Miguel Attacked Raphael

Book:The CEO Contracted Wife Published:2025-2-8

POV: Raphael
“Stop, Raphael!
I asked you to stop right now, I need you to stop and tell me what is going on. What happened to my sister!
Why won’t you answer me?!” he yelled at me, pulling me back to a stop and coming to stand in front of me. I’d heard him asking those ridiculous questions as he ran after me, even running faster than me. But I chose to ignore him because the longer I wait, the more danger the girls will be in.
Now he is just being ridiculous and stupid!
He stood in front of me and blocked my path, pushing my chest roughly and stopping me from getting into my car. He looked at me as if he wanted to hurt me, you would think that we are enemies or something.
“Are you mad or something, Miguel?
Are you bidding for a beat down or you are simply trying to annoy the shit out of me?” I asked him angrily, pushing his chest roughly and pushing my way through him, trying to get past him. But he was relentless, he pushed me back harder, standing on my way as if he could stop me if I really want to hurt him.
“Where is my sister?!” he asked me furiously, his voice harsh and stern.
“I have no idea what you are talking about, now get out of my way before I hurt you!” I warned him sternly. He scoffed and folded his hands in front into of him, his stern gaze fixed on me,
“I would love to see you try, Raphael. Dare me and see what I’m capable of.” He retorted angrily, trying to infuriate me.
“In my anger I swung at him, aiming to punch him. But he dodged my punch effortlessly and pushed me back, hitting me across the face. My punch missed him, but his got to me and that made me mad. I swung harder and hit him back, pushing him out of my way.
He came rushing towards me like an angry bull and pushing me up against my car, holding me by the collar of my shirt and forcing me to look into his eyes.
“If you get away with messing with everyone this way, trust me, you won’t get away if you try that shit with me. Where is Marisol, what have you done with my sister?!” he growled in my face, his bright eyes glaring at me.
“Get the fuck out of my way and let me go!” I yelled back at him, pushing him off with everything in me and getting him to take some steps back. He got so pissed that he attacked me with everything he got, showing his self defense skills, same skills I had as well.
It was a fierce fight as both of us tried to get the upper hand and defeat the other person. He tried to hurt me, and I did not hold back from hurting him too and defending myself. It’s so rare for me to meet a worthy opponent in a fist fight. But I soon found out that Miguel Myers is a worthy opponent that I should never underestimate.
We were both getting tired, we were breathing so hard and sweating like marathon runners. But neither of us wanted to give up so easily. And we would have kept going if the cops didn’t come to us with a very bad report,
“We received a 911 call from your home address, Mr Hawkins. The call was distorted and our boys could not understand what was being reported. Is everything okay at home?” he asked me, looking at me in concern.
“Oh no!
Oh no!
Something is wrong officer, I tried calling my fiancee and her sister a few minutes ago, but they weren’t taking my calls. I left them with their mom because she wanted to see them both and tell them a secret she has been hiding from them all their lives. Now I don’t know what I’m going to do anymore, I don’t know if leaving them with her was a right decision. I need to get to my house right now, I will be needing you to drive along with me so I don’t get pulled over for over speeding.” I told him.
“Get ready, we leave immediately!” the cops told me urgently, sounding worried. He shared a look with Miguel before running to get the others in their cars. Miguel’s car was still parked in there and I assumed that he would run along with the cops to get his car, but he didn’t. He stood right there and glared daggers at me, fuming in rage.
“You left my sister alone with that woman?!
How stupid are you!” he yelled angrily when the cops left to get their car.
“Not now, Miguel!
I can’t do this with you right now, I need to get to Victoria before it is too late. And if you truly care about her like you claim, you would stop trying to stop me and help me get to her in time before we lose her.” I told him sternly.
“I won’t let you go because I don’t trust you, Raphael. I don’t believe one word you just said to the cops, you know why?
Because you are a damn liar, and I have proof that you know the truth and yet you left my sister with that evil woman that wants to hurt her. If anything happens to my sister, Raphael Hawkins, I will end you. I mean that literally.” He threatened me sternly and turned to walk away, leaving me standing there like a moron.
I thought he was walking back to his car, but he just took a few steps to the place where we had stood fighting with each other. It was when he bent down to pick up something from the floor that I even realized that I was not holding my car keys. It had fallen off while we were fighting and I didn’t know about it. He picked it up and unlocked the car, sitting on the passenger side of the car as if he has every right to sit there.
“What the hell do you think you are doing?
Get out of this car before I do something crazy!” I told him
“I dare you, Raphael. In fact, I double dare you!” he retorted angrily, throwing the key in the air for me to catch.
“My sister has been fine with her mother all these while. Then just this morning, I told her I was her brother and I showed her the DNA results that you conducted without our permission. Then all of a sudden you claim she is not picking your calls and that something is wrong?
Well, sorry to burst your bubble, Raphael Hawkins, but I’m not buying that shit. To have my sister, and if truly she is missing, then it must have something to do with you because you are the only one that know that I was her brother. You were the only one investigating our relationship and hiding the truth from her like a dictator that you are.
You are a sick person, do you know that!
How do you sleep by her side every night and look her in the eyes, professing your undying love for her when you know deep in your heart that you are hurting her with a million lies. Does she deserves such treatment from her lover, is that how you are supposed to treat a woman that you claim to love?” he asked me furiously as he punched the dashboard every often to emphasize his point.
I didn’t know what to say to him at this point because I had no idea that he would find out about the DNA test I did for them. The cops drove past us and indicated that we followed behind them and we did. I checked the rearview mirror and I saw Miguels car coming from behind with. I slowed down to see who was driving, I wouldn’t want his boys to follow me home because I still don’t trust him.
“Send them back, Miguel!
I can only deal with one crazy person at a time. If they don’t go away, I’m kicking you out of my damn car!” I told him angrily, drawing his attention to his car that is coming behind us.
“Don’t worry about them, they are just helping the cops to deliver Austin Kendall to the police station seeing as you just took their car for your own personal business.” He explained, looking at me with a smirk on his face. I looked through the rearview mirror and I couldn’t see who was inside from this distance. I wanted to ask him how he knows what they decided in there, but then I saw the Bluetooth iPod in his ear and I realized that he was listening in and communicating with them all along.
“How did she react to the DNA test, does she hate me for not telling her the truth?” I asked out of the blue as we headed down the road. He turned to me and scoffed, refusing to grace my question with an answer. The drive to my place felt eternal, each second amplifying my fear. Now I’m not just scared that something is wrong, I’m also scared of how Victoria would react. Will she break up with me for lying to her?
