Axel and Nadia got into the car and Axel drove.
“If El Diablo doesn’t have them then who does?” Nadia muttered and ran her hands through her hair.
“Maybe the fucked up Russians you are working for.”
“What? They would never do that.” Nadia was sure.
“The Russians hate me so they can.”
“I hate you too.” Nadia said and he rolled his eyes.
Axel’s phone suddenly rang and he picked up his phone. Max was calling.
He hurriedly picked up the call and placed the phone on speaker.
“Axel, we found something.” Max said.
“We checked the security cameras Nadia asked us to and we found something on the last street before they got to their school. They were taken and the chauffeur was shot.”
“And?” Nadia asked.
“Well, we had clear footage of one of the men and he had a tattoo on his right hand. Sun and moon tattoo.” He said and Nadia’s eyes widened in shock.
“It’s the Albanians. The Albanians took them.” Max said.
“Fuck!” Nadia cursed.
“Where are you?” Axel asked.
“We are at the new warehouse.” Max replied and Axel ended the call.
“Why the hell will the Albanians take them?” Axel asked.
“Revenge.” Nadia muttered. She suddenly started to worry more than usual. She was more worried about Kendra because of the slave trade the Albanians did. She also tried to stay positive, they can’t hurt a kid, right?
They got to Axel’s new warehouse and walked out of the car. They met Nora and Max there.
Axel’s phone rang again and this time it was his father calling. He ignored them as they got closer to Max and Nora.
On their way to the warehouse, they passed different cops’ cars, it was announced that the Blackwells twins were missing and the cops were searching.
“What are we going to do?” Nora asked as they got to them.
“If the Albanians wanted revenge then they would want to hurt Axel by using the kids. I am sure they will call.” Max said.
“But we can’t just wait. We have to do something, I know these people. They would hurt them, they don’t care.” Nadia added.
“Yeah, Lily is right.” Nora said.
“Don’t you have a tracker on them or something? Their phones or anything.” Nadia said to Axel and he shook his head.
He was so scared and worried too. The kids were too young to go through something like this.
“It’s been over eight hours. They are supposed to call already.” Max said.
“We can’t do anything, all we have to do is wait.”
~
EIGHT HOURS AGO
“I can’t wait to get to school.” Kendra giggled as she fixed her hair.
“Ugh, because of Daniel.” Kender scoffed and she ignored him.
The chauffeur suddenly pulled over and they looked up to see a van in front of theirs.
Some men walked out and before the kids knew what was going on, they shot the chauffeur and the kids screamed in fear.
The men opened the car door and pulled them out roughly, they pushed them at the back of the van and put a black cloth over their head.
Some of the men got into their cars and also drove theirs.
Kendra kept crying.
“Shut up!” One of the men at the back with them yelled at her and she flinched.
“It’s okay. It’s okay.” Kender said to her and held her hand. He was scared too but he tried his best to hide it.
Kender paid attention, as they took every turn, he counted them and listened to the sounds.
He made sure not to make any mistakes or lose counts, the car pulled over after ten minutes.
The van opened and they pulled the kids out, they couldn’t see anything because the blindfold couldn’t let them.
They pulled them till they got into a house and took them to the basement. They made them sit on chairs and tied both of them to it then they took off their blindfolds.
Kender turned to look at his sister immediately. She was crying and trembling.
Their hands were tied behind the chairs.
“It’s okay, don’t cry.” Kender tried to get her to calm down but it wasn’t working.
“Well, the Blackwells’ favourite twins.” A man with a weird accent said and the kids turned to him.
He looked a bit old. There were three men in the room with him and they all held guns in their hands.
Kendra cried and the man looked at her.
“Get her to shut up.” The man ordered one of the men and he walked towards Kendra.
“No, no. Don’t touch her!” Kender yelled.
The man suddenly slapped Kendra and she screamed in pain. Kender also screamed as tears welled up in his eyes.
Kendra cried out loud and the man raised his hand to hit her again.
“Please, don’t hit her.” Kender pleaded as he started to cry too.
“Leave her.” The old man ordered and the man walked back to his position.
“Kendra, you have to stop crying or they will keep hitting you.” Kender said to her and she nodded. She whimpered and sniffed.
“Good. Since we are both on the same page, let me introduce myself. My name is Besnik and you are here because of what your father did to me eleven years ago.” He said and moved closer to the kids.
“He killed my son and I want to do the same. Kill his children.”
