POV: Raphael
“Jeez, thank you!” Eloise let out a deep breath and sighed in exhaustion, pretending to wipe off her imaginary sweat.
“I was wondering how long I could keep up this pretense, and how long it would take you to realize that compared to me, you are nothing. You are just a big fool who thinks that money is everything. You think you have it all, you think you know it all. But you have nothing and you don’t know a thing about me, not one thing.
To think that I was going to let you live with your annoying son and his father. Then you went ahead to provoke me, trying to outsmart me and get my location. Like how do you even think you could find me in a few hours when you couldn’t find your child for the last twenty-four years?
How do you even think, do you have cheese for brains?” she laughed at her, laughing so hard that it made me want to yank her out of the phone and strangle her to death.
“Why Lois, why did you choose to bring such pain and heartache to my family, why did you become my friend after stealing my daughter?
Were you trying to mock me or what?” Raphael’s Mom sobbed, her voice breaking at the end.
“You were the only friend I had and I loved you like a sister. I would have given anything just to set my eyes on you and tell you how important you were to me. Why did you have to hurt my family, what did we ever do to you?” she asked her sadly.
“Oh, quit your whining bitch!
You are not getting any sympathy from me, not now, not ever. How could you have two kids and I have none? How could you let such a pretty child fall sick when I was desperately looking for a child to call mine? You do not deserve her, Juliette. I took care of her; I deserve to be called mother, too; she is my daughter, mine!” Eloise told her, sounding so furious.
I heard Raphael’s Mom in the background sobbing, and my heart broke for her. Not only did she lose her daughter, she just lost her only friend and it’s heartbreaking to see that the person causing everyone so much pain does not feel guilty at all. She is proud of all her evil deeds, and that fucking makes her a psychopath.
“I will find you, Eloise Kendall, and I will make you pay for all the pain you’ve caused me, I will make you pay for making me look like a fool. You have fooled me for twenty-four years, Eloise. You won’t get away with it, I promise you that.
I’ll advise you to keep my daughter safe and alive until I come for her. If you dare hurt my daughter, Eloise. If one hair from her head gets missing, I will make you beg for death.” Juliette Myers threatened her, trying so hard to keep her tone fierce.
But her fierce tone did not make Eloise scared of anyone; if anything, it made her bolder because she laughed at her and sighed deeply at the end, making her feel like a fool.
“Well, it’s settled then,” Eloise responded in a sarcastic tone, keeping her tone as fierce as Juliette Myers.
“It’s settled, best friend. You want me dead, and me, I’ve wanted you dead since the first day I saw you holding two babies in the hospital while I had none. I’ve been trying to get to you for so long, but somehow, you always find a way to escape me. You are always out of my reach, always slipping off my hands each time I come close to killing you.
I’ve waited for this day for the past twenty-four years. Now, I’m going to attack you without holding back; I’ll come at you when you do not expect. And when I strike this time, I’ll hit you where it counts.” Eloise told her firmly.
“If I were you, I would watch my back and keep my eyes open at all times.” She told her, laughing at the end like a lunatic.
“If you weren’t so crazy, maybe you would have found happiness with your family instead of killing them all like a crazy person. If you had brains like you claimed to, maybe you would have found a surrogate in time and had your own kids. But I guess no kid wanted to be born by a lunatic and that’s why none of the procedures you tried worked for you, bitch!” Juliette curses at her, sweating at the end to infuriate her more.
“Crazy huh?” Eloise responded in an icy tone that made me wonder what she was going to do this time. No, actually I wasn’t wondering what she would do because I know that she is a crazy bitch. But I was wondering who would bear the brunt of her anger this time, who would she hurt to prove her point?
That question rang in my head the moment she asked that question with sarcasm, and in my mind, I think I already guessed the answer, but I still didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to escalate the situation. But when she asked the next question, I knew I had to speak up immediately because Eloise Kendall was on a killing spree, and she was so unpredictable and dangerous.
“You know all about crazy people, don’t 6ou Juliette?” she asked again, her voice sounding so dangerous.
“Stop her right now, Miguel!
Make her stop before she makes her do something crazy!” I told him sternly. But the deed had already been done and Eloise was about to show her what it means to be crazy
“Why don’t I show you the real craziness, my dear friend, why don’t you let me introduce you to your soon-to-be-dead daughter?” she asked her in Ina sarcastic tone as she switched the call to a video call, letting Juliette Myers to see her daughter for the very first time in twenty-four years.
“Oh, my poor child!” she called out to Victoria, sobbing her eyes out as she reached out to touch her through the phone. We could see their exchange through the system that was set up in my living room. I could see how tired and sickly Victoria looked, and it fucking broke me. This is taking too long; I can’t let her spend one more day out there; I must look for her and bring her back home. She could even die from exhaustion and restricted mobility before Eloise could think of killing her.
“What have you done to my daughter, Eloise?
She looks so pale and unhealthy. Did you starve my child, are you hurting my baby girl?
What did I ever do to you to deserve this? Why are you so mean and evil-hearted?” Juliette Myers sobbed hysterically, falling to the floor in pain and gasping for breath. Mr Myers ran to her aid and helped her up, holding her close and shielding her from the heated gaze and laughter that followed her fall. Eloise laughed in joy, enjoying her misery.
“You know I wasn’t starving or torturing her all these while, I haven’t even punished her for causing me so much trouble these past few days.” She let out in amusement.
“You are so mean and evil!
You will pay for this, you will pay for this!” Mr Myers yelled at her angrily as he pulled his wife to his chest and cuddled her as if he was shielding her from Eloise Kendall.
“Of course, I’m mean and evil!
Didn’t you just hear her call me crazy?” Eloise laughed hysterically.
“Why don’t I torture her to death, or starve her to death even?
Or wait,
Why don’t I let my chief of security have sex with her so you two can watch?
After all, I did promise to let him marry her,” she lets out excitedly, making me growl in anger.
“You fucking bitch!
I will really enjoy killing you slowly!” I let out in anger at that thought. But I could as well be talking to myself because she couldn’t hear me. And even if she did hear me, it still wouldn’t make any difference.
“Please Eloise, don’t do this. Please I’m begging you. I’m sorry I yelled at you. I’m sorry for anything I might have done to upset you. Please don’t hurt her because of me, she is innocent.” Juliette begged her in tears.
“Hurt her?
I’m not going to hurt my daughter. I’m not doing anything she hasn’t done before, am I?” Eloise asked innocently.
“She works as an escort, and she has a rich boyfriend, and I’m pretty sure sex is not a problem here, Juliette. You birthed a whore like yourself, congratulations.” She told her, clapping excitedly.
“Oh, wait!
Your husband has no idea that you had a lover before you met him, and you only left your childhood sweetheart because of his money and status, right?
Too bad he is hearing it from me. I’m sorry I spilled your secret, dear friend. But trust me, I won’t tell him that you are still in love with your ex-lover and you still wish to be with him too.” She lets out excitedly, saying these things to hurt the Myers and probably make them fight while she watches.
“You know, your daughter is just like you Juliette. She claimed she was working so hard to cater to my need, but I knew she loved screw those men. And so I hid all my money and made her work even harder. She loved it so much, and she used her experience to get a rich guy to fall in love with her.” She laughed, enjoying herself.
“If only that stupid guy knows that she is never going to be his because whether she remains with me or is forced to go back to you, she is betrothed to another man. Right Juliette?” she asked her.
“Come on, say it to her face. Tell your daughter that you had her betrothed to a stranger even before she was born.” She told her firmly, trying to make everyone furious. To think that she is using the job Victoria did to save her life against her. It goes a long way to show that she is just plain evil.
If only she knew that Victoria was not as wayward as she thought. If only she knew that I met her a Virgin, and I intend to keep her as mine no matter what.
