Michael’s POV
Falcon wasn’t happy with the fact that our mate was trying to push us away. He’s whimpering and howling sadly because he felt rejected.
“Don’t worry Falcon, we’ll get our mate, I promise.”
I have this strong conviction that I’ll get her to fall in love with me. It’s a miracle that I got to meet her on the very first day that I came to Los Angeles.
I’ll be damned if I let her get away from me. All my life I’ve searched for her. Not that I’ve finally found her, I ain’t letting her go, Never.
I was trying to start up a conversation with her but she ran into the car in such a hurry, telling me to go finalize the deal with her assistant Debby, then she jumped right into her car and shut the door.
I think she was trying to hide her arousal from me. But that would have been totally impossible, I mean even if I didn’t catch the scent of her juices that’s pooling underneath her legs, I could still see her nipples that’s standing upright and perky, begging to be sucked and smooched.
I know that shes feeling the bond. I’ve caught her checking me out when she thinks that am not looking. I can tell that she is only pretending not to feel it, What I just can’t figure out is why shes denying our bond. Why is she pushing me away when we both know that we are meant to be together??
I agreed to leave when her assistant told me that I could come over tomorrow. I mind linked my guys to come over, telling them that it’s time to go But I kept my eyes on her all the time, letting her feel the heat of my burning gaze.
She’s ignoring me but I can tell from her obvious discomfort that her wolf is also nagging at her. I chuckled at her childish acts. She’s actually acting like a teenager that’s scared of love. But trust me, she ain’t escaping me.
The guys arrived soon enough and I could tell from the looks on their faces that they were curious to know what happened between us but I can’t say anything to them right now so I signaled them with a little shake of my head as I turned around and got into the car.
A few minutes later, we were driving back the way we came, heading back to the hotel. My plan was to stay back and trail her vehicle and know exactly where she is going.
But I decided against it because I don’t want to. attract unnecessary attention to myself. These cars aren’t really mine and the drivers are humans. I can’t act recklessly in front of humans so I don’t have an issue with the council when I get back home.
When I got back to the hotel, I took the elevators up to the tenth floor, then I got into my suite and shut myself in immediately. I don’t want to answer their questions until I first understand what is going on.
“Run all you want Mike, but you can’t hide forever you know. You have to tell us what’s going on here. It’s getting so weird and confusing. Is she your mate or is she just a girl that you’re having the hots for??” Derek asked me.
They were all standing outside the door to my suite, trying to get me to talk but I don’t just want to. They’ll never understand why am choosing to stay calm and take this slowly.
“Come on Mike’s we just want to help out. You can’t keep us guessing forever you know. Don’t forget you promised to be open with us.” Brian added calmly but I still kept silent as I stood at the large floor to roof glass window and gazed at the busy streets below us.
Yeah, I know what you are going to say right now. You think I shouldn’t hide this from my friends right???
But I have to, I can’t let them know that my mate is trying to reject me. It would be so hilarious and am sure they’ll probably threaten her until she agrees to submit to the bond.
Oh no,
I have to tell them the truth. They may actually have a better solution for me, after all, they know more about the mating bond than I do, besides they are also affected by this issue.
I turned around and went to open the door for them, watching as they heaved a sigh of relief before walking into my extremely large living room. There is an adjoining bedroom to the left with an extremely large bed. The sitting room is richly furnished with nice couches and a large television set.
Like I said earlier, whoever manages this hotel is doing such a great job. Am sure it’s rated with five stars because it’s quite exquisite.
They’ve been sitting in my
living room, whispering among themselves. I guess they don’t want to be too forward.
“Stop acting like a bunch of grumpy old men and ask me already.” I said in a voice laced with sarcasm. I regret saying those words as the questions started coming in.
“Is she your mate or do you just love her ass??”
“Why did you let her go again??”
“Did Falcon lead you to her again??”
“Does she know that you are her mate??”
“Why was she running away??”
“Whoa, Whoa, Whoa,
Calm your horse’s guys, where on earth do you want me to start from??” I asked with a chuckle.
They simply shrug their shoulders as they looked at me in anticipation, waiting for me to answer their questions.
“Fine, I’ll tell you everything, only if you promise not to interfere without my permission. Promise??” I asked with raised eyebrows.
“Just spill it already. This suspense is killing me.” whined Celine as she heaved a tired sigh.
“Falcon had sensed our mate even before we left for Los Angeles. He said that her wolf is weak because she has been suppressed for a very long time now. I think shes trying to push me away.” I explained calmly.
“Is she really the one??” Josephine asked in shock.
“Yes, she’s my mate. She feels it too but I just don’t know why she’s pushing me away.” I said sadly as that feeling of rejection swarmed over me one more time.
This must be how that little girl had felt when I rejected her. Am such a terrible person. I deserve to be treated this way. It’s payback for what I did to that little girl that I was supposed to protect and I deserve it.
I didn’t know that I have zoned out on them until Celine and Josephine came over and engulfed me in a hug, comforting me silently as they felt my sadness too.
“That’s unacceptable!!! She cannot reject you, she has no right..”
“Don’t you dare!!!” I yelled in anger as I released my aura to suppress him.
“You would not threaten my mate in my presence!! I would not allow it. She is your future Queen and you must accord her the respect she deserves.” I said in anger and he raised his hands up in mock surrender as he smiled warmly at me.
I looked at him in confusion, wondering why he looked so amused when I just scolded him in anger. I would have asked him why he looked so amused but the girls distracted us with their loud screams.
“Did you invite her over???”
“Was that why you didn’t want to let us in??
“Are you going to have a talk with her??”
“Oh my God!!!
We’re going to finally start the mating process!!!
I’ll finally bear Brian’s mark on my neck!!!” Celine yelled happily.
“What the hell are you talking about??” I asked in confusion as I turned to glare at them.
I could see that they were looking outside the window so I followed them to look outside the window, and then I saw her walking towards the hotel, looking like an angel that just dropped down from the sky.
I could not help gawking at her as she sauntered towards the hotel. Her car was parked a few feet away in a marked spot that said, “Reserved.”
Derek and Brian also came forward to see what they were talking about and we all stood by the huge window and watched as she walked towards the hotel’s entrance, carrying herself with so much poise and grace like a queen, with her hips swaying in perfect rhythm.
Falcon has been quiet for some time now but when he sensed that our mate is close by, he started purring and howling in joy once more.
I could feel my dick beginning to rise as I watch the movement of her ass. Merely watching her walk has aroused a hungry desire within me and I know for a fact that no other woman can quench these desires. Only the warm touch of my mate can ease the pain am feeling from my throbbing dick.
She must have sensed our presence also because she stilled in her movement and turned to look around, checking her surrounding. I think she senses danger or she is extremely alert at all times because she seems to always know when something is about to happen around her.
We had to duck so she would see us watching from the window. My friends were laughing hysterically because we’re sneaking around like a bunch of kids but I couldn’t laugh along with them because I was trying so hard to hide the budge between my legs.
It was at this very moment when I am still trying to control my l for my mate that Brian choose to tease me with a silly joke,
“Fucking hell man!!! I can imaging that hips twerking on you as she rides you like a cowgirl.”
“Holy Fuck!!!!” I yelled in frustration as I ran into the bathroom to run a very cold shower for myself. I could hear them laughing out so loudly as I ran off to the bathroom.
Damn!!
Am so fucking screwed!!!
How do I keep this up when I can’t even watch help walk by without having a hard-on.
This is going to be a lot harder than I thought. I better come up with a strategy to win her over or am going to be taking these cold showers for a long time to come.
As I lay on the bathtub getting soaked in a very cool water, I couldn’t help why she was here, at this very hotel, at this very moment.
Could it be fate??
