It was in the middle of the night, they were all in Axel’s living room waiting for a call.
No one could sleep, everyone was worried including Mr. Blackwell. He kept calling every minute and Axel was tired of picking up his calls.
The news that the Blackwell twins were missing was spread like wild fire, the search also continued and the search party got worse.
Nadia was worried, same as Axel. They were both quiet with different thoughts going through their heads, no one said anything to each other.
Max and Nora were in the living room too.
Axel felt so mad he couldn’t do anything, he was so annoyed his children were suffering somewhere and he couldn’t do anything about it.
They were all waiting for a phone call and it was taking forever.
“Oh, God.” Nadia sighed out loud and ran her hands through her hair. Everyone turned to her.
“We have to do something. I can’t just sit and do nothing.” She said.
“What do you suggest we do? The cops are searching everywhere in the city and they haven’t found them yet.” Max said.
“Our men are searching for them too.” Axel added and Nadia sighed again.
“Oh God. They would be so scared. They would be freaking out.” Nadia said worriedly and everyone just kept mute. No one knew what to do.

Kendra groaned in pain as she felt so uncomfortable. Her tied hands were hurting.
There was only one man in the room with them and he had fallen asleep.
Kendra turned to Kender who was mute and just staring.
“Kender.” Kendra called softly and he turned to her.
“My hands are hurting. My fingers feel numb.” She said with tears welling up in her eyes. Kender sighed and shook his head.
“Just endure it. There is nothing we can do.” Kender replied and she started to whimper.
“They hurt so bad.” She cried silently and Kender turned to the sleeping man.
“Hey.” He called but the man didn’t wake up.
“Hey.” He called again but louder this time, the man opened his eyes and stood up.
“Can you please loosen the rope a little bit? It’s hurting her.” Kender said and he stared at Kendra, she was trying her best not to cry out.
“Please.” Kender added. He was scared the man was going to hit him, he looked so scary.
The man moved behind Kendra and loosened the rope, he freed her hands and she rubbed her wrists and sighed in relief.
“What about you?” The man asked as he turned to Kender.
“Oh, I’m okay.” He muttered in response. The man ignored his response and moved behind him, he loosened the rope too and Kender sighed in relief.
“Don’t do anything, just go to sleep.” The man said to them and they nodded. He walked back to where he was and took a seat.
Kendra kept trembling as she placed both her hands on her legs.
“Kendra, what is it?” Kender asked.
“No talking.” The man said sternly as she relaxed in the seat to continue his nap.
“Kendra, what?” Kender asked again but she looked too scared to respond.
“Sir, can I please get water?” Kendra asked nervously and he groaned. He stared at her and wanted to ignore her request but he couldn’t.
A part of him felt sorry for him. He stood up, walked out of the room, and locked the door.
“Kendra, what is wrong with you?” Kender asked and she raised a phone. Kender’s eyes widened in shock.
“Where did you get that?”
“I grabbed it from his pocket when he was untying you. I don’t know why, I just did. I panicked.” She said in tears.
Kender tried to move closer to her but his legs were tied to the chair and they were about two feet apart.
“Give it to me.” Kender ordered and Kendra stretched the phone to him.
Kender turned it on immediately and luckily, it didn’t have a password.
“Be careful Kender.” Kendra said in fear.
Kender clicked on the call app and punched Axel’s number. He dialled it and placed the phone on his ear as he waited for him to pick up the call.
Axel, Max, Nora, and Nadia were still in the living room waiting for a call. Their fear kept increasing as time passed and they hadn’t heard anything.
Axel was about to speak up when his phone rang and everyone turned to him. He hurriedly picked it up from the table and looked at the caller.
He picked it up immediately and placed it on speaker.
“Hello?” He called.
“Dad.” Kender called.
“Kender.” Axel called with relief as they moved closer to him.
“Kender, where are you? How are you able to make this call?” Nadia asked.
“Kendra stole one of the men’s phones.”
“I didn’t mean to.” They heard Kendra cry.
“Dad, I don’t have much time. Listen to me carefully. We were taken from the last street before we got to our school. From that street, after twenty seconds, they took a right turn. Then after thirty seconds, they took another right turn. If you are on the right track, you should come across a church or something similar, I heard singing as we passed by. Then they took a left turn and the car stopped. We should be… ”
“Kender, he is coming back.” They heard Kendra say and the call ended immediately.
Axel and Nadia rushed out of the house too.
The man got back in the room and Kender hid the phone, he walked to Kendra and handed her the glass of water.
The man’s hand brushed his pants pocket and he noticed his phone was gone.
He turned to Kender and he froze.
“Raise your hands.” He ordered and Kender felt his heart race.
