” I want to homeschool her, because it will be a safer option.” Dimitri tells me.
” It maybe a safer option, but you aren’t allowing her to grow! She needs friends and life experiences! She can’t have those things with you being overprotective!”
” She will have life experiences.” Dimitri says flatly.
” No, she won’t because you are being a overprotective ass!” I snap at him out in anger.
” You are being dramatic! Kids get homeschooled all the time and turn out just fine.” He snaps back at me.
” I am not being dramatic! You are by not letting Sadie go to public school or parks. instead you are wanting to keep her locked away!” I scream at him and start heading towards the bathroom.
I get halfway to the bathroom door. When I feel a strong hand grab ahold of my wrist. He pulls me towards him, before pushing me against the wall.
” Dimitri let go!” I snap at him.
He pins both of my hands above my head with his right hand. He than grabs my jaw firmly with his left to make me look at him. ” No, you are going to fucking listen to me!” He says angrily. ” I am doing this to keep her safe! Daniel is still running around free! Not to mention I have enemies everywhere!” He adds.
” I know you have enemies everywhere! I don’t want her living in fear! Beside it will still be a few years before she starts school.”
I watch Dimitri laugh, ” I don’t give a fuck. She isn’t going to public school or to a public park. You and her are staying in my sight. I can’t risk you or her being kidnapped!”
He isn’t listening to a damn thing I am saying. We are just arguing in circles. Not to mention he is being paranoid about us being taken. Which is understandable since I was kidnapped, but he shouldn’t use that to keep Sadie locked away in the house.”
” Dimitri, let go!” I snap at him as I struggle to get free.
” I will let go. When you calm down.”
Right! Because having me pinned against the wall is really going to calm me down!
” Let go, or I will knee you in the crotch.” I threaten him.
I am not going to stay in this position. I just want to take a bath to relax at this point.
I feel Dimitri hold slowly loosen until he releases me. I watch him take a step back, before storming out of the bedroom.
Lettings out a sigh, I walk into the bathroom and shut the door behind me.
Today is going to be long.

I spent an hour in the tub just thinking about everything. I know Dimitri is just trying to keep her safe, but keeping her from the outside world isn’t the way to do it.
Hearing a knock on the bathroom door. I slowly get out of the tub. ” Hang on!” I call out to however is on the other side.
Grabbing the towel I put on the counter. I wrap it around my body, before opening the bathroom door.
Looking to my right I notice Mary leaning against the door frames next to me. ” Dimitri is in a really bad mood.” She tells me.
” I figured he would be in a bad mood. He likes to always be right.” I say as I walk over to my side of the room. I pull open the top drawer of my dresses, and grab the first thing I see. Which is a pair of purple fuzzy pajama shorts.
I slip them on quickly, before shutting the top drawer. I than open the middle drawer. I dig around until I find a black tanktop. I drop the towel and slip the tanktop on.
” Why not just agree with him? When he is pissed off. He takes his anger out on everyone.” Mary tells me.
I turn around facing her to see that she is sitting on the bed. ” I can try talking to him, but it will just start another argument. He wants to home school Sadie. Not to mention he won’t even let her go to a public park to make friends. I just don’t want her to miss out on making fun memories.”
Mary smiles at me, ” Dimitri wanting to home school Sadie is understandable. He has killed a lot of people and made a lot of enemies.”
” So, am I suppose to let my daughter live in fear and not have real world experiences?” I asked walking over to the bed. I sit down next to her and feel her take my hand.
” No, I am not saying you are fighting over something dumb. She has awhile before she can start school. Just agree with him for now and bring it up again. When Sadie is old enough to start school. He might change his mind by than.” She says giving my hand a little squeeze, before standing to her feet.
Yeah, that might be a better option. She is right about it being awhile before Sadie goes to school. She is still learning how to walk. He could change his mind by the time she starts school.
I watch Mary walk out of the bedroom and shut the door behind her. I lay back against the bed and stare up at the ceiling. ” How do I even talk to him? He is a stubborn asshole.” I say out loud to myself.
I can’t convince him to change his mind. So, my only choice is to just agree with him like Mary said.
I sit up and get to my feet. Walking to the bedroom door I open it. I look both ways and see a few guards and maids. Stepping out into the hallway I close the door behind me.
I go down the hallway and into the living room. ” Where is Dimitri?” I ask Rex who was watching tv.
” He took Sadie outside to play in the backyard.” Rex says not looking over at me. I turn around and head into the kitchen. I walk over to the sliding glass door. Looking outside I see Sadie playing happily in the sandbox with Dimitri sitting next to her. Along side Dimitri was Lucia and Liam digging in the sand with little yellow plastic shovels.
” Yeah, they are adorable.” Mary says causing me to jump. I place my hand over my heart and laugh softly. ” Don’t do that. You scared me.” I tell her.
Mary laughs, ” I didn’t mean to scare you, but it is funny seeing the three of them like that. They are considered dangerous, cruel, and ruthless. Yet they are playing in a sandbox with a toddler.”
I laugh a little, “Yeah, it is pretty funny. If I had my phone I would take a picture. Also, I thought you said he was pissed off. He seems pretty calm to me.” I say gesturing to Dimitri who was playing in the sandbox with Sadie.
” He is only calm because Sadie is with him. He already punched a few new guards in the face.” Mary tells me.
Of course he punched some innocent guards. I put my right hand on the door handle and slide the door open. Stepping out into the cool fresh air. I slide the door shut behind me and walk over towards Dimitri and everyone.
” Mama!” I hear Sadie say happily. I watch as she puts her shovel down and wobbly stand up. She uses Dimitri arm as support as she takes small steps forward.
I squat down to her level and hold out my arms. ” Come on, you can do it.” I tell her softly.
I listen to her giggle before she takes small wobbly steps forward. She slowly walks over to me, before falling into my arms with a giggle.
I can’t believe it! She walked without using her walker. My little baby is getting big so fast.
” Good thing I brought my phone with me. I was able to take a video of that.” Liam tells us.
I take my eyes off Sadie to see Liam putting his phone back into his pocket. ” Make sure you send me that video.” I tell him. I stop squatting and let myself fall backwards onto my butt.
I hear Sadie giggles some more and feel her hug me. ” I wove you!”
I smile and hug her back, ” I love you too.”
I watch Liam and Lucia get to their feet. They dust off any sand sticking to their pants. ” We will leave you two to talk.” Lucia says, as him and Liam both walk away.
Hearing the sliding door open and shut behind me. I know they both went inside.
I look down feeling Sadie crawling out of my lap. I watch her get into the sand and crawl back over to where she was digging. I look up at Dimitri to see him staring back at me.
Come on Amara just say you agree with him.
” Still think you are wrong.” I blurt out to him.
Yes, I know I was suppose to agree with me. But my mouth just blurted it out. So, here comes another argument.
