Where Is My Fiancee?

Book:The CEO Contracted Wife Published:2025-2-8

POV: Miguel
I was restless after Victoria left my house. I missed her the moment she left, and I couldn’t shake off the feeling that something bad is about to happen. I tried to call her, but she wasn’t taking my calls, and that made me even more worried than I was initially. I left the house as if my ass was on fire and I tieed locate her, trying to trace her location through her phones GPS.
But I couldn’t get her location, it seems like she turned off the location setting on her phone already. I kept trying to reach her, dropping messages and voice notes, but I still couldn’t get to her. After a while, her phone stopped connecting too, and that was when I knew that something is not right.
I decided to call for backup while I also report this matter to the cops and hand over the DNA results and the other things I have to prove that Victoria is the missing baby that everyone has been searching for these past twenty four years. I was already on my way to make a report at the precinct when I got a call from an unknown number that seems suspicious. I picked the call and someone that claims to be my business partner spoke up,
“Its me, Carlos Gonzalez, your biggest ally and fan. I heard you were in town, that’s why I decided to deal with you directly We need to meet up and talk more about our next shipment. This time, I’m sealing this deal with you, I’m not dealing with Harry anymore. He is getting too greasy, and I fucking hate greedy folks like him!” He told me angrily, sounding so mean and angry.
I was tempted to continue speaking with him to find out the kind of business he was talking about, but that wasn’t the most pressing issue now. I have to find Marisol, I have to make sure that she is okay. I have been trying to find out why my name comes up as a business partner with this guy, Carlos Gonzalez. I guess this is the best time to find out what is really going on and what business he is doing with my assistant, Harry.
“This is not a good time, Carlos. I have an important meeting in town and I’m working on it. I will call you when I’m done.” I told him sternly, ending the call before he says anything else. If not that I want to uncover the secret business that Harry is doing behind me, I would not have spoken nicely to him. I would have told him off and blocked his number immediately. I have no time to deal with people like this.
The thought of this guy and his strange number reminded me of Vera Kendall. I recalled that I had calked Vera and offered her money for the truth. Yeah, I remember. It was a burner phone that I sneaked and gave her the other day. The moment I got back to my car after speaking with her husband, I called the burner phone that I had just given to Vera and I said,
“I’d prefer paying you for information than giving my money to your greedy, stupid husband. Find out everything he knows and wait for my call. I need hard evidence to implicate anyone involved in the kidnapping of my sister. Get it done and I will transfer a hundred million dollars to you if I am satisfied with the information you provided.” I told her firmly, ending the call before she could say a word to me.
I made sure that she got the message and she understands me perfectly. Now it’s time to see if she truly understood me. I picked up my phone again and dialed her number, waiting for her to pick.
“I have been waiting for your call, Miguel Myers. I have what you asked for, do you have my money ready, where can we meet to talk?” she asked me, sounding urgent. I thought it was a trick, but at the same time, I know that Austin would know where I would find his ex-wife and Victoria. So I decided to pick her up and take her straight to the police station to make my report about my sister.
Just like I thought, the cops did not believe me until I showed them all the evidence I have and the ones Vera came with. I had to make copies of all the documents she brought because they were important documents about Victoria’s life and the agents that helped Eloise Kendall to cover up her tracks and keep her hidden. I decided to deal with the accomplices later because I needed to find Eloise and it’s only Austin than can find her for us. At least that’s what I thought.
“Lets get Austin first, he will lead us to his wife and my sister.” I told them firmly.
“I don’t think you will find the answers there because even Austin is looking for Eloise as we speak but he couldn’t find her. She is missing.” Vera told us at the station. But I refused to listen to her, and that was how we got to Austin house to pick him up. I’m glad that we did, because if we had listened to Vera and cancelled our trip to his house, we would not have met Raphael and we would not have been able to locate his house.
When we arrived at his home, chaos awaited us. The house was eerily silent, no maids or guards answered Raphael’s frantic calls, no one could tell us what was happening. As we pushed through the door, dread settled in my stomach as I wondered where my sister could be.
“Marisol!
It’s me Miguel!
I’m here now, I’m here to save you. You can come out now, I’m here to save you!” I called out to her. But there was no one around, not even a maid.
“What happened here, where is everyone?” Raphael asked out loudly, asking no one in particular. The cops moved around, searching everywhere. Luckily, while we searched the house, we found the maids in a room and we convinced them to open the door because it seems like they locked the door from within.
“What games are you all playing with me, where is my fiancee, where is everyone?!” Raphael yelled in anger, his eyes filled with fury.
