“This is serious Kendra. It’s a matter of life and death.” Nadia said as handed her daughter the toy gun.
“What? Really?” Kendra asked in fear and Nadia sighed.
“No, I didn’t mean it that way.” She replied and Kendra sighed in relief.
“All I am saying is, you have to be serious with this.”
“But you said it’s just a game.” Kendra replied and Nadia nodded.
“Yes, a game but it has to be taken serous because we would be destroying our enemies.”
“But Kender is not my enemy.” She replied softly and Nadia groaned.
“Can you please stop being so innocent?” She asked and Kendra bit her lip.
“I don’t want to play this game. Daddy said we shouldn’t do anything dangerous.” She said and handed the toy gun back to her mother.
“Come on. We have been doing normal things all day, this is just a little game and it’s not dangerous.”
“It involves guns. Daddy said no guns.” She replied and Nadia groaned again.
“Ugh, I cant believe I was once like this. I must have been so annoying.” She muttered and kissed her teeth.
“Are you saying I am annoying?” Kendra asked sadly.
“No. That is not what I mean. All I am saying is, let’s just have a little fun. See, the gun is harmless, it’s a toy gun. The bullets are sticky darts.” She said and shot the gun on herself, a sticky dart came out and Kendra sighed.
“Fine.” She replied and Nadia smiled.
She gave her the gun and Kendra stared at it.
“We are ready!” Kender yelled excitedly and Nadia smiled.
“See, your brother is excited.”
“Okay, I am ready.” Kendra replied with a smile.
“Great. We and the maids are on the same team while Kender and the guards are on the same team. The first team to shoot all the opponents wins.” Nadia explained and turned to the maids in the living room. They were holding the toy guns too.
“Are you guys ready?” Nadia asked.
“Yes, ma’am.” They chorused.
“We are ready, Kender.” Nadia yelled.
Kender and the rest of the guards were in the hallway.
“Let the battle begin!” Nadia yelled and everyone ran around the house. Kendra and Nadia ran towards the hallway.
The game started and they all had fun playing it, the guards and maids enjoyed the game.
A lot of the players were out leaving, Kender and a guard. Nadia and Kendra.
Kendra was in the living room hiding behind a couch while Nadia walked around carefully.
Kender suddenly showed up in front of her and shot at her, she moved out of the way and the dart hit Axel’s forehead. No one noticed him coming in.
“Boom, headshot.” Kender said and Axel’s eyes widened.
“What the hell?” He asked and pulled off the sticky dart.
“Fuck, I could have won.” Kender cursed and Axel’s eyes widened more.
Kendra came out of her hideout and shot the dart repeatedly at Kender’s chest.
“Yes! I killed you. We won!” Kendra cheered happily and rushed to her mother. Axel’s eyes widened again.
“Your eyes might pop out soon.” Nadia said and he glared at her.
“Really? Why would you be playing this type of game with them? And why is Kender cursing?” Axel yelled and Nadia rolled her eyes.
“Don’t yell at her, it was fun.” Kendra said.
“Yeah, she didn’t force us to play it.” Kender added.
“She kind of forced me but I loved it.” Kendra said and Axel sighed.
“Let’s just go.” He said and they sighed before dropping the toy guns and walking towards their father.
They were about to get to him but paused and rushed to Nadia.
They hugged her legs and she smiled and bent to their level. She hugged them tightly for a few seconds before pulling away.
“We enjoyed our day and would love to visit soon.” Kendra said and Kender nodded.
“Yeah, thanks, Nadia.” Kender added.
They both walked out of the house and Axel sighed.
“Thank you.” He said to her and she rolled her eyes. She shot the dart at him and it hit his forehead again.
“Headshot.” She muttered and he chuckled before walking out of the house.

Days passed with everything going great for everyone, the kids talked about Nadia almost every time, and they couldn’t wait to visit her again.
Just like every other day, Axel left the company to pick his kids from school.
He got to their school and waited for them to show up but they didn’t. He found it odd when it was taking so long. He decided to go into their school to look for them himself.
He was close to the entrance when Daniel showed up.
“Mr. Blackwell.” Daniel called.
“Hey, Daniel. Where is Kender and Kendra?”
“What do you mean? They didn’t come to school today.” He replied and Axel froze.
“What?”
“They didn’t show up in school today.” He said again and Axel pulled out his phone as he walked back towards his car.
Immediately, he called Nadia.
She picked up.
“Do you have them?” He asked immediately.
“Axel? How did you get my number?” She asked back.
“That doesn’t matter right now. Do you have the kids?”
“Am I supposed to have them?” Nadia asked back and he groaned.
“Lily.” He called sternly.
“What? I don’t have them.”
“What the fuck?” Axel muttered and ran his hands through his hair.
He wasn’t the one who took them to school in the morning, it was the chauffeur, their regular chauffeur.
“Axel, what is going on?”
“The kids. They are missing.”
