain my lateness to them! Dad is surely going to kill me, he is going to accuse me of trying to sabotage his plan of merging our empire with the Alcantara, he is going to accuse me of trying to sabotage his plan to get us all out of bankruptcy.
“What am I gonna do?! How do I explain my lateness to my parents?!” I said pacing the room in panic.
“You can just tell them you were attacked or something.” Stephen said with a shrug. Wait that’s a good idea.
“Yeah… yeah, that’s actually smart I’ll just tell them that I was mugged on my way home yesterday and you found me and I was too shaken to come back home so I had to stay with you.” I said triumphantly, I am such a genius.
“Stephen quickly let get going, I’m getting married today!” I said excited. I am getting married today! I am getting married to Delvin Alcantara all my money problems will be over! I mean no more budgets, vacations and designers all the way!

“Delvin Emelio Alcantara do you take Maddison Joanna Perrozo to be your lawfully wedded wife.” The preacher said. I turned back, I looked around, looked through the crowd, a lot of people are here, family, friends, reporters. I looked through the crowd searching for her.
I sighed and turned back to the officiator.
“Yes I do.” I said sadly. Maddie beamed.
“Maddison Joanna Perrozo do you take…” the officiator started his sentence but Maddie interrupted.
“Yes I do.” She said…
Cheers to my new life I guess, happiness is a trap, at least now I know that I cannot get more miserable than this…

One by one I am going to destroy every one that betrayed me, one by one they will all feel my wrath. I will take a lot more than their miserable life from them, I will take away everything they have ever loved but for now I have to stay hidden.
I watch from the shadow, with my hood over I watch my dear Valentina from the shadow. She and Ava are walking into a shop, it takes everything for
