“It’s just going to be for a few weeks and I am so sorry.” Lily pleaded with her children in her room.
It was morning and they were prepared to leave for Russia but their children weren’t happy. They would be staying in the Blackwell’s mansion with their grandfather until they got back.
“You could have told us.” Kendra muttered and folded her arms.
“I know, it was out of the blue, I am sorry.” Lily apologised and Kender smiled at her.
“It’s fine, mum.” Kender said and his sister glared at him.
“Thank you.” Lily mouthed to him and he nodded with a smile. Axel walked into the room carrying a bag and they all turned to him.
“We have to leave now.” He said and Lily nodded then turned to her kids.
“The chauffeur will take you guys there soon. You can call us anytime if you need anything or you need to talk to us.” Axel said and they nodded.
“Bye.” Kendra said and hugged Lily. They all hugged each other and Axel headed out with Lily.
They got out of the house and got into the car, the chauffeur drove out of the mansion and Lily exhaled heavily.
She kept tapping her feet repeatedly on the floor as she stared out of the window. Axel noticed, he placed his hand on her feet and she turned to him.
“It’s okay.” He muttered. She nodded in response.
She kept wondering what could be going on in Russia, she had tried calling everyone, including Anastasia but she couldn’t get in touch with any of them.
She couldn’t wait to get there and get everything over with.
After minutes on the road, they arrived at the airport. Lily furrowed her brows as she saw Max leaning on a car.
“What? Max is coming?” Lily asked Axel as the car stopped.
“Yeah, I told him about it and he decided to come.” Axel replied and they both walked out of the car.
The guards carried their bags out and walked towards the plane.
“Hey.” Lily called as she got closer to Max. She hugged him and he hugged her back.
“You really don’t have to come with us.” Lily said as she pulled away from the hug.
“It’s nothing. I need to be distracted anyway.” Max replied.
“What about Nora? How is she doing?”
“She is okay. I lied to her that we were on a business trip.” She replied and Lily nodded.
They all turned to look at the plane and they all exhaled heavily.
“This is it.” Lily muttered. They were about to walk towards it when a car approached them. It pulled over and Nora walked out of it. They all stared at her surprised.
“Leaving without me?” She asked with a smile as she walked closer to them.
“Nora.” Lily called as she got to them.
“What?”
“How did you know we were… ”
“Oh, Kender told me.” She cut Axel off and Lily rolled her eyes.
“You can’t come with us. You have to go back.” Max said but she ignored him.
“Are you okay? You don’t have to come if… ”
“I am fine.” She cut Lily off and chuckled.
“Let’s go to Russia!” She cheered and walked towards the plane.
Lily chuckled and shook her head as she walked closer to the plane too.

MONTHS AGO
RUSSIA
Nadia breathed heavily and took cover, she stared at her bleeding leg and she groaned in pain. She was in the building she was sure El Diablo was in.
Her men already retreated and she was the only one left. She thought about retreating too but it was too late, besides, she was too curious to.
She heard footsteps of men approaching where she was, she managed to get up and fired shots at them.
She suddenly felt a sharp pain at the back of her head, she fell to the floor weakly and tried to keep her eyes open.
Her vision was blurry and the next thing she felt was being dragged. She managed to stay away despite it being so hard.
She was dragged into a room and the man dragging her let go of her when he got to the middle of the room. The man joined the rest of the men and bowed as they waited for their boss.
Nadia groaned on the floor weakly, she tried to get up but she couldn’t.
She heard a deep chuckle that echoed in the room, her vision was getting clear.
She saw a man walking towards her, he got to her and she looked up at him. He had a satisfied look on his face. He had a cigarette at the corner of his lips.
He slowly bent and Nadia got a clearer view of him. The man in her presence was so good looking but she was in too much pain to admire his features. He had a dragon tattoo on his neck, his hair fell over his face a little which made him look so hot.
He slowly moved his hand to her hair and moved it from her face to see her perfectly. He stared at her blue eyes and chuckled again.
“You are finally mine, kitten.”

PRESENT
Lily slowly opened her eyes and lifted her head from Axel’s shoulder, he looked at her and smiled at her.
“You slept for a while.” Axel said and she groaned in response.
“We still have hours before getting there.” Axel added and she nodded in response. He leaned closer to her and kissed her softly.
Lily reciprocated, and he pulled away and kissed her forehead.
“It’s going to be okay.” He muttered.
“I know, I have you here.” Lily replied and he nodded with a smile.
He looked away from her and Lily felt her heartache, she was lying to him. Guilt was eating her up.
She knew she had to tell him but she didn’t know how she was too scared to. Telling him would make him do something irrational. Telling him would be like starting a war.
‘But isn’t it better?’ ‘Telling him to warn him?’ ‘Isn’t it better than sending him to his early grave?’
